I've been using SublimeText on my desktop (Mac) and don't know how to get the new theme on Wordpress to see if the changes worked. Might seem like a silly question but it would help a lot. Thanks!

I'm sick of seeing "Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content" on my site it drives me nuts! There is not one single tutorial anywhere on the net that shows you how to do it. Remove render-blocking JavaScript: and Optimize CSS Delivery of the following: Autoptimize has over 200,000 downloads - the only reason I am want to learn how to code is because I want to fix the errors I get from google pagespeed - I bet I'm not the only one. I already bought your course on udemy and if you made this one I would buy it too.

@joe McMurry. compress your javiscript and css files, use .jpg images, decrease size of images to less than 1920 x 1080p, don't use inluine javascript, some plugins can affect speed and hide the content but show an animation till all content loads in

I've followed your tutorial and I've looked at the wordpress codex that follows a similar method but I'm getting a problem. For some reason the "get_theme_mod" function is returning blank on the header hook. I've tinkered with it for some time but I can't seem to pinpoint the issue. I've tried many permutations of it's use and have echoed and check the source, where the css is inserted into the head shows blank for all but very few places of the function. If you can assist that would be greatly appreciated. You make some wonderful videos.
excellent series!!! To me wordPress was for dumpFucks who call themselves web-developers. But you had proved me wrong. There is definitely huge potential in WP. Like to also see some php functions examples to supplement js or jQuerry, if that is even possible

+amila upathissa Sure! In this particular video I am using "Sublime Text" and in the earlier videos in the WordPress series/playlist I'm using "TextMate" - another great editor is "Atom" - can't go wrong with any of these.
