The thing I love about Packy is his attitude. Always having fun out there and trying to enjoy it even when things are going to hell.
More bowlers, especially at the casual or league level, need to just get over themselves and have fun and enjoy it. They will do better in the long run.

It’s been along time since I bowled, but back in my day, at all PBA events, whether regional or tour events,they would drill a small mill hole just above the finger holes and check the hardness under the surface with a durometer. But back in those days, we were soaking Columbia ShureD’s in Toulene to soften them up and baking Yellow Dots to bleed them.
Those 1980 yellow dot “S” series of bleeders were some of the best poly balls ever made.
So the question is, do they still drill the mill holes and check the hardness of every ball thrown in the tournament? If not, this whole storm debacle could’ve been avoided by doing this. But as I said, I don’t know if they do anymore not
They use a durometer these days, basically a weight that sits on top of the ball to measure how much it deforms. They do this at 10 spots around the ball to get an average reading. That said, I think they only spot test some of the balls, not all of them. The reason they'd have the data to ban balls like this is if they've gathered a lot of these bowling balls and tested them.
Good attitude for the bowlers on a difficult pattern. The new song's not my style, but don't let one person's opinion slow ya down. You keep doing you Keven. :)

Here's the part I don't get about the ruling: keeping the balls "USBC Certified". If the balls listed truly are a problem, then what reasoning do they have to ban them from national tournaments, but okay for local tournaments and leagues?
If someone shoots an honor score or series with one of the balls listed, the logical conclusion is that it shouldn't count, right?
If a ball isn't certified for the largest tournaments in the country, why does the governing body still allow it for league play & local tournaments? It makes no sense to me at all.
Probably because since they are all really popular balls storm is about to lose a fuck ton of money doing ball exchanges for everyone
I think it is because at the local level, bowling centers may not have access to durometers to check every bowling ball in use, and perhaps because the percentage of sampled balls that failed might be above USBC tolerance but still relatively low.

Keven. Imo. You should work on the monotone high pitch voice. Dunno if its worked a lot by autotune. Think a more natural sound of the voice would do good. Cause the beat and melody are great. The unnatural high pitch makes it hard to focus on the instruments. Greatings.

Its funny how it was Sean Rash, who bowls for 900 Global now, was crying about the purple hammer urethane, (and theres zero proof it was ever too soft), and look! His company makes 6 ball lines that all fail the hardness tests! He shouldve kept his mouth shut!

* I can still throw the Altered Reality and Trend 2 during leagues and regular tournaments just NOT anything USBC related. I just feel like if they treated these balls this way, they should have did the same thing with the Spectre vs making it illegal all around or better yet you would have thought they made these balls illegal in leagues, Pba and USBC events. It’s a lot going on with bowling and the game is just not the same anymore.

So when are we going to acknowledge the guy running USBC used to be an executive with Brunswick and coincidentally the purple is allowed to remain in national competition when even the 2022 pours test soft but SPI is getting singled out? Answer me that?
The purple hammers are above and within spec and the older purple from Kentucky have proven to decay over time and get softer so they are all produced above the legal limit!
I know plenty of pro shop operators who have bought their own shore-d Durometer tester after the spectre bullshit and tested display balls and beg to differ but ok

Why didn't you (and others bowlers in your entourage) took a firmer stand against the dubious rule the USBC announced regarding the expelled balls? It's illogical that balls are allowed in f.i. league, but not in other events...
