Hi mate ahh thanks he wil be joking us at Malvern this year we are all going to come down, the onions are plodding along nicely now thanks for the come g have a great week mate
Congrats!! He's gorgeous bless him! My onions are whispers compared to yours, I need to neglect mine now too lol No need to stress about the lack of videos, you've enough on. Great to have you back though!
Congratulations again Duncan. I hope your wife is doing well. Lovely pictures. Back to onions... your 'neglected' onions are thicker than mine lol. The two onions you were going to chuck in the polytunnel to fend for themselves were huge! Im using Q4 mycorrhizal funghi. Im potting mine on today. Informative update Duncan. Take care, Elaine 🧅🧅🧅👍🌱🌱
Again a huge congratulations to you both well and Big Brother Bobbie 🎉. Couldn’t get a better Christmas present 💝. Yes they are never the same way twice but what fun would that be. Holy your “neglected” onions look better than my pampered ones 😂😂. Have a fantastic week ahead, Ali 🌞🥶🇨🇦
Nice to see you back Duncan, no need to appologise for anything mate, and once again congrats on the birth of your new son. Enjoyed this video. Your Own onions are looking good, so to are the Ailsae, nice and strong. The onion i held back for seed had begun to go a bit soft, i just stripped a few layers off and it seems fine now, seems to be rooting into the pot ok and sprouting. Best of luck with the longest chilli challenge
Ill save some of the onions from the compost bin. Ive got the shopping baskets ontop of the bin shed they can go in but i can keep them on the windowsil till the weather calms down a bit 😅
Hey Duncan, good to see you back ,onions look good i have re potted mine a few days back ,tough choosing the best and binning the rest 😂hope your new baby is doing well 👍
Hi mate all doing great thank you, ye it can be tough but once you run out of room something has to go lol it's time to get other things going now too so things soon fill up
Would you also put Q4 and charge on your maincrop onions, I'm doing onions from seed this year i did 95% sets 2024 but found seed were better larger onions. Will you be doing videos for your maincrop also mate? 🏴
Yes I wil be putting it on my main crop too, I use it on most plants it just helps develop healthy roots onley thing I avoid using it on is brassica plants they don't like it for some reason
@CoastalGardensNW nice one, I'm hoping I do well with seeds this year did just over 300 setsast year need that amount to last the year lol, where in NW you bud? We SW
@@Ammanfordallotmentier hope they do well for you I stay away from sets they always bolt, it's amazing how much we need for the year I've just ran out a few weeks ago and almost out of garlic too soon goes
“ I’ve neglected these” they then look brilliant. That’s just rubbing it in. 😂👍 At least my seed onions are further on than yours, got some good top growth coming through on 3 out of the 5. They are starting to deteriorate around the outside though and I’m having to skin them back quite hard. No need to apologise for lack of content mate, a new baby should be your first priority, but it’s great to have a catch up. 🧅👍

@CoastalGardensNW yes mate I still got garlic from last year I'm new to the whole veggie growing first year 2024 but loving it
What size pot will you use after the 1 litre?
Probably a 3l pot next I like to be adding a decent amount of fresh compost when I pot them on
Thanks Duncan 😊

Eventually you wil get back to the center and it wil all be green mate you can take it back straight away but it's best to do it gradually,
