Being a clip from 1990...(clears troat, seems like yesterday) if being written anno 2023 this sketch would end the same with a subtle distinction. Fry & Laurie turned out to be two gay marriage counseling psycho psychiatrists. Would be absolutely fine and funny in the 90's, nowadays it would feel like woke agenda and turning everyone off. Question: Is wokeness creating "homophobia"? Because that would be ironic...(I'll get my coat)
I don't think they are psycho, it is just a satire from which they chickened out in the end. If you ever talk to a psychiatrist, you will know what psychos they are. (Unless you are one of those narcissistic cultlike personalities who are "into" that sort of thing, and likely the group who hates that video.) Also, they will not in a million years be so wordy and investigative. Well, surely they are largely basing it on "psychoanalysis" instead. But this is still a movie/TV and magazine article invention...
