We've used beet juice powder for years. When my husband had colon cancer that spread to his liver, I juiced 1 large beet, 2 apples and 3 carrots (ratio wise, I usually doubled or tripled). He drank a pint per day. His oncologist was always excited over his blood work. Given 1 yr, lived 3.3 years. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer from the beginning. I believe his nutritional intake made a lot of difference.
Probably the fresh enzymes are one of the biggest benefits, as well as what we usually think of as far as nutrition. Sorry for your loss, glad you had extra time together and doing positive, happy things like enjoying those foods. Hope you both know the Lord Jesus !
As far as I know/ heard SUGAR FEEDS CANCER SELLS. My sister passed at only 40 from ovarian -colon cancer that spread throughout her body to the point where she could no longer receive any solids, her intestines were almost shut close. One day she told me “you have no idea how much I wish I could eat that 🍉” so I told her I’ll juice it up for you. She would only drink fruit juice and Pediasure. I feel so horrible but I didn’t now better. Sorry for your loss
I love beets and I was recently told my blood pressure is creeping up. Someone told me beet juice is good for high blood pressure. Thanks for the information and thanks to the community members for all the good ideas.
I started weening myself off from lisinopril from daily to every 2days then 3days several months ago. And I started drinking a shot of beetroot, lemon, ginger w/Maca in between which was 1-2X’s a week. I have my work & life stresses, but my pressure has been 116-118/ 86. Of course my doctor doesn’t like what I’ve done, because they want to keep us medicated. Years ago, not knowing much about hypertension, I listened to my doctor and relied on his direction, until I started researching.
I thinly slice 2 beetroots. Add lots of water and 1 heaped mustard powder, black salt ,little cayenne pepper. Let it ferment and you have a lovely probiotic drink
I have really disliked beets all my life. They taste like dirt me. I am 73. I ordered beets from Azure Standard to make beet powder with. They were huge and actually tasted okay. Very sweet. I was grating them onto salad every night and I enjoyed them !. I was shocked. I dehydrated most of them and now I have beet powder to add to smoothies. Thank you for this video.
Thank you Heidi! Years ago when most were touting kale as a superfood (and it is) I was standing in front of a poster in my chiro's office that showed all the benefits of beets. It was pretty mind-blowing! They're way more nutrient dense than kale! ☺️ Blessings always! 💜
Good, I don't like kale - except somehow a cousin's wife made a tasty kale salad last yr - but love beet greens and swiss chard. Turns out spinach really is a lot higher yet in things like Iron, which I need a lot of in my diet ( and I do eat a lot of healthy red meats, grass fed beef and wild venison), but I just rarely have a successful time growing much of that and really like the others better.
I add beet root powder to my water kefir with a little bit more sugar and some sliced ginger. It works great and gets very fizzy. I drink about 16 oz a day, 8 in the morning and 8 before dinner. Thanks for the other benefits and ways to use it. I haven’t had any luck growing it. I get great leaves but no bulging roots. Take care.
I dehydrate in cubes and make a beet soup. Also powder and add to bone broth for an instant soup for lunches. Thanks for all your informative videos. God Bless!
Oh wow, this is great to know, thank you for sharing!! I get the worst migraines whenever the weather changes or we get rain (in fact, nursing a migraine today). I will definitely try this.

God IS Good, ALL The Time. I just bought some beet root powder and I'm online looking to find out how to use it... and I found your video. I subscribed.😊
What a great idea to use the beet powder for a natural coloring! I paint and I'm going to try to paint with beet powder. I made a beautiful pigment with butterfly pea flower. You have a beautiful blender! I didn't get to plant my beets this year. Its a new garden and I'm still putting in raised beds. Some aren't even filled yet. I was blessed and was able to score compost from an old mushroom farm! I'm so happy about that. I'm already planning the garden for next year. I did get some beautiful potatoes grown from store bought potatoes that got away from me and sprouted eyes. I had two bags of potatoes that I had put in one of our colder rooms over the winter and forgot about them. I have to say that this method has done the best for me for growing potatoes👏😂
I just put a long row of beets in my hoop house. The hoop house really makes summer easier as I can spread out my preservation methods and not be stressed out by too many things being ready at once. And, of course, extending the growing season here in winter wonderland NY. I make a beet relish (Ball Blue Book recipe) that I like on salad. I have dehydrated beets and the powder is lovely! But, I didn't really know what to do with it. I put it in my yogurt for a while, then it got pushed to the back and I forgot about it. My pantry is the coolest spot, so often around the Fourth of July I'm doing inventory/cleaning. I threw out the little jar of beet powder, but now I'll make more since you provided me with more uses! I would have never thought of putting it in juice, and I, too, have a cider press and make grape juice. Well, this year the May 18 frost really hit the grapes, but fortunately I have 5-6 quarts from last year. I have two apples on our orchard trees, including the hedgerow apples out in the pastures. Pretty sad what one cold night in May did. But, it's NY, and somewhere, there will be apples! Thanks Heidi!

Yes!! Beet root powder and beets in all form are a real super food! However, not only the root is good for you... You can also eat the leaves, either fresh in salads or dehydrate them too and make into a powder that you can add to smoothies etc. I've been getting my daughter hooked on vegetable smoothies, since she hates nearly ALL vegetables with a passion. She's been this way since she was a kid and she's 41 now so... She's also trying to loose weight and the veggie smoothies are really giving her a energy/vitamin/nutrition boost, as well as helping her not feel hungry. It's a Win Win situation! 👍
I'm so glad you did a video on this! I LOVE beets!! I forced myself to start eating beets about 18 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child, but for some reason then I thought you could ONLY eat canned cooked beets. I'm not a big fan of canned beets, and it wasn't until about 7 or so years ago that I started eating raw ones. The golden ones are sweet for sure, but I'm particularly fond of the the regular red beets. They truly have the most beautiful magenta color! I love eating them just like carrot sticks. SUPER tasty, and the juice (and I'm sure dried powdered beets) give most foods such a pretty color. I love using them (and/or rainbow radishes) to turn my pickled eggs pink. I'm sure some people are going to freak out that I don't cook them (I don't cook corn either! Especially if I grow it myself), but I'm 40 and have learned that not only are most veggies much tastier raw but significantly more healthy and more filling raw. I love when I find the good organic ones with long leaves still on them. And I never really considered the health benefits of them, but I definitely feel much healthier when I eat them regularly. I particularly find it amusing that some people do freak out over eating root veggies raw strictly for the fact that eating carrots raw was once considered a very abnormal thing and that "only horses" could eat raw carrots (just as once upon a time in US history, oats were strictly a livestock food and people never ate them, but now we know they are very healthy for us).
Loved the way you threw in horse stuff! LOL! Actually though, not all horses like carrots. One of my older horses that has passed loved carrots but would not eat apples, which was handy when they were falling off the trees in fall. Too many apples from dropped ones can make horses (and cows) sick. Right now I have a Standardbred that hates carrots but loves apples. Interesting tidbit: I have never, in 50+ years of horses, had an animal that doesn't like licorice. I even bite off tiny pieces and give them to the dogs. I buy it at Tractor Supply, the kind from Australia, and aside from being a sweet treat we all like, I have used it when I have a scratchy throat. It has a slight numbing affect (or effect, I can never remember which is correct!)
I add beet root powder to my chia seeds soaked in water overnight. I add other powders such as bee pollen, moringa powder, neem powder and psyllium husk powder as well.
My order just came in of beetroot powder and i suffer from high blood pressure/ hypertension ect so i decided to make an 8oz mixed with 1 teaspoon and immediately after drinking i felt soo relaxed like i could take a nap forever. Making me another cup later on with sum honey and ginger.🥰❤️
In our Eastern European culture we LOVE beets!! Only when I came to American I realized how much American culture and people don’t like beets 😬🙈 thanks for bringing up all the benefits of beets!!
Thank you Heidi, for all your efforts and information. I’m a fairly new prescriber and appreciate learning from you and all the remedies. God bless you richly ❤
Was told that I had high cholesterol. Ate raw beets ( like eating a apple) and Dr., said I didn’t need the medication anymore and whatever i was doing to keep on doing it. The ONLY change I did was eating raw beets
My friends got me to try beet root powder because our bodies won't overdose too much iron. I get cramps when I take iron pills. Thanks for making this video
Many, Many Thxs Heidi for this very Informative/Helpful video! I have been having some health challenges and have been having beet root powder w/and w/o ACV up to 2x a day and sometimes w/psyllium. That w/two hawthorn berry caps makes a big dif in blood pressure reading. Because the effect of the nitric oxide in the beet root powder last only @ 12 hrs this mixture has to be taken two x a day. ……..Even so, I love beets and eat them many ways including the tops and in soups. Since finding beets help the heart and more I decided to try out a product called Cardio Miracle and it has beet root powder and a plethora of other healthy ingredients in it! Cardio Miracle is pricey but taking it only now. I take it 2x’s a day and it really keeps BP stable and much lower! This also keeps me off prescription drugs much to my cardiologist surprise. Also, I Keep a blood pressure log and take my BP 2-3 times a day! Will take the pure beet root powder mixture now if I run out of Cardio Miracle or it is not available because of unforeseen events! Always good to have a plan A,B and even C! Blessings to you! 🙏🏼❤️
Thanks Heidi- always LOVE your videos- very informative & educations- much appreciation. So, we use beet powder to make pickled eggs! We eat ALOT of beets, but when making pickled eggs if we haven't eaten any in the previous day or so we use the beet powder. Works out perfectly. Loved the idea of using lemonade or juice with it for a daily mix. TY TY TY😍
Beet root powder might be good in a jello with fruit or veggies in it. I make jello with carrots celery and shredded beets and pineapple and walnuts in it but you could add the powder instead.
I take my Anthony’s beat powder and mix it with frozen bananas and a little cream and milk and it is absolutely delicious. Makes great ice cream you can add Greek yogurt and with it too and it’s delicious with frozen bananas. Yum Yum makes the best ice cream.😋😋😋
Hi 👋 I am new to your channel and I am loving and learning so much from you! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and your experience with me!, Ginger
Am from Pakistan. I love beetroot juice since i heard of its benefits for men ED. In last days i fell sick of some infections, my wife said i told u not use that beetroot juice every.......i said dear its not because of beetroots.....its viral infection that caught me.....anyway when i grained and makw powder of it, using 1ts in glass of water, she was amqzed to see its reaults. Well i dont blame her because she did not know beetroot benefist..... Thx for ur vidoe. Javed from Pakistan
Great idea to put it into an organic juice. It does look absolutely delicious.. and all those benefits are fantastic but I will say that if one thing that we have to do every single day and I'm sure there's more than one thing I've been a nurse, a holistic nurse, but worked in intensive care units and traveled for 27 years, don't know how I worked in the secure system basically trying to train people how to do things holistically and stay out of a hospital, but the inflammation - people have no idea how the inflammatory process causes everything from heart attacks to cancer. In our sick care system it will tell them all these other different reasons but the truth of the matter is it's more likely due to inflammation caused by poor nutrition or stress, etc.. and as far as liver health - we better be detoxifying our liver daily, and I'm not talking about a major liver talks that people do they can actually make them sick. I'm talking about a daily natural liver detox. We have to do it because of the environmental things that are going on in the air that we're breathing, the processed foods and things that people eat ( personally I don't touch processed food)! and of course there's other issues that affect our liver health. For example, if there's gallbladder issues bile duct issues, it all affects the liver and there's many diseases obviously that affect the liver besides liver disease so I daily natural organic high in nutrition, drink, tincture whatever to detox the liver daily in a healthy way is the way to go. Thanks for the video and educating others that may not know and even teaching me some things. I really appreciate it. I always want to learn. I'm like a sponge when it comes to that and then educate people and of course what they do with that information is up to them.. trying to be responsible and get people to do the right thing I have found over most of my life and I'm 63 that they're gonna be non-compliant or they're not gonna do it they're not gonna do it and why compromise my mental and physical health because of it. learn the very very hard way to my own life where the seed is planted. Yes, I can nurture in water it, but when it comes to others, we plant the seed and they are responsible. I am looking forward to what your take is on the beet root from aszure Standard, because my Anthony's powder which is wonderful I love it is not quite halfway down the bag yet, but I wanted to purchase some more and if you like the other better I'm willing to give it a try. Blessings from Kathleen in Florida 🤠🌴🦋💕🙏⚔️🇺🇸
I did put a screen shot in the video where I added text about the Azure standard beet root powder as I was talking about it as it came in right after shooting the video but before editing
Don't forget the greens. Their nutritional benefits are great. They can be eaten raw in salads or cooked like spinach. I harvest mine and dehydrate them for later use. They can also be mixed with any other kind of dehydrated greens for a green powder to add to foods or smoothies.
Yep, when I grow them, I use the greens too. I have made kvass using both the beets and greens and I believe I showed a photo of that and I also dehydrate them and put them in my mixed greens blend: th-cam.com/video/w2oeewjIKsQ/w-d-xo.html
Hello! This is a God send! I've been hearing about the benefits of beet juice and looked into it and WOW, the cost, so I put on the back burner; I've watched your channel before, but it's been a while; so I saved it until now, so I would have time to look at it! Thank you for all the information and I will get the beet juice powder and do it! Thank you and God Bless you and your family!
Thank you Heid! I am allergic to. FDA red #3 and #40, even in small amounts. Brhank youbfirvthw information of using beet powder for red coloration. I have never tried red velvet cake due to the dyes. Does not matter if topical or internal. Greatly appreciate the wealth of knowledge that you share with us.
Very helpful. I've been trying to grow beets for the fall and it's not working out to well so far. So I went to my azure standard order and added the powdered beets to it. I make my own powdered vegetable pills and this would be a great addition.
I am experimenting with those white and golden beets. I've sliced them into thicker slices and dehydrated them. I'm going to see if I can make kvass with them, after having been dehydrated. I understand it can get bitter when using shredded/dehydrated beets, so we'll see how this turns out. I'm hitting the farmers markets hard, getting fresh produce that I can't grow, and then dehydrating as much as possible.

That does not sound weird, I am always adding crazy stuff to my coffee. I have a spice blend I make that gets added a lot this time of year and sometimes I toss in chunks of dried Turkey Tail mushroom we forage from our second piece of property
@@joycebegnaud9645 I frequently find organic products there amazingly. I collect honey from around the world now because of their verity. You wouldn't believe how different Australian honey is. Greece also is different. Different flowers too. I need to get by there today 😀
I was wondering when you dehydrate beets to powder for this do you dehydrate them peeled and raw? I just harvested our beets and I have 4 cases canned on the shelves so this would be a fantastic way for me to use the fresh ones! Thanks for all your information you share!
I see you had a bag of black pepper there. I usually by whole peppercorn and roast them like popcorn in a frying pan. When done, I grind them up for use. It heightens the flavor.

Oh my Heidi. Did the forces that be, change their policy from last week? I hope so. Anyway, I've made the kvass with white and another batch with golden, beets. The flavor is amazing - so much better than just red beets. I know that about the only thing these colors are lacking is the lesser amount of betacyanin. That's OK, I can still boost that by eating the red beets. It's just less messy eating the red beets, than it is splashing beet juice all over the place 🙂
Which policy are you referring to? We can still talk about health related topics, there are only certain ones that are banned but remember that videos like this are typically shot 3-6 weeks prior to them publishing. One thing about red beets is they are going to be much higher in antioxidants due to their strong color. This is found all through your produce and includes blueberries, blackberries, and so on

By the way I forget to mention I got my beetroot powder on eBay from seller Maturosfinespices
Purchased Anthony’s beat root power had no idea what to use it for … than you explained everything…🙏🏼 thanks
Thank you for this post. I have more beets to harvest. Going to freeze dry them and vitamix them. Score!
Thank you Heidi for the information on the benefits. As always you’re such a wonderful source of information!😊
In our Eastern European culture we LOVE beets!! Only when I came to American I realized how much American culture and people don’t like beets 😬🙈 thanks for bringing up all the benefits of beets!!
I do not know that many that do not like beets. Even as a kid I liked beets
Thank you Heidi, for all your efforts and information. I’m a fairly new prescriber and appreciate learning from you and all the remedies. God bless you richly ❤
That color burgundy looks really nice on you.
I add fresh beets to my fire cider. It makes it a beautiful color.
Oh, wonderful. I will eat 3:16 beet root more ofte. I will try powder. Thank you Heidi. Have a great weekend ❤😊❤
Was told that I had high cholesterol. Ate raw beets ( like eating a apple) and Dr., said I didn’t need the medication anymore and whatever i was doing to keep on doing it. The ONLY change I did was eating raw beets
I’m still in shock as of why…! I didn’t like them as a child, I love Beet!🥰
@@KellyDonovan-gv6vo I’m feeling Great! 👋🏼😊
My friends got me to try beet root powder because our bodies won't overdose too much iron. I get cramps when I take iron pills. Thanks for making this video
Never thought of drying and processing beets this way. Thanks
Thank you! I just put some beet powder in my rosemary mullein tea. 😋. Tastes good!

OOOH yes it would be good! At least the juice of it. Now I have to try your jello recipe! That sounds incredible!
@smarttraveler8232 that sounds delicious!
so, I can dehydrate a bunch of beets, grind it to a powder and have my own home grown beet powder. Great method to preserve them.
I should use mine a lot more! I bought it to color pudding, stir in orange oil and beet powder and there it is: blood orange pudding😁
Hi 👋 I am new to your channel and I am loving and learning so much from you! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and your experience with me!, Ginger
I dehydrated and powdered a bunch this year.
Excellent video. I dried and ground a lot of beets and am looking forward to trying your recipe. Have a great weekend. 😊
Beets with ginger is great as a secondary ferment in kombucha.
Am from Pakistan. I love beetroot juice since i heard of its benefits for men ED. Well i dont blame her because she did not know beetroot benefist.....
Thx for ur vidoe.
Javed from Pakistan
Great idea to put it into an organic juice. It does look absolutely delicious.. and all those benefits are fantastic but I will say that if one thing that we have to do every single day and I'm sure there's more than one thing I've been a nurse, a holistic nurse, but worked in intensive care units and traveled for 27 years, don't know how I worked in the secure system basically trying to train people how to do things holistically and stay out of a hospital,
but the inflammation - people have no idea how the inflammatory process causes everything from heart attacks to cancer.
What do you use to detox your liver daily? TIA

I've was doin the powder for a few months until my beets grew in garden. Everyday I eat or drink a beet
I just made gummies from beet root powder and hibiscus for hubby just 2 days ago. ❤

I love to just keep beet chunks in my fridge and eat some whenever I am in the fridge!
I need to dehydrate my beets today!!! I'm also craving kvass now😂
It's so pretty and very interesting but I am violently allergic to beets unfortunately.
Great video, I just ordered 1lb from Azure, can't wait to try it out, God bless!!
My dehydrated beets are awesome. They maintain their sweetness. I haven't tried Kvass with it. I really hope it works that way!
Get pitcher/ jug of water and cut up whole lemon to make lemon water. Add your beet powder and stir it up. Delicious
Toast up some sourdough bread pour a whisper of olive oil over it stack the avocado high then sprinkle bagel seasoning over that. Sourdough is a fermented bread. Sourdough bread has some health for the gut. Fermented products are good for healthy gut
If you drink turmeric and water toss in a splash of ACV

Silk dark chocolate almond milk banana peanut butter cinnamon honey whey protein powder beet root walnuts powder blended up. Yum😁
I add it fresh to nettle tea and dandelion root for liver cleanse....
I enjoy beet supplement!
I think some grated Ginger would be really good in that.
Great ideas on using beets, would be interesting to dehydrate the yellow beets
I put half a teaspoon in my morning coffee along with cocoa powder and reiishi mushroom powder. Sounds weird but tastes good.
That does not sound weird, I am always adding crazy stuff to my coffee. I have a spice blend I make that gets added a lot this time of year and sometimes I toss in chunks of dried Turkey Tail mushroom we forage from our second piece of property

I never thought of that, I have got some nice healthy stuff in the past from there. But I haven’t been there in awhile. Thanks for reminding me 😂
@@joycebegnaud9645 I frequently find organic products there amazingly. I collect honey from around the world now because of their verity. You wouldn't believe how different Australian honey is. Greece also is different. Different flowers too. I need to get by there today 😀
Thank you, Heidi.
I was wondering when you dehydrate beets to powder for this do you dehydrate them peeled and raw? I just harvested our beets and I have 4 cases canned on the shelves so this would be a fantastic way for me to use the fresh ones! Thanks for all your information you share!
I do not always even peel them but yes, I dry them raw
I see you had a bag of black pepper there. I usually by whole peppercorn and roast them like popcorn in a frying pan. When done, I grind them up for use. It heightens the flavor.
That is cool, because I have plenty enough on my plate, especially right now, I will continue to keep it simple
Which is better: the juice powder or the beet root ? Thank you LOVE YOUR HELPFUL VIDEOS 💕
For flavor and color the juice powder, for nutrients the beet root powder.
Do the beets come from the US?
If I use powder for capsules will I reap the same benefits?
I love your shows and I’m not bragging but I have four drops around me no more than 10 miles apart good luck

Thank you!
This is found all through your produce and includes blueberries, blackberries, and so on
I thought it was any health anything that they were putting the hammer down on. I'm glad to see that is not the case.@@RainCountryHomestead
Thanks for the info. Gonna try it with the apple juice. You look absolutely beautiful.
