I'm having trouble understanding the benefits of the Wikihouse system. Sure it looks attractive, but Wikihouse's own website states that it will most likely be even more expensive than traditional construction. Stick framing just isn't that hard, and rather than using so much expensive plywood, it uses dimensional framing lumber when possible. Are there really cost savings to be had?
I would guess this is much more DIY friendly and therefore much cheaper in terms of labor? Framing a home may not be that difficult physically to do a single time for a small home but it does require a great amount of knowledge to do well and properly.
