So many talented, black artists; (musicians) both men and women’s voices that surely did put us in a better place. Now for worse; black talent has been removed from the airwaves. Humanity suffers, as a result.

Joe passed on several years ago but left us with this nice song that he wrote and sung. The Joe Jeffry group was just a simple guitar , bass and drums but they put out a full and upbeat sound. While Joe was African American his sound departed drastically from that of most Motown style artists. This type of music appealed to everyone.

Sometimes I wonder why a song like this becomes so popular and conclude that it's because it somehow touches on the basic need that all of us have to be loved and appreciated. You hear it in the yearning quality of the melody and lyrics and it just resonates with you. Thank you, Joe Jeffrey RIP

I'm 80s baby and around highschool or so I herd this song one time and something about this song really spoke to me. It wasn't like I could Shazam back then. In my 30s working a retail job me and customer were talking about music and I told the person how I've been trying really hard to find a song but I didn't know the lyrics but I knew the melody so I hummed it and right away she knew. And since then I've probably listen to this song over 100 times. It's just something about this song that really is uplifting for me, maybe it's how each different instrument comes in, or the cool lyrics and vocals. I wish I could shake the hands of group and tell them how much I love there song and whenever I get A chance to play this song for other people I do. I wish a popular group would cover it so this song could get the exposure it deserves like how cat power covered sea of love.

This classic never, ever gets old. I too can listen to it 100 times in a row. When that bridge comes in with its funky groove - wow, it's like struttin' & flowing at the same time . Boss tune !!!
