Your videos have really helped me. A few weeks ago my mum asked me to help her to do a light cosmetic touch up of her kitchen. I sent her out to the shops and by the time she returned I'd demolished the entire street. It definitely needed doing, one of her wall-mounted pictures wasn't hanging level.

@@homemadehome5575 Haha! Kidding aside, I do love your videos, and that perfectionist streak that drives you to do every job properly, even if it means a tonne of extra work. It is comical though, we all know it's coming, and I think by now you do too.

I think I've said this on every project..."not going to tear into this too much, just update here and there" Ten minutes later - OK so I've stripped everything to the studs...

When it comes to older houses you think your not going to tear into it to much but you start running into issue and you sadly have to tear into them to fix the issues.

With older houses no project I have ever done has not always gotten bigger right after I start tearing into it and find bad old work or other issues that were hidden just behind the sheet rock.

I really enjoy watching you work and how you go about repairing porches, removing dry wall, etc. I am 69 and isolating during COVID, so this is really fun to watch. I used to enjoy watching my menfolk doing repairs and carpentry. I have done interior painting and refinished furniture, but this takes me back to when i lived near relatives who were handy and knew how to do stuff like this. You really know what you are doing. I'm not interested in refurbishing houses, or anything like that. I just like watching people be creative like this. I love the little house too. Keep on truckin' man.

Only 40 seconds in but YES get rid of that tree ASAP if it's a concern. I tried telling our housing management (in a rental) about the dead tree in the backyard being an imminent hazard and they wouldn't listen. A few years later it fell on top of our house during a storm. Thank goodness it didn't break all the way through and we were safe but it caused so much damage to the house. Not to mention it leaked into the house and caused floor damage too from the rain. So definitely better to just pay up front to get rid of the tree than risk ruining your house and safety.

I was watching you demo the drywall and insulation. I do alot of residential demo. If you want to make things easier on yourself you should buy some 55 gallon fiber drums. You can throw the drywall and insulation in the drum as you go. Then drag the drum outside to your truck. You were shoveling debris out of your way for room to continue demoing the drywall. If you were drumming it up as you went you would not have to handle the same material several times. At work we say, never handle it more than once.

Also, isn't weight an issue with tiny homes and having a vehicle capable of pulling them?
