There is something in Iranian culture known as GHAHR, meaning ignoring someone as if that person does not even exist. This is often done among family or friends. It is a very hard experience for the person who is being ignored! Iranian public seems to be in GHAHR with Islam and this would be extremely hard and dangerous for the ruling Islamic government.
