Brilliant video. Very helpful and some great footage of the beautiful owls. I'm trying to find some tawny owls to photograph and you've given me a lot of useful tips which will hopefully help!

How did you get on had much luck?
Find your local woodland it has to be Broad woodland where there is water and near a farm and you should find them me and my partner had 3 tawny owl chicks what have just branched out the other night with 2 parents around them it was amazing

Great video! I know there are some tawny owls in the forrest nearby and I want to find and film them. Do you know if there is any good chance to see them in the winter, or some preparation to do to try to locate them?
Go for a walk in the woods during the day look for large holes in trees where they could nest. Look for large flat branches they could perch on and hunt from. Also keep an eye out for pellets. You can also go sit the woods at dusk and watch and listen to them hunt. Hope this helps and please let me know how you get on.
