Hello beauties! I hope you’re all doing really well?
Join my family and me this week as we take you on a weekend afternoon trip to the beautiful village of Valbonne, nestled in the French Riviera. During the height of summer, this charming spot gets incredibly busy and is a favourite among tourists and Brits. Valbonne boasts authentic French rustic charm, a laid back atmosphere, is family and dog-friendly, and offers delightful food and drink.
After our Valbonne adventure, I’ll get into Monday motivation with some food shopping, organisation, and exercise to kickstart the week. For me, life is all about balance, and I’m always striving to perfect that.
I adore my home lifestyle, filled with discipline, structure, and routine. It makes special moments, like our evening in Valbonne, even more precious!

I love a getting back to routine at home video. Yes please do videos on your daily routine, struggles, the good, the bad and how you handle it. Warts and all as I say. Hi! I was wondering if you could possibly do a video (or combine parts of the ones you already did) of all the best/secret places along the French Rivera?? I am planning a trip with my family next month and for sure will stop by Valbonne ...I've been watching your videos since the beginning and really love them and the style... it's just really hard to go back to all your vlogs and find the best places you go. I think lots of people would find that very helpful! Maybe a sit down video with top 10 or top 15 must see along the French Rivera and you inserting images/clips in between. I value your opinion and think I would love to see those places.

My Daughter and I never have issues finding a parking space and almost always it’s close to the shop we want. As we drive in, we say inside our heads ‘Visualise, Materialise’. I swear it works Everytime for us 😁

A lovely chilled video Fern….I completely understand your valid concerns regarding big dogs who are not appropriately contained,who could potential be a threat to people and other dogs…I would have / and have done the same. I freeze when out walking and see an unleashed dog left to its own devices…and really have to focus to stay still, and calm and not run away…I witnessed a dog attack on a little girl aged 5 when I was growing up in the 60’s ..we were play mates….her face was savaged… she was hospitalised the horror of that still remains…I know that all dogs are not like that…and I love them in general…..but I have a deep rooted fear nonetheless.
Having a goal to strive towards and achieve is satisfying…I’m yet to get back on track with my exercising routine following surgery…but I will …eventually cos I think about it all the time and know it’s good for me😊 Ryan is a fit gardener lol…and you always look amazing Fern..and so calm and chilled 😎

That's crazy about the dogs! We just had a lady attacked by an off leash pit bull cross in our local park here on the Gold Coast, Australia. He bit her face,she was out walking her dog and people ran to help her. Better to be safe than sorry. There are strict laws here too, dogs can be euthanised for attacking people!
Loving the summer vibe over there. Here its now winter but still 22 degrees celcius!

Hi Fern, my husband and I had lunch at your highly recommended Indian restaurant today. So surprised to see you in Valbonne on today’s vlog. I couldn’t believe it ! I showed my husband, unfortunately he doesn’t speak a word of English.
We enjoyed our meal, the service is impeccable. I tried butter chicken for the first time. I love a good curry, the butter chicken wasn’t spicy enough for me… French people don’t do spicy. I suppose their cuisine is adapted to French taste 👅.

Hi Fern, I love seeing new sites of France, Valbonne looked really nice. You looked fab in the white dress with those new shades. I love the color of the shades. Does France always have the feet on the whole chickens? When you were prepping your chicken dish, I was thinking something is different and then I noticed the feet. I have never seen feet on chickens in the grocery store here in the states, LOL.
It's too bad France lets dogs be carefree. It would bother me too. It's not safe for people or dogs. I'm glad you turned around and stayed safe.

Sorry for your troubles with the dogs on your walk. I have 2 big dogs and 1 small one and I've always kept a fenced in space for them. They've friendly but scary looking for those who aren't used to big dogs. Good fences make good neighbors is my mantra.

Hello from Las Vegas, USA coming in a a hot 42 today! Is Valbonne the village where you took Nicki and Carlo? It looks familiar. Like you, I love and thrive on a very set routine. I get a little rattled when I get out of it, lol. Sometimes I thnk I need to loosen up a little more.

The village we took Nicki & Carlo was called Gourdon. It looks similar but Gourdon is far up in the mountains. ⛰️
I also think the same about loosening up but every time I do, it doesn’t make me any happier. I’m slowly realising there’s nothing wrong with aiming to stick to your routine through life. I also love a challenge! ❤️
That is super scary about the dogs in France. They say never look them straight in the eye, because that is interpreted as a challenge. I prefer your home life vlogs,because the pace is more relaxing, and they are so informative.
