It's amazing to see all these wildlife within a monument.

So true! Great "zoo", but always better to see them in the wild.

Randy and fam, I was down in Tucson maybe 20 years ago, with the intention of going through the Museum of the Desert, but arrived just as they closed. I had to leave the next morning, but have always wished I could have seen it. Seeing it through someone else's eyes is better than not seeing it at all. Thanks.

Sorry you couldn't make it out there Jim. Worthy stop. Glad you enjoyed my presentation!

Randy, Well, this place is full of surprises - what a great time for the family. Excellent zoo to see the local species (as well as cactus). I liked the close-up of the Road Runner, the first one I ever saw in Mojave desert was making that sound with its tongue (sounds like rubber bands snapping) and I could figure out what it was until he showed himself. Very educational place, and your video is a good ad for them! Julie, Natalie and Shane seemed to enjoy. THANKS FOR SHARING, . . . Mike

Thanks for the kind words, Tim! Neat National Monument in AZ, pretty remote and limited as it pertains to "known" activities. The museum was a developed place, but a neat one to represent the area. Take care!

Actually, just got back yesterday from a trip to South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. Did some great hiking and camping! (Sorry this is in a weird place - I am responding on my phone and not a computer). Can't wait to see the footage and share it with you!

On the way back from Chiricahua I did the Brown Mountain Loop Trail which Is right by the museum and I could see how big it was. I didn't have time to visit but I am glad I got a taste of it from watching this. Very nice!

It's been 3 years, but believe we came up from Organ Pipe and went east at Gila Bend - either I-8 or 238 - and it was right there by the train tracks, Sorry, best I can recall.

Not much to see at the Monument? Notice that you didn't shoot much video. That's a drive from Tucson! Right by Gila bend. I bet i can figure out where you went next.the museum is cool. When we visited last November we enjoyed it. Deciding whether i should take the time too see Sonoran and Ironwood when I go by there in November( im staying in Tucson). As always a great video!

Didn't to a lot of research on with either of these monuments. I knew our time would be limited. Probably some cool trails, but from all I could tell, they were just large areas of preserved land - primarily desert wilderness. Beautiful, but not much in a change of scenery from my limited observation. Many warnings about drug smuggling and potential danger. I just did a two for one with the clips I included from the museum.
