I love how it starts out so hopeless but then it gets its shit togheter and sounds motivating
"Look- if we keep our heads together, we can get through this..!"
"...Everybody grab a weapon. I have a feeling this isn't going to be easy."
Perfectly conveys the whole situation. At first they feel hopeless and quite literally “left for dead” then they realize they’re strength in numbers and if they work together they might have a shot of getting out alive.
"HEY COME BACK WE'RE STILL HERE!"
"HEY COME BACK!"
"COME BACK! COME BA-aww he aint comin' back."
You know, Coach’s captions are inaccurate to what he actually says. Just an interesting fact that Valve overlooked.
Nick: HEY, LOUD GIRL, HAYSEED, TONS OF FUN, THIS CITY IS ON FIRE, GRAB A WEAPON AND LETS GET THE HECK OUTTA HERE
"HEY COME BACK COME BACK AWWW he ain't comin back"
"It looks like that choppers heading to the evac center at the mall"
"Gotta agree let's follow them to the mall"
"I work for the news and the news says we should get some weapons"
Joeys pediatrician Please keep your weight in shape grab something, I'm having a feeling this isn't gonna be easy
nick:ok one stop calling it a whirlybird it's a helicopter two I don't like being in buildings that are on fire.
1:21 first time I played the game, as soon as I stood on top of those machines on the roof and looked out into the world I was about to face, this music began
That has to be one of the best gaming experience you've ever experienced. If that were to happen to me it certainly would be one of the best lol
I like the sense of betrayal that this portrays which is perfect for the campaign.
I still love how Dead Center plays after The Sacrifice's outro. It's symbolizing that one's current journey ends yet another one starts.
Should L4D3 be a real thing in the far future, I really wish we get to see, at least as cameos, the survivors we all know and love.
@@IllIIIIllIIllll - but we can consider it as such given almost all new players start with Dead Center.
*LOUD ASS CHOPPER SOUND*
AYEEE COME BACK
Coach:AHHH HE AIN'T COMING BACK
whenever I start dead center I have muscle memory to just click the mute all sound button on my keyboard cause of that chopper
Im Surprised that the Chopper did not attract zombies to the top floor.
@@UntalentedBrick maybe didnt attract zombies to the top floor but did attract zombies to the hotel
"CLEAN HANDS SAVE LIVES"
Coach yelling to the helicopter is basically every kid yelling at their parent to come back but they already zoomed off for work.
*The theme of realizing you're going to have to rescue yourself*
Seriously, the slow, ominous music makes for the best kick-off of a harrowing journey of you and a couple of strangers to safety all the way in New Orleans
this music hits differently without the earrape helicopter rotors drowning out all other sounds.
i always get goosebumps at the point where the drums start. so epic :D
Experiencing Dead Center for the first time was an experience I wish I could do again.
the best theme of left 4 dead 2
Like the parish n hard rain better, but it's a great opening for the first campaign
The end bit is the best
*music of art in 2009 with gaming history.*
I love how there's signs everywhere posted saying "no civilians allowed to possess firearms" yet every sign is ridden with bullet holes...
I really love this music...keeps running in my head all the time....
this theme is really the way because
1) there really is no "mall" kind of music
2) this is the first campaign (technically) in the game, as it each of the characters meets each other for the first time, introducing the characters and the SETTING to the player. since it's set in the south banjoes are pretty damn reasonable
I'm lucky to say that this was the first campaign that I played in when it was the *almost* midnight release... and also, this is my first L4D game. Not that there was a lot... eh
But it was awesome... used an axe as the first weapon and kicked ass. The music's memorable too. Oh, here it is.
That guitar part makes me sad :( 0:16
When the shopping malls is closed during quarantine days
The comments are fucked
On a more relevant note, Rochelle is dual-wielding a chainsaw and a machete. Why can't we do that in-game if it's on the title picture for the campaign?
My Favorite character was Beta Rochelle because they didnt cut her personality
Ellis: goddamn whirlybird left without us
Nick: ok, 1: don't call that a whirly bird, it's an helicopter
And 2: I don't like been in buildings were on fire
however stated in commentary mode in the firstgame, the developers wanted the music to be something you DID NOT want to turn off; being ambience explaining the setting.
banjo=south.I find this theme totally suitable...
OMG this song is so beautiful. Damn... why it's so short...?!
Volume: 70%
Headphones: ON
Dead Center Intro: Check
Ears: *DEAD*
Yep, it's gaming time.
2022
and l4d2 is still popular
ever since 2009
we still dont have L4D3
Anyone still playing this in 2024?
I love how there's signs everywhere posted saying "no civilians allowed to possess firearms" yet every sign is bullet hole ridden...
"Hey! Get back here! There's still someone on the roof!"
"There ARE three other people here, you know."
"Oh good, you can count. I bet they'll come back now."
El mejor de todos!👌
#Left4DeadForever💚
'not a flu' *Well this didnt age well*
Great theme for the beggining of the game
"Ya'll better grab a weapon. Better to have one and not need it than need it and not have it."
1:23 Nahh, The Eerie resemblance to "The Sacrifice" is crazy !!
When their story ended, and the og survivors are just awaiting what their fate would be..
The Other Survivors' story begins, Cool.
Memories last forever ❤️❤️❤️
Prices Aren't The Only Things Getting Slashed.
Yeah, I agree. I was just replying to the "No mall like music" I love this creepy southern/bluegrass
The heat isn't the only thing killing that's outside.
If i'm in a Zombie apocalypse that i will use in a guitar.
I hear this theme when I'm on the top of a burning building.
@OCCASIONGAMER no the Specials don't appear until the Virus changes it's form. (just from I think) because If you remember, Bill and the other 3 original survivors find goo that bill realizes that their changing.
best part: 1:23
God damn whirlybird left without us
The 1 disliker must be Francis
"Prices Aren't the Only Things Getting Slashed"
*when you left alone in the middle of Savannah*
Prices aren't the only thing getting slashed
Dear Lord let the food court be okay.
*Nick:* HEY, GET BACK HERE!!!
*Rochelle:* COME BACK!!!
*Coach:* HEY!!! COME BACK!!! *COME BACK!!!* Aww, he ain't comin' back!
*Ellis:* That chopper looks like it's headin' to evac center over at the mall!
*Nick:* Good enough for me. Grab a weapon and let's go.
Our cities right now during coronavirus lockdown.
@Silvervest I just thought of it when the military abandon you at the hotel as all the other evacuation centers (the mall) are overrun.
Increible!!!!
docter: you have 2 minutes to live
me:
Nick:everyone grab a weapon and lets get the hell out if here ellis:i aint goin down unarmed nick :holy shit what are these things
i'm more scared at the zombies pretending to be mannequins than running zombies
Coach: Come back! COME BACK... aww he ain't comin' back.
That loud-ass helicopter tho
"Not a flu"
@xxxBTNHxxx Well, it's kinda hard to get a sort of 'Shopping Center' feel. it does play random music- but so random its hard to get the right feel.
I think Valve wanted to put a southern theme to it.
Whirly bird left without us
Nick : If the world's goin' to he'll, I'm taking a weapon
"What the hell is that chopper doin'?"
EPIC IT REMEMBRE MY CHILDHOOD
thankyou!!! i love this bit
"Goddamn whirly-bird left without us!"
"Okay, one: stop calling it a 'whirly-bird.' It's a helicopter. Two. I don't like being in buildings that are on fire."
"Looks like the whirly bird was heading to the mall across town. And I'll call it what I like, fancy suit."
"HELICOPTER!! IT'S A HELICOPTER!! YOU CALL THAT THING A WHIRLY-BIRD ONE MORE TIME, I'LL BEAT YOU SO BAD, YOUR SISTER'S GONNA WISH SHE NEVER GAVE BIRTH TO YOU."
its so bad.. if u look at the places and the CEDA agents hospitels... u can see a story whats happend in the towns and the panic in the towns... until all "died"
Coronavirus Theme
@Silvervest you said: "@heroman117
??? When is someone betrayed in this campaign?"
So I said, let me know when you find out...
"Damn whirlybird left without us!"
“HELICOPTER IT IS A HELICOPTER YOU CALL THAT THING A WHIRLYBIRD ONE MORE TIME!!”
when i hear this
4 some reason i can amagine myself setting up barricades at albany mall in new zealand, realy kinda suits this music, u knw NZ nothern rural communities and a mall just dnt mix, just like the 2 halves of this song!
I think that must turn Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 in a TV serie, could be very interesting see it, No?
Yelling at the helicopters to come back doesn't make them go back.
You know, people love the chainsaw in L4D2, but the ultimate zombie survival guide says that a chainsaw wouldn't be a good idea because it's heavy, it's loud and will attract more zombies, and you have to lug around gas for it.
@RawrNinjaBurgers Their flight just got delayed... *puts on sunglasses* Permanently.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The earrape helicopter at the beginning is missing
i need this to menu of left 4 dead 2
*Si el mundo se va al carajo
Yo prefiero ir armado*
at 1:20 the screeching metallic sound reminds me of death, then the beat of it after that reminds me of revenge or war.
This song remenber me to Dawn of the Dead
the 4 guys on the roof of 11 towers in 11 september 2001:
"Maybe, the chopper is made out of chocolate hehe"
TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN DEN DEN DEN DEN DREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNN
Coach: Looks like he was heading to the mall. Let's get going.
Nick: SCREW THIS!
Nice
I love this
Perfection.
It's sounds better with cutscene helicopter noise
WHY IS IT SO LOOOOOOUUUUDDDD?!?!?!?
Wow this song really has the feeling of sadness. civilization falls, skyscrapers crumble and men women and children gettting massacred by CI and specials.
best drop ever
It’s not the same without two infected bursting out the window followed by the deafening noise of the helicopter and the crew’s screaming for it to come back.
