I’m not sure if there is an FOV change in the editor but I always feel like I have created a behemoth of a creation sized for giants and I spawn it in and I can’t even stand in it lmao
Thank you! I just got the game last week and I feel the most waste of time is building with blocks and not getting things looking right, until I sort of realized everything actually places and inverts itself unlike Space Engineers. Also your video helps me realize just how to use the various pyramids to get started the right way first time.
Honestly this vid helped me out so much. Found a Canadian Coast Guard cutter I really wanted to use but it was the old stepped hull and was driving me nuts. On its way to being updated now. Thank you.
Thanks a lot for this. I was having an absolute headache trying to get the blocks to fit together but after a while I got used to which ones to use where. I think there's still a few more blocks they should add to give us a bit more ability to fine tune the curves of our hulls, but I'm still very happy with the ones we have at the moment.
cant figure out how to shape these together I've wached this many times how do you erase PART of what you place it seems like it erases the whole thing, and I always have a small triangle that sticks out that doesn't blelnd it's driving me crazy
Yeah pretty lazy on the devs part, I mean at the very least the mass should be more accurate, a 1x2 wedge is not the size of a 1x1 cube if you imagine it folded in on itself. It should be like .75 mass. I'll cut them slack on the drag since I imagine that's harder to code for, but not plugging in more sensible mass values is just unexcusable and it forces players to do cheesy shit like place pivots in the bow since it now weighs twice as much as it should and sinks relative to the rest of the hull.

Hahaha too right, got to measure properly beforehand or else I always do this.
4 blocks is 1 meter
change the camera setting to the real world, youll get a sense of the size
I always place a door first for reference
@@npc6817 I do that to.
how have i never known that you can drag wedges, this is such a time saver!
Really needed a tutorial to make different types of hulls and this helped, thanks!

god tier tutorial, gonna name my ship stormbreaker that hull shreds the shit outta the waves for sure
This video unfortunately goes unnoticed by a lot of stormworks players. But this is extremely helpful! Thanks man!

dude tahnks man this seriously helped. Had no idea how to use those 2x2 2x4 etc wide pyrmid blocks until this. Champion

Thanks so much for helping out on making hulls, it really made my ship's hull smoother than a baby's bum
Wow! Never thought of using those blocks, thanks!
This really helped me make a hull especially the stern

thanks a lot! I'm working on my hull modelling and this will surely help!
Really helpful! Thank you!
any thing helpful for remaking a old hull??
I followed your tutorial but my boat does not seem to float, but the hull sure looks great!
He makes it look so easy. He did in 20 minutes what it takes me hours to do
U have to copy the vid
U made the hull nice
can you upload the hull to the workshop?
The stern is the hardest thing to learn, and do.
Thank you So much! (I subbed!)
is the hull on workshop ??
What ship is this?
Thank you bro!
Tab key is your friend... use it.
What does the tab key do?
@@MarreLirre Olens the parts menu. He always went for it with the mouse, while tab is much faster.
@@NPC_-mf4dw Oh, right. Thank you #1138!
@@MarreLirre x toggles erase aswell
Can you do a video on airplanes? I spent like 15-20 hrs designing this damn plane and I cant get it to fly.
I'm a bit late, but test the plane as you go. Add more thrust components and it will eventually fly
I totally forgot about the bigger sized pyramids
Random question, how many hours d you have in the game, just because you are super good at designing boats?
Around 700, though the majority hasn't been spent building.
Too bad the bigger the 1x1 slopes and pyramids are effectively normal blocks in terms of drag
