I am confused as I have to make a web app which using app script,js,charts as well as google sheet. What is the sequence i should follow to learn them. There are lots of playlist in this channel.
There is a simpler way to build diagrams nowadays. I don't like guys who write "Check out the video..." But I bet that out 3.5 min tutorial will change your life :)
I am trying to resize the chart using google script (so that I can press a button and resize the chart). If I use modify() I lose all the other chart settings (range, lines, gridlines, etc)! Please can you help!?
I would like to show in the chart only Apples and Bananas (I select them with ctrl click) but it takes all the range in the chart, so oranges too. Is it possible to solve this trouble? In Excel it works as I want.
Can anyone please help me out with the following: if you choose a simple table diagram, somehow you can't change the background or font of the table. I need the background to be transparant. Somehow this just isn't possible??
After making any chart, is there any procedure to lock it from accidental editing? If we simply place the entire chart inside the cell (by formatting cell size) and protect that cell range, still the chart is not locked against editing by other users. Can you explain how to protect the chart against editing unintentionally or intentionally?
I'm not sure that it's possible to do it in Google Sheets, but in our tool, you can do it a few times faster and then copy the sheet to the presentation in 1 click. So then you will be one hundred presents rue that nobody accidentally would change it. Check it in our tutorial at 2:52 (th-cam.com/video/OR4he2mB3y4/w-d-xo.html)
Hello I just need a help.. I am trying to import an excel sheet(1 sheet with timeline graphs) but it is not showing the same S on the excel sheet. What must be gone wrong? Can you help? Best,
how do you embed charts into a sheet so when you HIDE or GROUP the columns that hold the chart... the chart hides along with the columns. As it stands now you hide the columns but the chart stays which is completely useless if you are hiding columns you need to hide EVERYTHING contained in that area.... anyone know?
I will often create two tables - a presentation table and a helper table. I use the presentation table to display the graphs, totals, and groups I calculated/created within the helper table. The presentation table is purely referential. I've heard that pivot tables can help with this kind of presentation too.
Okay. I have a problem 21:53 bar chart. If I need to display total of females and males values on chart how do I do that ? Please help me. I've been searching for that so long
Thank you so much for this useful video. Enjoyed a lot while learning. I was looking for a basic video to start learning data visualization and was not being able to find a suitable one. Then this video appeared. And NOW I can do all the necessary stuff for my thesis. Gratitude for your dedicated efforts.
Hello, This tutorial is great!!! I have a worksheet with two columns, one is the months of the year, the other profit or loss for each month of the year. I would like to make a column type chart that would automatically format negative months as red and positive as green. thank you!
This worked great & Thanks! I have a follow up question. I have (6) tabs all going back to one master tab. Is there a way that when the informaiton is compiled on the master tab that it comes in and goes into chronological order? One of the columns copied over is a date field. It would be nice to have all the dates put on the master sheet together. Right now it keeps them together by each individual tab. Does that make sense?
cool i'm getting to know your channel now, i'm having difficulty i use google sheets to do my basketball projections but when i play game results into the spreadsheet it is only upright do you know how to change that ???
Howdy friend, great vid! Will appreciate if you have any videos related to Google Sheets but using an Android device or IPAD. I'm aware there seems to be some rather annoying limitations as to what can be done and what not on Google Sheets with Android and IPads... but just wondering if you or anyone in here know of a work-around when designing charts with Google Sheets while using those other more-limited devices. It would be especially useful for when on the road or traveling and we don't have a regular computer at hand.
does anyone know how to make a chart if there are multiple matching cases in the first column every video has every row being unique. what about if say Greg makes 5 sales and Cindy makes 3 and Steve makes 1 making a total of 9 rows how do you get the chart to sum all there sales based off of matching names??
I'm using multiple sets of data for a population chart. Every time I put in my information it automatically sets all the data on the chart to 50%. Any way of fixing that?
Its a shame the app version is so bad. There is no way to create a simple one line x-y chart in the mobile app version. Only a scatter chart is possible. The app will not allow you to set a y-axis.
Hopefully, a person with your 'in-depth' knowledge can help. Where can I access Detailed info on the 'ENGR. FUNCTIONS', specifically, what each one DOES with EXAMPLE. Thanks!
Hey buddy , you are doing a greate job. Thanks for that but i have one concern why you dont start it with basics like menuwise . one video on file and edit then another one is on view and data then format and tools . It helpful for everyone to learn it bye step by step and easy to understand your complete channel. I hope so you gotcha .. rite keep it up dude good work
You need to look up more basic videos to learn how to work the spreadsheet menus and do more basic stuff with Google Sheets. Or you can do what I did many years ago when I first started getting acquainted with Google Sheets. Actually, it's what I did while earning Excel, since I already had that down when I first worked a Google Sheets spreadsheet. Anyway, basically, I just opened a blank spreadsheet and started using it, clicking everywhere just to see what everything was for and how to use all the features. Then if you get stuck on something you can always open the help feature in the spreadsheet (both Google Sheets and Excel have a Help section that you can access) to learn how to do something. It's all very simple really. After familiarizing yourself with the spreadsheet and learning all of the easy stuff (like the menus, etc) you'll be able to breeze through more technical videos on how to work with charts, design elaborate tables that connect to other tables or spreadsheets, build fancy equations with Google Sheets functions (which are very similar to Excel, if you've ever used it) and basically all there is to do with Google Sheets. Just saying if these videos started by teaching viewers how to use the menus... they'll each probably be like two hours long!
@@ExcelGoogleSheets LOL. Thick skin is a wonderful asset in the TH-cam world. I often learn things I never knew by watching your videos. Do I know how to make charts? Of course, I do? Did I learn something new by watching this video? Yes. Absolutely. There is value in watching someone else explain concepts you already know. This is especially true in a world full of technology. I watch your videos because they also teach me HOW to explain concepts I already know. No snark. Just fact.
You just saved my life for my project.
Great presentation Thanks

@@graceholbert2126 Nop i gave up long time ago ;) and Now, I stick to Python and avoid appsscript :D
great video pal. thanks for sharing and making it so easy to understand. best
I liked and Subscribed ;)
How can I update the chart title in Google Sheets based on a cell value dynamically?
I'm guessing that would be an entirely new App Script video series.
