We were close enough that his mom put me in the obituary.. Michael LaFace Pittsburgh if ya care to learn a touch about my bro in his obituary.. 🌊💧💦 He overcame the addiction that they all had, and the crack epidemic in the 90’s, finally beat em both and his poor 46 yr. old body couldn’t do it anymore.. He had a heart attack, then stroke, then pneumonia in the hospital.. My heart is broken, but it’s really broken for his mother, she buried her loving husband of 52 yrs after a fast 3 month battle with pancreatic cancer, then a month later had to bury her son abruptly. I can’t imagine the pain she feels. My man were both in a dark place, we talked about it, but I didn’t think he’d leave my side this soon.. we had so many plans.

This is my baby brother’s song. He was killed in December of last year. He was only 21 years old, a US Marine, and my very best friend- my 2nd half. He was an incredibly talented musician, and loved absolutely everything Chris Cornell. He could play and sing the hell out of this song, and I swear every time I hear 3:45-4:25 I can hear him playing it, just like I did so many times hanging out in his room listening to him practice. I never realized how much this song would mean to me or how much these lyrics would be so spot on. Fucking hell this hurts like nothing I could imagine, but this makes me remember so many of our good times and makes me feel close to him like not much else can anymore ❤️

He was alive whilst they were trying to rescue him and knew what was happening to him. I can't even imagine what it was like for him, crying now thinking about it and listening to Chris's grief for his close friend. Although my brother didn't posses the talents of your late brother, he was very handsome and a real charmer! It was a terrible blow to the community as he was popular and truly loved by many. When my mother had to say goodbye at the funeral her painful crys were like nothing I'd ever head before or since. Chris had a sound mind, but enlightenment historically has only been for the very few...yet that is our divine purpose here, to recognise our eternal nature that's already here, prior to all thoughts. About 6 months ago I was bored and searched for "grunge" on Hulu. I found the VH1 Grunge documentary, which taught me about Andrew Wood. I had no idea. I was 11 when Temple of the Dog formed and I'd been listening to the album ever since. I researched all about him and the entire grunge music phenomenon.. it's always pretty much been my favorite genre but I didn't know the history. I was addicted to learning everything I could about the Seattle music scene back then..found out about so many other awesome bands that didn't make it to MTV.. Tad, for instance. That group was so badass! Now Temple is talking about touring and maybe even some new music!! I couldn't be happier. Thank you guys. I wish I knew about Mother Love Bone a long time ago, but thanks to the Internet I've been able to learn anyway. Their music was so good, and Andrew's persona was one of a kind.

Chris had a sound mind, but enlightenment historically has only been for the very few...yet that is our divine purpose here, to recognise our eternal nature that's already here, prior to all thoughts. I started to realise this in the last 4-5 years. A childish idea, but I wished Chris were alive and I could tell him this and get him to meditate with me and see that all is well :( I wanted to save him, I just didn't expect him to drop like that :( But nobody dies in the end.....just rain drops falling into the vast infinite ocean of consciousness. No Chris, no me, just God alone exists. But we can shed a tear for Chris....not that I can help it! x

About 6 months ago I was bored and searched for "grunge" on Hulu. I found the VH1 Grunge documentary, which taught me about Andrew Wood. I had no idea. I was 11 when Temple of the Dog formed and I'd been listening to the album ever since. I researched all about him and the entire grunge music phenomenon.. it's always pretty much been my favorite genre but I didn't know the history. I was addicted to learning everything I could about the Seattle music scene back then..found out about so many other awesome bands that didn't make it to MTV.. Tad, for instance. That group was so badass! Now Temple is talking about touring and maybe even some new music!! I couldn't be happier. Thank you guys. I wish I knew about Mother Love Bone a long time ago, but thanks to the Internet I've been able to learn anyway. Their music was so good, and Andrew's persona was one of a kind.
