@@carlosgarciapons1432 Hi Carlos, I was checking prices / apartments still in the Principate, of Monte Carlo, also if you have a residency in Monte Carlo (which is not so easy to get for a foreigner) the savings on taxable income is minimal. I still don't understand why Rickard left Marbella and I don‘t understand why Jon and family sold their perfect Casa Castle and also moved to Cyprus. Can‘t help it but it feels a bit like the channel‘s magic kind of disappeared. Sorry.
Moving to a new country where you don't have any freinds into a house that is way smaller and less nice than your last one just to save taxes seams kind of sad to me. Good thing you only need to be there half of the year officially ;)
They are in Peyia. "Peyia is a posh suburb of the Paphos District in Cyprus. There is a lot of demand for properties here, mainly from British and Scandinavian expats." For reference, Rickard's Cyprus villa is worth around 5 million euros.
Cyprus is a bit trash compared to marbella. Nice place for taxation and offshore company activities. House prices coming down big time aswell since brexit and covid
Do you really think these people deserve it? Or did they just get an heritage and escaping paying their taxes like honnest and poorer people do? Do the homeless deserve to sleep in the streets as well? #idiocracy

I don't get the hate! When they bought Casa Castle, nobody liked the house either and see what they made of it. Marbella is not that nice to live, always super crowded, no nice beaches and most importent no more family. In Monaco the apartment was way too small and they can always move back. Why not stay with family instead and live for a while in cyprus. It's quiet, good weather, lots of space and the family to spend time with. The house is only rented and they are also building a house in Sweden. People always have something to complain about. I enjoy the vlogs, you're doing everything right! 🥰👍 And about taxes.. Jon lived in Monaco for yeeeears and that is tax heaven no. 1 so that is no reasen to move.
It is the reason to move. Monaco (tax) residency requires staying there for a minimum given period per year. Cyprus doesn't require it to the same extent which frees up possibilities to stay much longer in Sweden while retaining tax benefits and even possible paying zero tax. Which makes perfect sense.
Even before you confirmed it, I predicted you'd go about 6 months before moving somewhere else. I hope back to Monaco. This is your 4th house you've lived in this year, so it probably feels good to have somewhere to live in for awhile.
It's because this place is closed and they will be opening it for other people in 6months..they are there only to do a promotion for the place. So that everyone watching will be going there just because Jon thinks is cool..when in real life he does it for money.
Jon & Janni: "There were a lot of maybes and finally we were like.. let‘s grab one of the houses....“ "Let‘s just say I was the one like deciding I would say“ "You know me being like maybe maybe maybe“... "we didn‘t want maybe, we wanted like get a house..."
It's the same at the White House. The President and his family can order any food 24/7 for the private residence, but they have to pay for it. Obama and others have said they were shocked when they got the first month's food bill, it was so expensive because they order a lot.
He said he had friends in Monaco and he was close to work & Sweden. He knows zero people in Cyprus other than Rickard, as far as we know, and it's a long way from anywhere in mainland Europe. It'll be OK for 6 months, but any 6 month vacation gets boring eventually.

They are with family and that is what is important! Jon and Janni wishing you and your family the best and many blessings to you! 💕
I'm just wondering if Jon will miss the sophistication of Monte Carlo.
yes and the 50sqm million euro apartments without views
@@ianmoone6562 Living in the lower part of Monte Carlo the property is expensive, go out from the center and prices drop and there are some very nice places for rent with great views at reasonable prices.
@@maxnex7676 hi max. true. but you have to be aware of something, when the prices drop is because you are entering to the france zone, so you start paying taxes at france and not in monaco, it may look that you are still in Monaco, but financially speaking you are in france territory.
@@carlosgarciapons1432 Hi Carlos, I was checking prices / apartments still in the Principate, of Monte Carlo, also if you have a residency in Monte Carlo (which is not so easy to get for a foreigner) the savings on taxable income is minimal. It just seems Cyprus (beautiful place and people) is still an island.
In the end what you may save up in taxes it will end up being spent on expensive property, goods and services.
So happy for you guys, to be so near family is truly amazing 🥰
I still don't understand why Rickard left Marbella and I don‘t understand why Jon and family sold their perfect Casa Castle and also moved to Cyprus. Can‘t help it but it feels a bit like the channel‘s magic kind of disappeared. Sorry.
Nah ur trippin. And they’re just renting. Can always move back
How Long did he live there? You can get a 5 year non dom tax exemption on foreign earned income. That probably run out.
Because of tax evasion
@@MrMobieleauto Tax Evasion would be illegal. It's tax avoidance.
Tax evasion and running from the riff raffs of society lest they stain their perfect needs.
I love the background music and of course, the house! - is somewhat like a summer oasis for ur family. Congrats and stay safe. Cheers!
Moving to a new country where you don't have any freinds into a house that is way smaller and less nice than your last one just to save taxes seams kind of sad to me. Good thing you only need to be there half of the year officially ;)
i watch your vlog then i watch jannis version. so so fun!!!!
They are in Peyia. "Peyia is a posh suburb of the Paphos District in Cyprus. There is a lot of demand for properties here, mainly from British and Scandinavian expats." For reference, Rickard's Cyprus villa is worth around 5 million euros.
"Can you jump from there to the pool?" absolute legend
Cyprus is a bit trash compared to marbella. Nice place for taxation and offshore company activities. House prices coming down big time aswell since brexit and covid
We’re not trash😐
Congrats…. Great move for the family…. ❤️
So pleased you are staying in Cyprus, let another storyline begin 👍
You guys deserve it. Love how warm the place feels. It really is (almost) perfect heaven
For taxes at least
@@Pilot2315 hahahh thats one way to look at it
Do you really think these people deserve it? Or did they just get an heritage and escaping paying their taxes like honnest and poorer people do? Do the homeless deserve to sleep in the streets as well? #idiocracy
And that is so funny that 2600 billions euros are not paid by the parasites... i mean the rich
Ser underbart ut!! Grattis! 😊
I’m excited for the new adventures you guys will be having ♥️♥️♥️
I don't get the hate! When they bought Casa Castle, nobody liked the house either and see what they made of it. Marbella is not that nice to live, always super crowded, no nice beaches and most importent no more family. In Monaco the apartment was way too small and they can always move back.
Why not stay with family instead and live for a while in cyprus. It's quiet, good weather, lots of space and the family to spend time with.
The house is only rented and they are also building a house in Sweden.
People always have something to complain about. I enjoy the vlogs, you're doing everything right! 🥰👍
And about taxes..
@@pieterverboven4853 ah, do they only have to stay in cyprus for 60 days? that would help alot for swedish house and lombok
Living so close to Turkey, Syria and Lebanon must be everybody's dream!
doesnt seem safe for a Rolls Royce
?
Great choice on the house. Jon you are literally a cool, good hearted guy.
13:03 „well it’s tight going into him as well” 🤨😂
Even before you confirmed it, I predicted you'd go about 6 months before moving somewhere else.
I really love their new home, and it feels like they have some great ideas coming along for the house 👏🏻 im excited for new vlogs!!!!
I really wanted house #3 but congrats on another home 😂😂😂 enjoy.
So happy you guys love it here!!
This feels so off...
What are they running from? Weird moving to remote Cyprus.
Jon & Janni: "There were a lot of maybes and finally we were like.. let‘s grab one of the houses....“ "Let‘s just say I was the one like deciding I would say“ "You know me being like maybe maybe maybe“... "we didn‘t want maybe, we wanted like get a house..."
bro your life is like a dream for me, first time i watch your videos but wow bro your good at life
The first room service bill would make me locate a grocery store !
😳
It's the same at the White House. The President and his family can order any food 24/7 for the private residence, but they have to pay for it. Obama and others have said they were shocked when they got the first month's food bill, it was so expensive because they order a lot.
Congratulations on the new home! But Cyprus is no even close to the Life Quality and beauty of Monaco region!
they are probably paying similar in rent on that big ass house than their monaco apartment, talk about life quality
what quality of life when you’ve to pay an arm & a leg to live in a box and an extremely crowded city?
He said he had friends in Monaco and he was close to work & Sweden. He knows zero people in Cyprus other than Rickard, as far as we know, and it's a long way from anywhere in mainland Europe. It'll be OK for 6 months, but any 6 month vacation gets boring eventually.
@@CallieMasters5000 its 3,5 hours flight from paphos to sweden. Thats not far, and they are doing the move for their kids.
@@marcelohendrix6139I live in Nice for many years "less than 20 minutes from Monaco" and have lived in several countries because of my business, but my business partner has lived in Monaco since 2013 and I travel to the country literally several times a week, and nothing I have ever seen compares to Monaco! Especially, security, services, tax advantages, the most beautiful neighborhood on the planet "Italy and France", wonderful roads on the side, movie regions like Lake Como just a few km away, etc! Everything working out the way I want in November I buy my apartment in Monaco and move there and it never left! And Jon's old apartment was his not rented, the last one he lived in was rented but still worth it more than anywhere else! If you speak ill of Monaco, it's because you don't know the country!
at 12:00 I would remove that white barrier by the pool and remodel the pool and turn it into an infinity pooland remove all that white barrier. then between the drive way and patio i would create a set of plants to separate the space and not it feel it like you are chilling on the drive way. oo it would also expand your views to the ocean: removing the white barrier
So for just 6 months in a rented house, does it make sense to spend on buying furniture when it's furnished?
Leon's high five is the highlight of this vlog!!!!!!
Jon looks so happy being back filming and settling in! We already know content is gonna remain 🔥
Excited to see what you'll do to this new house!
Two things I like about Cyprus: Peaceful and Privacy.. Congrats! The house is spacious and lovely. That was the house I voted for during the house tour vlog
Honestly happy for you. Nice choice after all.
Philip looks like a real man now, he's grown so fast!
Love the new home wishing you all lots of happy memories!!! Those turtles were magic 💙💙
I really would appreciate it if you guys could (I understand the reasons not to) be more open about the actual OBVIOUS tax-reasons for Rickard's 'sudden' move to Cyprus and you following him and trading Casa Castle for this. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, WE UNDERSTAND AND SUPPORT YOU GUYS. I mean, it's not like the finaces at the base of your initial capital: sponsoring (for hard atlethic work by you) by a company selling high-sugar drinks to kids, where highly ethical haha, no need to hide the current financial motives. In fact, I feel a bit 'dirty' watching this now, seeing you guys think you have to hide those current motives from us. ☹. Just be open! It's your life, own it! You pay back the lack of tax-paying by bringing joy to all your viewers!
Spain is the perfect place if you are poor. If you are rich, 50-60% tax will make you poor.
Congrats brother on the move.
Cyprus is next level tax game. Clearly the last couple years Rikard and you have had your net asset increase in value.
And when money works for you , you always gotta be ready for the next level tax game. Cyprus is sweet for tax haven.
Plus everything else in Marbella.
Smart move Rikard and John.
💯💯💯
congratulations with the new home.
Cool digs man, that pool needs a fence around it as well i think, kids move so fast, better to be safe.
Wow what a lovely place to have this beautiful sunset ❤
Awesome, congratulations guys. My favorite pick of the three too. But yes, please child proof the pool, please, please, please 💚 Enjoy!!!!
Congratulations on your beautiful new home!
Love the new house...🍾🥂..congrats. The view is a winner👍 Like the longer vlogs👌
They have a severe water shortage in Cyprus and are at threat for turkey to take over at any time, hope you are just leasing??
The UK has a military base there that also gets heavily used by the US, Turkey won't mess with them.

Thank you for sharing and congratulations to your new home. Just one question, the pool is totally open, are you not worried Leon might fall in? Is there a fence or something you can do?
Welcome to Cyprus guys!

Congrats for the house guys!

Jon did you keep your fiscal residence in Monaco or did you move it too to Cyprus?
Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you feel about the location? I mean for a future perspective, on how countries around you are going to evolve, conflicts and such?
well, giving the fact that you can explore only half of the island, because the other half is controlled by Turkey and its not the safest place to go in that area....what can you say?
@@dariusEMPEROR exactly my thought. Ofc it’s a tax heaven, so you would think that a lot people would invest in homes, infrastructure, security, etc.
But that would also mean that it’s going to attract different kinds of clientele’s.
Never heard much about the overall state of the island, I was just curious.
What, you don't want to go visit Syria, Lebanon, etc etc? 😳
Ser härligt ut! Grattis!
Congratulations🥳 happy for your family👌🥰
But what happened to all the Ryobi tools Hans gave you to the garage in Marbella?
It was a collaboration with Bauhaus Sweden and Jon doesn't even know how to work 5% of the tools. You can be quite sure they were left there or gifted to someone because he didn't use a single one of them.
He said in a previous video that is going to The house in sweden
@@schossel interesting
Good luck with the new house 👍
(make fence around the pool for saftey)
We hope your tax issue is not as serious as it seems. Giving up a Monaco domicile is the last thing I would ever recommend to a client. And moving to Cyprus is the last thing anyone would want. It’s really a desert for foreigners. And a former war zone. Cultural life? Nope.
Could you elaborate on why someone would move from Monaco to Cyprus when it comes to tax purposes? Because indeed when it comes to quality of life this doesn't seem like a step forward. Besides that you are so far from Europe's playground (St. Tropez, Monaco, Ibiza, Mallorca, Cannes etc).
Enjoy guys x
Stort grattis till nya huset! Ön är helt underbar och naturen är väldigt vacker! Rekommenderar att åka upp i trodos bergen och vandra de är otroligt fint. Sen kan du även åka skidor där på vintern.
Is this the beginning of the end ? ... next video dude actually gets a job!
Besides the ideal living arrangements, you pick practically the only house there with a kidney shaped pool. I imagine the next house you design and build, will have a proper lap pool. ✌️🥂
A big plus is the fact there is a green space bordering you. (only one neighbour beside)
House 3 was definitely the best !!! Who else agree ?
