This is my 3rd day with my Ryker. Reaching that 🤬 reverse lever was a pain. Not anymore! Hubby adjusted it and it's perfect! Thank you!! I do have one question tho... why are you the only one on TH-cam recommending this? It's absolutely brilliant and so common sense. 👍👍👍
I work on these things for a living so I have all kinds of tips and tricks. If you look in the description below my videos you'll see links to our website and at the bottom of our website is our contact information if you ever need any help don't hesitate to reach out... www.blrtuning.co
Hi Bill, I adjusted the shift a tad, plus added the gear shift extender and all works like a charm. Easy - peasy. One note as a wish list though. As I apply downward pressure on the shift to get in reverse, it would be ice if you had a sleeve for the extender so that the sole of a smooth treaded boot wouldn't slip. Thanks for the videos.
If I adjust the shift, will I lose the neutral position? As I'm sure you know, there is a "sweet spot" between forward and reverse in the factory settings that will allow you to easily push the bike with one hand.
No you won't lose the neutral position just make sure you put the bike into the forward position before removing the shift lever. Then adjust it to wherever it's comfortable for you to have it in the forward position and pull it into reverse with your foot or your hand if you're using your hand. Then tighten the bolt back down it'll still have all the same positions that it did your lever itself will just be in a new location
Bill, The plastic piece with the brp logo that’s goes around my digital display is loose and rattles Also , the plastic piece that goes around the display is also loose. The display itself isn’t loose. Just those two plastic pieces. Any recommendations how to tighten these plastic pieces?
Unfortunately, part of the box is in the way, and I cannot get a tool to unthread. the screw. How can I move the box out of the way temporarily so I can unthred
I tried and tried to remove the shifter after removing the bolt and it will not come off...dont want to pry and mar things up...any tips on removing a stuck shifter?
The bolt has to come all the way out in order for it to move at all. Then it should slide straight off of the splined shaft. If it has become rusty or anything like that it can get stuck. Try spraying some WD-40 on there and let it sit for about 20 minutes like that soaked in WD-40. Then try it again. When you're done and you do get it off if it's covered in WD-40 be sure to clean everything up before reassembling it
You should be able to rotate the lever into the reverse position and get to that screw without having to remove the airbox I haven't seen one yet where you would have to remove the air box to be able to adjust it
313outgoin@gmail.com 2019 Ryker driving 40mph the Ryker lost gear going Forward sounded just like when it clicks n2 gear when it takes off. Shifter seems normal, R works fine but F only spins as if in a neutral. Local Can Am dealer dosent know or ever heard this problem. Any help please? Parking brake seems to work fine, shifter seems fine just wont engage F even though the dash says its in F?

Perfect, I might even be willing to tackle this. The way my shift lever is now is a pain in the neck. Thanks for this one.

I'm not sure I have not taken that apart yet..
Im thinking about to put Linear Actuator to control forward and reverse.
It has been done already you can do it
Unfortunately, part of the box is in the way, and I cannot get a tool to unthread. the screw. How can I move the box out of the way temporarily so I can unthred
If the air box is in the way I have a video showing how to remove it.. please take a look at my playlist for the Can-Am ryker
Will this still work with the factory panels installed instead of the intake you have installed?
yes it will still work as I mentioned in the video your bike might look a little different than mine but it is still the same concept..
Sweet thank you

Bolt was removed and no rust at all...I'll try soaking with some seafoam and let you know what happens. Thank you for replying
@LE-ny4sz try using some kind of lubricant not sea foam. Something that will soak into it like WD-40.
Got it...just needed alittle leverage.
Thanks for the videos and all you do to provide them
Wd-40 isn't a lubricant...look into seafoam deep creep stuff is amazing
Hi BiLL Ramseyer!
We would have your opportunities.
Good luck to you!
I just started to do that, but mine has a plastic air intake blocking the screw.. To much work to remove all that stuff..
You should be able to rotate the lever into the reverse position and get to that screw without having to remove the airbox I haven't seen one yet where you would have to remove the air box to be able to adjust it
@@BLRTUNING I'll try again, but could not get it in. I will look for a shorter allen and try again tomorrow.. Thanks

I have not came across any issues like this myself as well so this would be a tough one to troubleshoot...
