The treaty of Waitangi was signed by maori , crown , government as their representative and those who left over ,european etc , for their desendants to live together . At no part am linked to this process .

I respect Shanes skills and knowledge his loyalty and pragmatism is massively underappreciated. I wasnt impressed with the pettyness and shouting over speakers at Waitangi and hope this is settled for the time we have ahead. Im a former NZ first Labour supporter now supporting Te Pati Maori and was really impressed by the grace witt and common sense inteligence of Shane they are lucky to have him as we know Winston on attack is a fiery advocate for pan Maori tribalism. People have forgotten what Winston did in the past to help advance Maori land settlements for Tainui and Tauranga who are in fact runanga driven now with many inequities in iwi and hapu politics. 'Interesting' how few people seem to have been bothered by this rather fundamental flaw.
New Zealanders have become inured to accepting a very low standard from our Fourth Estate ( journalists ).
Also , if you're trying to focus on the questions, it's hard to know whether they're NOT asking the ones that they should be asking - but most likely aren't. Journalists who rise to the top create the narrative and steer attention away from any aspect that seriously undermines or threatens the status quo and holds it to account.
