I am so happy I came across your channel tonight! Your videos are so cool! I’m really considering going to school for architecture now and you inspired me to take the next step, plus my good friend who goes to college for architecture and shows me his projects! They’re so cool! You both have inspired me even more tonight to study architecture!!😁thank you!
Hey Bro. I thought jamaicans could only run and sing. Your channel is massive bro . Loving it to the max, all the way from Sierra Leone. Learning so so much. Huge thanks
Thanks alot for how you break it down. GOD BLESS YOU, however i have a question, i use a normal wall in the design pallete, not from walls button containing different walls, but seema not to b able to do an import to sketchup.. Walls dont show,, what could i be getting wrong
Please in metric what scale should be used because when I xref the grindlines into the ground floor it is too large for it. In the grindlines the scale is 1:100_1 when I make it 1:100 it becomes very small. Please help out Thank u
So go back to your grid line construct, highlight all gridlines, right-click, go to Annotative Object Scale, click Add/Delete Scales, then add all the scales you think you will be using through the project (for example 1:10, 1:25, 1:50, and 1:100), then click OK, Save, Exit. Then open your ground floor construct and see if that works.
Currently working on a house where I have two different wall types, but they don't intersect with each other. The way it stays there is odd because it's wrong. There won't be gypsum board on the end of the wall. It will intersect with the other wall. Any tips here because it looks bad on the plan. I've tried searching and going to autocad forums but still nothing. Revit would just intersect the walls no problem. Trying not to give up and figure autocad architecture out. But a part of me feels like just doing this manually, but kind of on a deadline.
It is possible. There are a couple of ways to go about it. You can use the _Cleanup Edit in Place_ command to do a manual cleanup. Or, if you want the walls to connect and clean up automatically, you can edit both wall styles by selecting _Edit Style_ , then on the _Components_ tab, ensure the _Priority_ value is the same in both walls. Example, if Wall 1 has a priority of 500, ensure that Wall 2 has a priority of 500 as well. Wall components from Wall 1 and Wall 2 with the same priority will merge. Also, the lower the priority value, the more likely for that wall component to cut through other wall components. A good rule of thumb is to make structural components have smaller value (ex 500), and finishing material/components with larger values (1000). Revit has a very similar principle. It's just that folks don't know where to find it in AutoCAD Architecture, yet. Fingers crossed, I will do videos on topics like these in the future.
@@TDVision_U Ah okay thanks!! Shortly after writing the comment, I did find the manual cleanup, but find that it works only in certain situations. I will look into the other solutions you mentioned later on today. Surprisingly enough with Revit, I find building components to be way better than auto architecture so far. Walls for example. All that offset stuff, etc. Revit, just plops wall components and keeps it pushing. Materials are easy to find for showing, etc. Like I put Arch shtake, and it doesn't show in 3d view for some reason as the hatch although I selected it. The brick portion shows, but not the wood. This will be fun to figure all out, but a stressful fun. Thanks again!
Thank you for all you are teaching. I have AutoCAD 2023, not the architecture. Your tools are supposed to come with 2023 version, I searched all over the place but cannot find the tools you are using. Can you please let us know how to find them?
Hi, I reached till Ep-4 by now. it is really nicely explained. Just a question that can be make our own type of wall if it is not there in the library. this goes for all other elements such as beam of different cross section etc.
Thanks mate, your videos are really super cool, Plz tell me that Autocad Architecture is a separate software or is just an added toolset in the AUTOCAD software because I have the autocad 2021 student version and it is not showing me such tool palette. Please guide me
Hello, Wonderful tutorials ... I have two questions. 1 How to create customs doors and windows? 2 / How to create customs walls? Thanks u so much from west-indies too.
You probably would have to create a new wall type. It will look like a regular wall in plan view, but you'll have to apply a bamboo-like material to be represented in elevation views.
I am doing this project for the second time just to recap and in this chapter, my walls when seen in 3D come as plane dark green walls (The layer colour) instead of the brick walls pattern. Can I get help with this please?
Because of the student version I was unable to get CMU-6. But I saw that you use centered justification but when I do I end up getting 4" off the exterior measurement of any project drawing. What is your advise on me having proper measurement.
@@TDVision_U The method of adding a wall which isn't shown in the palette, cmu-6 in this case, does work in the student version. I had to add 6" stud walls for my drawing.

Please, if I want to generate or get a bamboo frame wall, how do I get it?

@@TDVision_U Can I also use railings and overly heighten them?
Big up me boss🔥🔥🔥🔥

Make sure the grids and the floor plan are on the same level. Also make sure the Global Cutting Plane is capturing everything you need to see.

🤔 Sounds like you selected the wrong wall type? Double check. Or you're on shaded mode, rather than wireframe or hidden.
Hello everyone, The width o my CMU-6 wall is set at 152.40 meters, which is way out of proportion. Can anyone help on how to fix it?
i love this videos but i cant find some commands on my autocad can u help
You may need to get the AutoCAD Architecture version. Thanks for watching!
For some reason the Wall tab won't appear to draw other wall styles/types. I did thick on the box 'all pallets' but nothing happens.
Try using the STYLEBROWSER command.
Because of the student version I was unable to get CMU-6. But I saw that you use centered justification but when I do I end up getting 4" off the exterior measurement of any project drawing. What is your advise on me having proper measurement.
If u are using the regular/standard wall, you can change the width of it to 6" in the properties tab. Let me know if it worked.
@@TDVision_U The method of adding a wall which isn't shown in the palette, cmu-6 in this case, does work in the student version. I had to add 6" stud walls for my drawing.
