I received my results today and scored 145 overall! I want to thank you teacher Luke for your continued support and useful information! Truly, I had watched your videos for about two weeks without consistency. But ended up doing great. One story I want to share is that the first time I took the test, I got hit by a sudden panic attack. I couldn’t respond to the questions even the easy ones and so didn’t like my performance. Nonetheless, I finished the test and two days later received an email saying my test couldn’t be certified because I looked away from the screen for too long. But they said I can retake the test with no additional cost. On August 15-2022 , I took the test again and scored 145. So for test takers, try doing positive self talk and breathing exercises while taking the test in addition to watching teacher Luke’s videos here. The test is fairly easy. I really learned a lot of practical skills and great suggestions from your videos, so just want to leave this message to say thank you :) I had prepared the exam for about one week. At first I took the practice test and got 100-130, which made me nervous since I need a 125 in total. And then I was even more nervous after I found the school asked for at least 120 in production, which was the part that I was most struggling with. As I started to look for information about how to improve my scores, I found your videos and they were exactly what I needed, with great details about how to improve scores in some certain frustrating question types. I watched your video, took notes and practiced by following your suggestions. My scores kept improving in the practice tests, which gave me more confidence, and also the messages and stories people sharing here were encouraging and helpful :) Thanks for all these great help that made me successfully get the score I need in a short time! I am from Taiwan and sometimes write blogs in Mandarin about studying and applying for schools. I plan to write an article about the Duolingo experience this time and will recommend your videos. Thanks to Teacher Luke, I was able to get a good 140, and the results just came in. (Though my method of learning is some what different) The "talk about a picture" of your series gave me some good examples. I've prepared for around a week. Here are my overall and sub-scores as well. 140(overall) 145 - literacy 140 - comprehension 130 - conversation 130 - production.

Took the test after knowing it exist, I had a day and a half to prepare, practice test was easier, I always get 120. When I took the actual test, It was harder than expected and I wasn’t expecting it to be that hard and I knew I wasn’t ready to take it because of my lack of preparation, lost spirit halfway through the test but still managed to finished it and I just thought to myself, I’ll retake it in a month when I’m mentally ready. I got my test result today. SCORE OF 135. I almost passed out, wasn’t expecting it for sure!! LMAO

@@hmshuvo2332 Hi! Definitely, I have taken the practice test for almost 5 times. In regards to the average score, it was between 90 to 120. Be aware that not all the questions of the real test are included within the practice tests.

Hi @@mo7lolo , I did not have materials as such. I practiced a lot on Duolingo site. Try to use nice vocabulary (need practice) and complex structures. Also try to get score in minimum range; 120-130 or 125-135, if you get 100-130, then you will not be able to predict the score.

Hey Fulya Well, based on your English in your comment, you’ll be fine! 😃 As your test is tomorrow, I think the best thing you can do is simply to relax and get focused-perhaps, read some short English news articles and listen/watch something fun in English to 'switch on' your English brain so to speak. Also, I would suggest taking the practice test at least once before taking the real test, so you can get into the rhythm of the test. Let me know how the test goes. Best of luck!!! 👍

hi teacher luke I have a very important question...I surfed the internet ,but i did'n find useful answer...1. for c-test i have heard that each blanks has a specific grade now my question is if i fill in the blanks incompletely ,i have score for right answers or not ? take for example ,one word has 5 letters and i guess three of this correctly they assign some score for my correct answers or not? 2. for listening if i write many of words that i heard they just reduce score for what i lost or they completely decrease my score?

Hi @@mo7lolo , I did not have materials as such. I practiced a lot on Duolingo site. Try to use nice vocabulary (need practice) and complex structures.
Also try to get score in minimum range; 120-130 or 125-135, if you get 100-130, then you will not be able to predict the score.

Well, based on your English in your comment, you’ll be fine! 😃
As your test is tomorrow, I think the best thing you can do is simply to relax and get focused-perhaps, read some short English news articles and listen/watch something fun in English to 'switch on' your English brain so to speak.
Also, I would suggest taking the practice test at least once before taking the real test, so you can get into the rhythm of the test.

hi teacher luke I have a very important question...I surfed the internet ,but i did'n find useful answer...1. for c-test i have heard that each blanks has a specific grade now my question is if i fill in the blanks incompletely ,i have score for right answers or not ? take for example ,one word has 5 letters and i guess three of this correctly they assign some score for my correct answers or not? 2. for listening if i write many of words that i heard they just reduce score for what i lost or they completely decrease my score?
