I struggle to continue to be a fan of hers. I've heard that she's been heavily into drugs for many years now (except for during her pregnancy, of course). That's what Popbitch said, and they've never been wrong about anything they've said about various celebrities down through the years. Drugs (most likely stimulants, like amphetamine) would explain Grimes' chaotic, frenetic and erratic personality. Talking a million miles a minute is synonymous with speed use.

Wait, did she say she believes art should be free while talking about the NFTs she sold that netted her millions?
Yeah, that whole part was weird. I think she meant "free" as in that its digital and has a value in the crypto-world. I'm not into NFTs, but I did look into it. In some ways, it was like a revival of art on a digital renaissance sort of level- lots of good and lots of bad art, AI art, and lots of art programs designed to make NFTs for avatars. On a digital art scale, artwork that wouldn't sell suddenly had this incentive that cryptocurrency put behind it. Everyone into it felt like they needed to collect them. In that way, sure, it had some freedom to it. Unfortunately, its the materialism behind the crypto/NFT culture that makes just okay artwork done by a celebrity worth millions of dollars in crypto. The only people that really bank off of any of it are celebrities. I think it'll all die down soon.
Maybe people will learn to paint again. lol

She commented on the environmental downsides to NFTS and moved on quickly. I'm just commenting on how it's so transparent how she "cares" about the environment when we all know that celebrities are the most self-interested people on this planet and their environmental activism is completely performative. She also likes to pretend that she's this inspiring "rags to riches" story when she grew up in one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Vancouver.
