I am happy that XG is not confined to a specific genre. Xpop perfectly matches them! Their dance skills outweigh those of any female group in JPOP or KPOP. XG is incredibly talented in dancing, singing and acting. These talented Japanese girls exceed the skills of most pop groups today. Congratulations girls, you really deserve to be at the Billboard top, and now the world knows you and will be even more surprised by so much talent. For me this one is like 'art pop' or almost like a number from a musical theater production, with the wild wolf costumes and sci-fi elements. And body horror film. And I mean all of that as a compliment. As far as the 'K-Pop: Yes or No.?" I'll go with calling them "idol pop." (I know they call themselves global pop.). Meaning they're not Korean, but the structure of their group seems to be based on the Korean idol model: They worked in an audition / reality show type process where voting contestants on and off occurred until the final 7 were selected. And there is a producer/CEO in charge, with the members collaborating, but the CEO as the 'showrunner' in a TV series sense.
