Nice video. I have been to many of the places mentioned. My best memories mentioned come from Tamarindo and Manuel Antonio. Best place to stay is rent a condo from an owner at Reserva Conchal .. For more adventure head south to the Cocovado and a sleepy village called Punta Banco. The north coast of Costa Rica is drier for winter sun. The further south towards Panama is greener and less populated. People everywhere are super nice.

This is great, I stayed in Tamarindo for 7 days and then 2 in Arenal in 1999, you didn't mention the hot springs at Arenal. Simply amazing, I really want to go back and soak in the mineral baths.
Reminds me of my honeymoon vacation back in 2007 , my goodness please take me back...

It's Jaco beach 😘 love this video. I just visited Costa Rica last Nov-Dec. We went to Guanacaste ,Flamingo and much more.
but you need to buy health pass Insurance for kids and adult if you travel Costa Rica at this time

Thank you. Very good info. Only thing I would add is if you could somehow add a map to show the locations. I'll be visiting next month and I'm not familiar with all the places names etc. So I'm not to sure if some of these great locations are near where I'll be staying.

I can't decide between Tamarindo or Playa del Coco. Which area has more activities?
I doesn’t matter they are very very close to each other, but I recommend you tamarindo, you definitely have to explore the other beaches around there, playa negra, playa avellanas, playa conchal is one of the most beautiful beaches there and there are plenty more beaches in guanacaste.

Recommend to use google earth to find the best beaches and private around any zone of those you choose. Both are worthy.

To be honest, Jako (5) and Manual Antonio (2) were the worst places on our trip - touristic and overcrowded places. Every local and people who live there told us to skip them, but we didn’t hear and finally wasted time. Tamarindo (4) seems to be waste of time too, but we haven’t been there…
