Ult shield doesn't matter that much for a w spam build, and it rewards more closer play. Passive execute can still be proceed with a W, R, W or even 2 Ws (if u go transcendence and cdr boots) but it still 2 hits in a row.
Theres a neat trick when you evolve her abilities that lets you skip the evolve animation You have to level up using your mouse by clicking on the little arrow above the ability, and immediately after clicking, press recall It should override the evolve animation with the recall and the progress bar should say "Recall" instead of "Evolve ...", then just cancel the recall and you successfully skipped the evolve animation

This build I have been trying out, its fun and evolves things nicely. My friend also suggest trying out dirk rush for ap build but idk.

Pekin I would LOVE to see you play the battlemage or hybrid Kai'sa build! If you check Kai'sa builds on mobafire, a couple of the top builds are hybrid/AP. I believe the guy who had multiple different builds was called Snipy? His 'battlemage' Kai'sa was SO fun to play when I tried it, iirc it involves zhonyas and everfrost, and gives you a little more power in closer range. I think you'd have so much fun trying out some of the Kai'sa builds on mobafire
I wish riot would either let people play weird off meta builds that might not be intended or simply limit what champs can buy what items, they need to pick one or the other. If they really want a champ to be designed and played a certain way they can just make it so you can only buy adc items for example.. I personally think they should let the players decide how a champ is most fun to be played and stop forcing champions into a specific hole.

Hey Pekin, I recently started playing mid because of your videos, and I wanted to ask something. The character I've been playing is Swain, and I've been getting a lot of people in my games blaming me for not rotating when there's a character that shoves faster than me early game. Is there anything I can do about this besides just rotating and losing farm to an unfavourable lane state??
Don't do that in solo queue, ever. If your jungler/laner doesn't understand the concept of prio, you can't help em not being bad. Play for yourself, always, then help em when you're strong. Rotating for a fight is always a gamble, since you don't know the outcome. Sure if you get a kill or two cause you rotated that's good, but if nothing happens, you miss waves, gold and especially XP which is super important early. What you can do tho is recognizing when something is about to happen, and you can do everything in your power to shove the wave, which shouldn't be too hard on a champ like swain. Always watch what your jungler is doing and try to match him
you should be aiming for Q evolve at lvl 9 you can do sit on pickaxe or 2 long sword so you can get evolve way sooner there's also some stuff with man flow band giving you more man max meaning that Manamune will give you more ad to help get Q evolve (this is not needed though)
Can you try the metas in rank cause i wanna see how players will react to that. cause in normal games all players are just trying new stuff or learning diff champs.
AP Kai'sa would be viable if her passive stack lasted just a second or two longer on enemies. You could restack it then over and over if you keep hitting, but oh well. Shame Riot keeps removing weird off meta fun stuff. I really liked AP Zeri but yeah... RIP
@@hexifyy8248 Zoe still actually has to pretty much get in the face of the enemy to damage them with a long range Q and can easily be punished for it. Kai'Sa can just stay 2 screens away doing the same amout of damage without putting herself at risk.

It's not really worth playing, because your early game is terrible and you need to hit two items before you are more than a cannon minion. The Q AP ratio buffs and passive % increase make going hybrid a lot better, but the way the numbers work out you have to land TWO Ws AND proc passive to do equal damage as before the nerf. Which is possible, but very unreliable. Sure you can still chunk soft targets (max damage from a single hit is around ~700-800 with no MR), but the payoff for being useless for the first 20 mins isn't really high enough.

As Kai'Sa you can build anything as a 4th and 5th item, but on basically all her different builds, her 1st and 2nd items are pretty strict

Your w has an insane range, so alot of time when you aren't risking loosing a lot of minions you can partially rotate and use w to get an easy assist.
With the huge AD scaling on Kai'sa W, would it not be better to build enough AP for it to evolve and then build lots more AD?
a AD Kai'sa does not do that much damage with the W compared to a AP Kai'sa, also now Kai'sa Q and R scales better than before
