    FINALLY!!!!! someone explaining kanji properly!! I tried going to japanese classes and it was so confusing! not because of any other reason but because they refused to explain in so much detail! i love this series!

    IIT Kanpur has delivered this lecture par excellance. I couldnt find 1 decent series on japanese and here i am! Indian govt and its NPTEL project is truly amazing! Arigatou gozaimasu sensei for the amazing lecture

      Thee are many Japanese Teachers. Their Listening practice series are very good both for the content and the way of teaching. For example JAPANESE IN JAPAN. AYANO'S JAPANESEB LESSONS etc . You will know the language as well as the culture. There was a 2 hour video on Jap History too. Please try

      neelu, you could also use Imabi.net, a free website that offers structured lessons on Japanese. there are around 422 lessons on the site, but don't worry, each of them is bite sized and you can learn from ground zero to classical Japanese, but the classical thing, u probably wont need. And you can also use Memrise, but be careful, there are two courses, one with Japanese script and another with no script. so choose the one with script. After using memrise for abt 1 and a half yrs, you can switch to Anki.There is also a online Japanese dictionary called Jisho. And there is a paid web service called Japanesepod101.com. If u got like Rs 700-800 spared, then i highly recommend you to use the website. it is highly efficient for learning Japanese.

    I really don't know why but I feel that I kind of learn and understand the lectures better if they are like 5-6yrs old and it does make it seem to my mind that it is worth giving time, as far I've saw it.. I think it's pretty nice and mam did put her efforts in it,

    Watch a foreign culture show with a completely unknown language with subtitles of a different foreign language of a completely different culture doesn't give me the real feel and that's why I'm watching this.

    I’m Japanese. Her pronunciation is different from our language. I recommend you watch Japanese animations to imitate some phrase in these animations if you wanna learn authentic pronunciation.
