Terrific!! There was nothing like this when I was at (the OLD) Juilliard on Claremont, 50+ years ago. I was studying Classical piano and the Jazz Dept. was just getting started. Occasionally, I'd walk by a classroom and I'd hear jazz coming out of it. IIRC, John Mehegan was teaching there, but I didn't really know who he was at the time. Wish I'd studied with him--it would have shortened my jazz learning-curve.
OMG, I am so happy I found this...
Thank you for these vids!!! These cats lay it down!
Good to hear quality composing, playing and musicians!!
So cool sound , great solos improvisation! congratulations Sharel.-
Amazing T-bone solo. All the solos were great, but what a great t-bone solo!!
Great Playing, well dressed, nice mix of Young people, there is hope for Us yet.

that flugel solo is crazzzzzy
Perfect! Pure Life!
Years ago, Julliard did not want jazz taught for credit so Paul Jeffries from Monk's last band headed up a jazz club. They gave a concert that included Eddie Gomez and Steve Marcus (later to play for years with the Buddy Rich Band).
As always, I loved the solos from Dominick Farninacci and Michael Dease!
What a unique sound sharel cassity has
Ben Williams on bass. Killin
Chick on the Sax, nice great solo!
Great
haha I spot James Burton playing trombone. He was my director of Jazz studies at Snow College. He's a great guy and a fantastic musician.
I need sheet music of this
where can i get this sheetmusic--''Touch'' for Piano??
Who is alto player. She had a great solo!
Fabulous! Not unexpected, considering where they came from! These players walk on water, can write their own ticket! Is that Carmen Intorre on drums? Yes! I was right!
Is that Lage Lund on guitar?
I don't see a cello anywhere, do you mean the bass? haha
haha :D
I wanna be that good :(
how can that chicks fingers move that fast?!
Great solo!
Classical etudes ;)?
Sharel cassity
the cello player got some skillz
Is it that much trouble to list the musicians! Thats the least they deserve after giving blood sweat and tears plus lots of tuition money to your school. Shame on you. Get it together!!!
Good saxophone solo concept but bad tone.
Your opinion is wrong
@@adamlord6332 i love the amount of passive agressive in those 4 words
They use to say jackie mcclean sounded flat. That was his sound!
She had a beautiful sound!!
