@@dionyvuss yeah, it literally is about feeling time going too fast bc of pressure, i know that feeling. While you're working a lot then time feels like it flys, but when you have time alone it feels like time pauses and you remember how fast time goes, then feel lonely but you don't understand why if you have a lot of people by your side. It took me years to understand myself, I figured out that i barely focused on my feelings or anything, my mind was focused on going to school,do all great and just doing things right. I perfectly understand him, which makes me feel bad for him :( I just hope that he has figured it out and this song is about a old feeling.

The part that really hit me was when he was eating alone in the hotel room. It reminds me of when Yoongi said that he feels empty after putting on a show or concert because after the high of a performance, they each go back to their hotel rooms where they're alone. They have fun and everything during it, but after is a different story. Seeing Jungkook eating there alone just kinda made me sad.
I hope even on the road like that, that they still get together afterward, if whoever feels up to being around their friends, but maybe after expending that much energy, hearing all the fans and loud music and feeling the pressure of a live show for 2 hours plus the mic checks & time spent on rehearsals, maybe they all need that down time, quiet to get ready for the next day.
On the flip side, as an introvert who spends all day in front of people talking (I’m a teacher), I crave my silent alone time. He’s so high energy, and he spend all that time in public every day, I can see how it would be so nice to just decompress for a few hours and enjoy being calm and alone.
@@karenwerner3152 True, and even the most extroverted person needs time alone just to breathe and hear their own thoughts, relax. We all need both socialization and alone time and in balance. Also, if JK didn't want to be in a room alone at any time I'm sure there are from 30 to 100 other people they know who are out on any tour with them that they could spend time with. so this is likely time that he has chosen to have to himself.
I have no doubt he's very happy he did, but his song seems to be saying : 'Since I only know THIS path I chose, the path I took, I hope I made the right choices and that I did my life the best way I could have. Being still such a young man, JK has no way to see or realize that he'd still wonder the same kind of things if he had not joined BTS. He'd probably feel like he had lost time he could have been learning and training with BTS, had he waited a few years to audition. He did the scarier, tougher, braver thing deciding to leave home so young but because of that I hope he thinks of how much he is now able to do so much for his family and so many others, because he was brave. If he had been with anyone but the other 6 members of BTS, I might wonder if he lost out on some of his youth like having fun with peers but the other 6 guys, his hyungs, gave him all the brotherhood, friendship and love anyone could ever hope for, so I don't think JK he missed out in that way.
One thing I hope for is that Army let's BTS happily live their own lives. Go on trips, have relationships and friendships without being intruded. Most of us are quite good at knowing our boundaries but I hope we can all learn to respect their personal lives. This album got me thinking of all the pressures, loneliness and insecurities that the boys must have and possibly still experience in the spotlight. They must be so tired... That shot of JK alone just staring out the window at the cityscape just reminded me of how alone he must sometimes feel so let's all show them our love and support in whatever they do 💜💜

How he is after a performance (very tired because he always gives more than 100%). He cares about his members and fans a lot. Even when his leg was seriously injured(like come on man, 3CENTI METERS LONG CUT) he decided to perform while sitting on a chair. He even cried because he couldn't dance with the other hyungs. This song is not just a song, it is a story-telling piece that should be appreciated. People tend to think idols are just performers and all that whereas they are actually more than that. This song is proof that being an idol is not as easy as some people think it is. This is why I say: Jungkook should be proud of his journey, he should be proud of who he is today. No journey is easy, but he made it. Every time he cried backstage for missing a step on stage then end up practising till late, every time he injured himself performing but still carrying on like nothing is wrong...all that effort is seen and as his fans, we really appreciate it. I’m not what you’d call the “typical” BTS fan. I’m a 48 year old single woman with 2 grown daughters; one has the same birth day as JK but birth year as Suga, and my youngest has the same birth month as J-Hope but birth year as Jimin and Taeyhung. Since I was born the same year as JK’s father, I’m literally old enough to be their mother. So, as a fan, my ❤️ for BTS is as a mother has for her child/children. When I watched the 2019 MMA Awards, I realized how much JK has grown, especially during his solo performance. When I first heard “My Time”, it was bittersweet for me b/c I could hear his growth & maturity through his lyrics, and I wasn’t quite ready for that. But when I watched this, I had tears in my eyes. JK has grown so much as a singer, young man, and as a songwriter! Watching him in these clips was a little emotional; I don’t want him to grow up but I’m amazed at his growth and ❤️ what I’m seeing from him as a young man. Thank you for posting this @elisssa! You can see pain and sadness in his eyes. The loneliness, despite having the rest of the members. He can't have what we have: freedom. As much as we work and stay busy, we can always say "stop!" and do other things, we can always say "let's rest" and do what we have to do tomorrow, we can always say "I'm going to meet my friends" without being judged. He can't. Being the same age as Jungkook, I wouldn't like to have his lifestyle. It's lonely up there.
My heart just breaks for Jungkook. To underwent what he did at such a young age. To carry the weight of being a lead vocal, main dancer at such a young age. He had to sacrifice everything. The normal youth he was supposed to grow up as. I hope he finds his time some day.

Maturing is realizing that even tho they love Army’s they gave everything up for their own dreams and ambition and determination and wouldn’t allow anything to stop them from achieving what they set out to achieve. Maturing is understanding that it’s about them and their purpose more than it’s about us.
He chose this life. This was his dream. The dreams of our youth, when realized, become the actuality of our adult lives. He knew there would be costs associated with fame. I don't think he regrets his decision to become an idol. In hindsight, he's reflecting on his lost youth outside of the idol world. They need regular breaks in between comebacks, and need breaks in between concert dates. Kookie will find his balance. With age comes maturity and wisdom.
Sometimes you choose things and get it and realize it’s not what really is gonna make you happy. So I guess this is his way of letting us know he’s human and he realizes his life is going by really fast. And he’s trying to live in between being a young man and a famous person

Bla Blabla Music, performing is his passion. It’s his life. It’s not easy to just leave it. Not while there’s millions of people supporting him, and what about his band mates? They’re at a time in their careers where they’re reflecting. They’ve achieved so much in the past few years. None of them ever believed they’d make it this big, that’s the thing. And I know the boys wouldn’t trade the fame for anything. This has been their dream, but now they want to rewind. It’s called being human. Bts rarely ever talk about how the idol life changed their lives, it’s normal to want some space, especially jungkook who trained and debuted at such a young age, who probably missed out on the experience of growing up, making mistakes, falling in love, he’ll find a balance somewhere in the future. And we all know damn well that BTS, or their fame, won’t last forever. We all went into this knowing that, even the members themselves. But the band, and as well as us fans, are enjoying it to the fullest while it lasts.

BTS do far more than they ever did, have more diverse voices and sound much more interesting and have far more passion in their music than those boygroups ever did. Sorry, just saying it as it is. BTS actually sing songs with real meaning, whereas those 3 you mentioned mostly sang about romance and shit. Also, things are different to how they were back then. I'll still be listening to BTS songs even when they disband, so... Also, I listen to plenty of music of artists who either quit or disbanded from groups or had passed away. I still listen to music that was around even before my time, because I like it and that's what matters. Music has no expiry date and can be enjoyed whenever. Please NEVER compare anyone to BTS, because no one can compare. Thank you.

It's ok,, ( Huggs to you !) I'd bet that he would tell you that he feels sorry that every young person, like yourself, every ARMY, can't experience some of the thrills and joys that his unique life does bring to him. We all usually lose or must give up one thing when we choose another, generally speaking. I think it's so wonderful though, that he is open enough to share these infrequent feelings with everyone so that you & I & all his fans will know that, he too, in spite of the great life he has, he too has challenging feelings to deal with. We all fight negative feelings & humans have a tendency to look at another's life and think their life is so much better, but the truth is some things maybe are better but inevitably some things are worse than our life. Everyone has sadness at times, but I feel like he loves BTS & all the ARMYS so much, & loves singing and dancing as well so he probably never regrets what he decided to do with his life, his song seems to be saying ; I will just feel better about where I'm at when I have a little more control over the fast pace of my life, since we hit it big, when I am able to "finna find my time". I'd say yes, every....single....one of the successful idols feels these things at one time or the other. It's SO tough in ways we can't conceive of (Imagine the muscle pain, all the time, having to practice & or perform no matter how sick you feel from an infection, cold, cramps, headache, sprained elbow, or when you had a down or depressing day,(no one is immune to those feelings). Like if one of your group has a death in the family or their good friends etc.. Just the loss of control over all your minutes and days, the thing of never feeling like you could choose to stay in bed & blow off a day & rest must be very hard because, if a successful, touring idol did take a day off, or a performance off, they''d feel like they'd let down, not only the rest of their group's members, but their agent, manager, label, choreographer, vocal coach, producers, makeup artists, stylists, back up dancers, props department, lighting & sound dept., all of them are depending on you to show up so they can get paid. It's got to be a weighty thing to carry if one was an adult, when they became seriously famous, but these young men (probably most idols do too) started very young to have this much fame, hectic scheduling and fans pulling at their attention constantly, along with striving, working like crazy to get so darned good at ALL they do. It's an insane amount of pressure & even more so when they're touring the world, cause then your body has to fight exhaustion & jet lag. Just going up & down in a pressurized cabin up (to 30,000's feet high plus & down again, once or twice a week & often more than that) is hard on most people's bodies. It easily dehydrates people, and weakness, dizziness, fatigue & nausea can happen from that, altitude sickness (which I had the 1st time I went to Colorado in the high mountains and feels horrible !) hits some people who've never been to higher elevations before. Not to mention time changes can mess with your internal clock and being in sync with the city you land in. (I feel awful for at least 18 - 24 hrs after being up that high in a plane, like, I just want to do nothing for a whole day.) They have schedules that rarely allow them to just breathe for a few minutes, with very high expectations & pressures from without AND within. Managers, agents, recording labels, the public, press, wanting your time. Being nervous about every tiny thing you do or say, afraid you'll mess up in some way & cause everything you've ALL struggled so hard to attain, to one day end. No freedom to go have drinks if you so choose to unwind or celebrate, no ability to go see your family whenever you miss them & just want to visit, when touring or appearing on tv shows, there's a rehearsal, or a show anywhere.. I'm sure it's tough having to miss out on meaningful family events, like your sister having a baby, or being with your sick parent. With it's obvious positive results to their lives, extreme fame has a heck of a lot of negatives too. So sure, they deal with a myriad of feelings, yet few ever just quit, so it must be well worth it to most. As BTS matures more every year, they'll be approaching 30 & I'm sure they'll get to take more control over their own careers, giving themselves more time to really enjoy some of the money they're making now. It's important that they do, in my opinion, because if you put off things today, thinking you'll do them when you are 40, 50 or 60, often by the time you get there you aren't able to do a lot of what you wanted to experience when you were young. Balancing your life so that it's not ALL work is wise for everyone, but especially don't waste every minute of your youth trying to get money or fame, be balanced in all things is usually the wisest course.

Let us not forget, however, that they devote themselves to us to make us happy. (because we keep saying they are loved and we want even more.) These words work like a drug. And this is the driving force behind their further professional creativity. After all, they don't work that hard to be even richer. It's not that type of personality. In their songs and interviews they keep saying that they are very grateful to us and they are who they are thanks to ARMY. I've been a fan for a few months since they announced they were suspending their team activity. This is the most correct decision in this situation. I, too, admire these men, above all for their honesty. They share their passion and talents with us. for which I am very grateful, because their work brings joy and hope that the world will change for the better. However, I would not like them to sacrifice their happiness for me. Gentlemen, slow down, focus on your private life. Because chasing ARMY love is like chasing your own shadow. You are my idols. My wish is for you to be happy. I have the impression that you got lost in all this. to find your way mentally go back to the beginning of your career. In this way, you will find the right path to follow in the future. Anyway, in his album J-Hope perfectly reflected his state of mind. Jungkook's song touched my heart a lot.💜💜💜
My greatest dream is that we hear news like "a member of bts is dating someone" and ARMYs ARE HAPPY. It'll mean that we took a BIG step in the world of kpop since we are the biggest fanbase so we have quite a lot of psychos. Cause this industry is more centered about fans dreaming to own the members instead of admiring their skills and personnalities by the other side. Seriously, it's like an illness. Even my mother and all my family can't control me like that. People don't realize how disturbing it is. It seems like they think that it's all a dream, that it's not reality but if you are human and can't accept some things no matter what, all kpop groups and bts can't accept them as well. Everybody knows that idols have lifes behind the cameras( it's better for their sanity...) As fans, we just have to see them as humans, respect their qualities, respect their flaws, respect their struggle ( and try to help them relax) respect them all and respect ourselves cause this obssession is fucking detoriariting ourselves.
It’s quite sad knowing how they all don’t get much privacy and the thought of missing out on childhood, like you’ll never get that back. But I’m grateful for older bts members raising jungkook. They obviously did a good job because he turned out to be a handsome, well mannered, friendly, hilarious young man.

Not so much “missing out on childhood” because he didn’t start his career until he was a teen but more like at such a young age so many responsibilities was put onto them that they had to mature quickly instead if being able to live even a little bit carelessly as you do in high school and such.

i cant stop rewatching this video that was dedicated for Kookie. every scene was very meaningful. the context of the video shows it all. but what really struck me is when kookie was all sweaty and tired and catching his breath and Namjoon was there, checked on him to see if he is alright. My heart really melted. He is really a good leader but it is more than that, he is a very good hyung. 😭😢❤

JK had went without sleep and rest, and was excited about going to (I think it was Brazil or Chile). Sleep depravation and excessive dance performance eventually caught up with him. You could tell RM was terrified when he saw JK like that! Later that night, all 6 of the hyungs talked about how that scared the crap out of them!
Jungkook has one of the most exquisite voices I've ever heard. This song is so moving. I wonder if he truly knows his value? I hope his family and real friends (and of course the BTS members) love and support him, he has so much pressure at his age. After watching him for the last few years, I really just want him to be happy and feel joy never lonely.

I want all of BTS to know that years later when Army’s have their own children they are gonna look back on their music and think “These are the 7 boys who made me so happy to love and be myself when I was young and I hope they will do the same for you”. I hope that one day I’ll look back on this day and be grateful to not only have BTS but to have Army as well. I'm not an army, I decided to just become like a personal supporter of the boys without being like apart of the fandom ig for my own reasons and this was the first song i really listened to my bts, jungkook. It really makes me sad with all the stuff he had to experience and the lyrics just really hit home. I wish i could give him the biggest hug and just hold him.
This made me cry so sad. TO be honest, the life of an idol can be exciting.. your famous, your rich, you get to explore so many different places.....BUT it comes with a price. Although there are so many people who love you, they still feel lonely, its difficult, tiresome and stressing. They get criticisms from haters and mean comments telling them they are not good enough.. Jungkook had to go through all of this at such a young age of 15. Bighit was a small company, therefore it was even more difficult for BTS to grow and shine. Yet despite all the odds they still managed to overcome these obstacles and stand where they are today. I'm so proud of BTS and I'm proud of myself for being an ARMY.. BTS FIGHTING!! ARMY FIGHTING!! Let's stand with them together!!.. Forever....
Rather than saying he gave up his adolescence or youth let’s say he lived his youth instead by going on his own way following his dreams . Where most of the people are chained by the society and other pressure . And of course living youth like this comes with a price and sacrifice because you are going opposite of the sun . I am an 8th grade student and whenever I stop studying, I listen to BTS and with the energy that BTS gives me, I think of seeing BTS in the future, but I know that if I don't study, I won't have a chance to see BTS, this is just an example for me. Well said. I wonder if it is a choice when you are 12 (did his parent choose this for him?)? You don't know enough about the consequences of your choices when you are under 17 or 18. He probably wonders if the "choice" he made to become an Idol was worth the sacrifices. That is a natural question for an introspective person. But he is living a one in a million life as a result of his "choice" that most of us would NEVER experience in our short life. The part that really hit me was when he was eating alone in the hotel room. It reminds me of when Yoongi said that he feels empty after putting on a show or concert because after the high of a performance, they each go back to their hotel rooms where they're alone. They have fun and everything during it, but after is a different story. Seeing Jungkook eating there alone just kinda made me sad.

I hope even on the road like that, that they still get together afterward, if whoever feels up to being around their friends, but maybe after expending that much energy, hearing all the fans and loud music and feeling the pressure of a live show for 2 hours plus the mic checks & time spent on rehearsals, maybe they all need that down time, quiet to get ready for the next day.

I have no doubt he's very happy he did, but his song seems to be saying : 'Since I only know THIS path I chose, the path I took, I hope I made the right choices and that I did my life the best way I could have. Being still such a young man, JK has no way to see or realize that he'd still wonder the same kind of things if he had not joined BTS. He'd probably feel like he had lost time he could have been learning and training with BTS, had he waited a few years to audition. He did the scarier, tougher, braver thing deciding to leave home so young but because of that I hope he thinks of how much he is now able to do so much for his family and so many others, because he was brave.
If he had been with anyone but the other 6 members of BTS, I might wonder if he lost out on some of his youth like having fun with peers but the other 6 guys, his hyungs, gave him all the brotherhood, friendship and love anyone could ever hope for, so I don't think JK he missed out in that way.

One thing I hope for is that Army let's BTS happily live their own lives. Go on trips, have relationships and friendships without being intruded. Most of us are quite good at knowing our boundaries but I hope we can all learn to respect their personal lives. This album got me thinking of all the pressures, loneliness and insecurities that the boys must have and possibly still experience in the spotlight. They must be so tired... That shot of JK alone just staring out the window at the cityscape just reminded me of how alone he must sometimes feel so let's all show them our love and support in whatever they do 💜💜

This song is not just a song, it is a story-telling piece that should be appreciated. People tend to think idols are just performers and all that whereas they are actually more than that. This song is proof that being an idol is not as easy as some people think it is.
This is why I say: Jungkook should be proud of his journey, he should be proud of who he is today. No journey is easy, but he made it. Every time he cried backstage for missing a step on stage then end up practising till late, every time he injured himself performing but still carrying on like nothing is wrong...all that effort is seen and as his fans, we really appreciate it. We are proud of you Jeon Jungkook, and also the BTS members should also be credited for helping Jungkook be who he is today.
I’m not what you’d call the “typical” BTS fan. I’m a 48 year old single woman with 2 grown daughters; one has the same birth day as JK but birth year as Suga, and my youngest has the same birth month as J-Hope but birth year as Jimin and Taeyhung. Since I was born the same year as JK’s father, I’m literally old enough to be their mother. So, as a fan, my ❤️ for BTS is as a mother has for her child/children.
When I watched the 2019 MMA Awards, I realized how much JK has grown, especially during his solo performance. When I first heard “My Time”, it was bittersweet for me b/c I could hear his growth & maturity through his lyrics, and I wasn’t quite ready for that. But when I watched this, I had tears in my eyes. JK has grown so much as a singer, young man, and as a songwriter! Watching him in these clips was a little emotional; I don’t want him to grow up but I’m amazed at his growth and ❤️ what I’m seeing from him as a young man.

Maturing is understanding that it’s about them and their purpose more than it’s about us.
He chose this life. This was his dream. The dreams of our youth, when realized, become the actuality of our adult lives. He knew there would be costs associated with fame. BTS actually sing songs with real meaning, whereas those 3 you mentioned mostly sang about romance and shit. Also, things are different to how they were back then. I'll still be listening to BTS songs even when they disband, so... Also, I listen to plenty of music of artists who either quit or disbanded from groups or had passed away. I still listen to music that was around even before my time, because I like it and that's what matters. Music has no expiry date and can be enjoyed whenever. I'd say yes, every....single....one of the successful idols feels these things at one time or the other. It's SO tough in ways we can't conceive of (Imagine the muscle pain, all the time, having to practice & or perform no matter how sick you feel from an infection, cold, cramps, headache, sprained elbow, or when you had a down or depressing day,(no one is immune to those feelings). Like if one of your group has a death in the family or their good friends etc.. Just the loss of control over all your minutes and days, the thing of never feeling like you could choose to stay in bed & blow off a day & rest must be very hard because, if a successful, touring idol did take a day off, or a performance off, they''d feel like they'd let down, not only the rest of their group's members, but their agent, manager, label, choreographer, vocal coach, producers, makeup artists, stylists, back up dancers, props department, lighting & sound dept., all of them are depending on you to show up so they can get paid. It's got to be a weighty thing to carry if one was an adult, when they became seriously famous, but these young men (probably most idols do too) started very young to have this much fame, hectic scheduling and fans pulling at their attention constantly, along with striving, working like crazy to get so darned good at ALL they do. It's an insane amount of pressure & even more so when they're touring the world, cause then your body has to fight exhaustion & jet lag. Just going up & down in a pressurized cabin up (to 30,000's feet high plus & down again, once or twice a week & often more than that) is hard on most people's bodies. It easily dehydrates people, and weakness, dizziness, fatigue & nausea can happen from that, altitude sickness (which I had the 1st time I went to Colorado in the high mountains and feels horrible !) hits some people who've never been to higher elevations before. Not to mention time changes can mess with your internal clock and being in sync with the city you land in. (I feel awful for at least 18 - 24 hrs after being up that high in a plane, like, I just want to do nothing for a whole day.)
They have schedules that rarely allow them to just breathe for a few minutes, with very high expectations & pressures from without AND within. Managers, agents, recording labels, the public, press, wanting your time. Being nervous about every tiny thing you do or say, afraid you'll mess up in some way & cause everything you've ALL struggled so hard to attain, to one day end. No freedom to go have drinks if you so choose to unwind or celebrate, no ability to go see your family whenever you miss them & just want to visit, when touring or appearing on tv shows, there's a rehearsal, or a show anywhere.. I'm sure it's tough having to miss out on meaningful family events, like your sister having a baby, or being with your sick parent. With it's obvious positive results to their lives, extreme fame has a heck of a lot of negatives too.
So sure, they deal with a myriad of feelings, yet few ever just quit, so it must be well worth it to most. As BTS matures more every year, they'll be approaching 30 & I'm sure they'll get to take more control over their own careers, giving themselves more time to really enjoy some of the money they're making now. It's important that they do, in my opinion, because if you put off things today, thinking you'll do them when you are 40, 50 or 60, often by the time you get there you aren't able to do a lot of what you wanted to experience when you were young. Balancing your life so that it's not ALL work is wise for everyone, but especially don't waste every minute of your youth trying to get money or fame, be balanced in all things is usually the wisest course.

My greatest dream is that we hear news like "a member of bts is dating someone" and ARMYs ARE HAPPY. It'll mean that we took a BIG step in the world of kpop since we are the biggest fanbase so we have quite a lot of psychos. Cause this industry is more centered about fans dreaming to own the members instead of admiring their skills and personnalities by the other side. Seriously, it's like an illness. Even my mother and all my family can't control me like that. People don't realize how disturbing it is. It seems like they think that it's all a dream, that it's not reality but if you are human and can't accept some things no matter what, all kpop groups and bts can't accept them as well.
Everybody knows that idols have lifes behind the cameras( it's better for their sanity...) As fans, we just have to see them as humans, respect their qualities, respect their flaws, respect their struggle ( and try to help them relax) respect them all and respect ourselves cause this obssession is fucking detoriariting ourselves.

JK had went without sleep and rest, and was excited about going to (I think it was Brazil or Chile). Sleep depravation and excessive dance performance eventually caught up with him. You could tell RM was terrified when he saw JK like that! Later that night, all 6 of the hyungs talked about how that scared the crap out of them!
Jungkook has one of the most exquisite voices I've ever heard. This song is so moving. I wonder if he truly knows his value? I hope his family and real friends (and of course the BTS members) love and support him, he has so much pressure at his age. After watching him for the last few years, I really just want him to be happy and feel joy never lonely.

This made me cry so sad. TO be honest, the life of an idol can be exciting.. your famous, your rich, you get to explore so many different places.....BUT it comes with a price. Although there are so many people who love you, they still feel lonely, its difficult, tiresome and stressing. They get criticisms from haters and mean comments telling them they are not good enough.. Jungkook had to go through all of this at such a young age of 15. Bighit was a small company, therefore it was even more difficult for BTS to grow and shine. Yet despite all the odds they still managed to overcome these obstacles and stand where they are today. Well said. I wonder if it is a choice when you are 12 (did his parent choose this for him?)? You don't know enough about the consequences of your choices when you are under 17 or 18. He probably wonders if the "choice" he made to become an Idol was worth the sacrifices. That is a natural question for an introspective person. But he is living a one in a million life as a result of his "choice" that most of us would NEVER experience in our short life. I think missed opportunity is the worst thing since we only travel this path once. I just don't want JK to become too obsessed in analyzing his decision.
