@MikeHarbaugh-d7n Mike, first of all. Thanks for watching. Really appreciate that. So if fleas, and ticks are a concern, when you get back home and get your critters in the shed. You can put them in a garbage bag and I hit them with a can on Raid that is for bed bugs. That seems to really knock the snot out of the fleas for sure.tie the bag shit and let it stayed sealed for 10-15 mins. Ticks it does so so on them. I run a brush through my fur, and as I find them, I will put them on my fur table and chop em in half with the knife. That's how I deal with them. The ticks that are engulfed in blood, i know them on the floor and step on them. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and the questions!
@michaelmehos8514 Well.....I am not sure if I understand your question. All fur that will be used and put up has to be dispatched. So, after dispatched they will be brought back to the fur shed and put up. That's the start of one of the most renewable resources we have. No synthetic materials, not hurting the environment and in the process, some management of the land was done. One last thing, trappers use a trap that is a foot hold. It's like wearing a set of hand cuffs. Just hold the critter there, until the trapper arrives. At that point, we can let it go, or decide to dispatch it. Hope this was helpful. I do appreciate you watching. Thank you for a respectful question.
Yes and Yes. I set close to the hole on all my dirt holes. Some may disagree but it works really well for me. How i make the dirt holes in this video is how I make them all, with the exception that they are typically more of a step down. I did not get this one as deep as I normally do. They next episode, the next day I had a nice red fox in this set. If you have ever watched the guys at Hoosier Trappers, I make mine the exact way. I hope this helps. I know some trappers disagree but I think it's important for you to find a way that works best for you. I appreciate the question and thank you for watching.
I see your running the NO-BS K-9 JRs. Do you ever have issues with them not firing? I've never ran dogless before, don't know if I'm doing something wrong. I even put a little how was on the patch point like it says on hi s website. Thanks
@coalminer7755 I don't own a ton of the NO-BS, but I have never had any issues with them not firing. The only time I ever had a issue with any trap not firing was with JC Conner Jake traps. Peat got under the pan after getting wet. Those jokers would not fire what so ever. I would give Kirk or Kendall a phone call. There good guys and will definitely try to work your problem out with you.
@williamwaychoff8710 Yes sir, super stakes go on chain. They are a bugger to get out. You need to invest in a good puller if your going to put a bunch of sets out and pull your sets. Cable works very well also. I have used cable every year but this year. First year using chain. The weakest link is the J hook attached to the swivel. That's what gives when pulling. Appreciate you watching buddy, thank you

I’m a city boy so I gotta ask….how do they “harvest” the live fur …..caught in leg holds???

Are you always that tight to dirt hole with trap seems only a couple inches? also your trap seems dead center

So you put your super stake right on your cha8n? Easier to pull stake out?
