Had the same problem, first repaired the broken motor from the recirculationflap. (Sound of the air didn’t change while pushing the button and had clicking noise before). Had the hope this would influence the main issue, of course it didn’t. After searching found this video to locate the mixing flap/motor and found the problem. The spocket popped out of the motor, easy fix!! Recalibrate (AC + front vent button) and done! Thanks for the clear video of the location and working of the mixing flap/motor!
Had this same issue. The leftside was still cold but the right (passenger) vents were blowing warm air. Seemed to develop pretty quickly. Temps going from left to right for the front for vents were: 58, 70, 81, 85. The way it seemed so sudden made me think a flapper was broken or something. I scanned and had no faults on the AC system. Tried adding a few oz of R134a, brought the low pressure side from 29 to 35 psi and that fixed it! Pretty happy I dont have to rip anything apart. Now I am like 53-54 degrees F across all 4 vents. Car is like 6 years old so I will continue to monitor, I dont think its a massive leak but maybe a very small one.
I am an old dealer mechanic. We once had a passat 2016 in the workshop where the same problem was present. We thought there was a valve stuck in the valve housing. We’ve tried to calibrate and check all of the valves. I had to take the whole dashboard out to find out. Maybe there was an valve stuck? Nothing found.. the problem was not fixed. It turned out afterwards that the air conditioning system was not filled enough. Strange that cold air comes out on the left and warm air on the right. you would expect that there would be no cold air at all in either grille. make no mistake. Also check first how many grams of refrigerant is in it and whether there are any leaks.
The same here! Just went back from the A/C service, the drained the system and there was about 20% of the expected refrigerant in the system. Car passed the vacuum test for leaks, so they charged the system back with correct amount of refrigerant. And I'm going back there in few weeks to drain it and charge it again just to check how much is missing. If the refrigerant is low, the heat exchanger will not cool down evenly. It will be colder on the input side and the other half will stay warm. That's why the passenger side air is hot.
experienced the similar issue recently, top-up some refrigerant to correct value and so far so good. Aircon system back to cold as previous. Will continue monitor. thanks.
Hello! Do you know if the golf 7 has a Coolant shut off valve (N82 valve)? also called a solenoid valve i believe. or does the diesel models have the thermostatic expansion valve you mentioned instead?
Just went back from the A/C workshop and in my case the refrigerant was missing from the system. Strangely enough my A/C passed the leak test without any problem (30 minutes with vacuum) so they charged the system with proper amount of the refrigerant and I'm planning to go back over there in few weeks to drain it again just to check how much of the refrigerant will be missing.
@@mrfixpl it appeared that my 2017 golf 7.5 has the same issue :( today I discovered it when was driving during the sunny weather. Will try to fill in the system as you did.
Thanks! I am very curious to know how many HVAC flap motors there are? In your video I can see 2. I have problem with one flap, beacuse I constantly get how air on my feet(just the driver side) and not sure of there are more flaps to control. Golf tdi mk6
I have same problem 2013 mk7 climate control. Drivers side comes down to 19oc but passenger side only 26oc I noticed AC low pressure side (cool side) is on same side as drivers side. I tested pressures with gauge set and get 20psi on low side (constantly) and 140psi on high side constantly. I dont have any regassing equipment so can't just top up. My guess is that its low on gas. The small amount of cool gas enters from low pressure into evaporator but quickly is disapated by the air blowing over the evaporator which makes it out of the drivers side vent enough to notice some change in temp but the passenger side ends up with no temp change coz there wasn't enough gas to make it across the other side of the evaporator.
Following up: Took to a guy I found on facebook marketplace yesterday who has regas equipment. There was almost ZERO gas in the system. He did the regas for $135AUD system takes 500grams. Working good (for) now. One thing he showed me was the low pressure pipe in the engine bay wasn't even cold when it should have been.
I have the same problem this winter, right side was cold and left side was warm (when trying to heat up the cabin). It turned out that the radiator distributing heat in the cabin was clogged because of bad cooling water. New radiator and everything worked fine again. Your problem is probably the liquid in the air condition system, it is evaporating overe the years. How old is your Golf 7?
@@mrfixpl hi, what coolant would be the best after removing silikat bag from reservoir, so my intake radiator wont rust. i have g13 right now - after silikat removal it doesnt meet the specs. 2.0tdi 150km ckfc
Nah, there's a really small leak in the system. Not big enough for the pressure to drop over night, but after couple months problem comes back. I believe it's the radiator.
Thank you very much, if the valves are working, we look ahead, where you point out, I have the same problem, what exactly is being done, if you can write to me, I will be very grateful!?
Is there any way to turn off air from the face/dash vents when you have lower feet vents active only? Seems the only way to stop it is to switch the vents themselves off with the dials under them. Sometimes I just want warm air blowing on my feet, it still get air blowing out the top.
If you set air distribution to feet it should blow the air only over there. If not then you can try performing the basic settings procedure and hope that the air distribution flap motor needed it to operate properly.
dear I have installed a dynavin DX-V-3 Pro in my Volkswagen Golf 7, normally it should take over climatcontrol but this one does not work, I see everything but on my screen itself I can not move it, I have the app obd installed but can't find my car via bluetooth
Have the same problem, had new heater matrix fitted, system flushed but still not fixed... Left side blows out warm air and driver (UK) side doesn't really blow out warm air...? VW themselves say it's the matrix
@MR-FIX similar problem as yours, i have a 2016 Golf7 was low with refrigerant had it filled up and after the week they checked and said a small amount leaked. They say it can last all season no problem, but i want to find leak but dealer needs 2-3 days to find the small leak. What exactly did they discover after the week was your issue?
Have you check the messured inlet temp ind control unit 08 climate unit, for the right side plased in the cabbin, air nossel? The temperatur sensor coult be bad. Like wrong messur of inlet temp at 10 degree forses the flap to hot air in sted og Cold air.
Checked all readouts. Also I believe that when set to LOW air flap will always be position for cold air. The issue was in low refrigerant which was not able to cool down whole area of the heat exchanger.
