3:45 today’s the day I first listened to the song and it was my thought exactly. Maybe that’s why I love it, I get big SWEET / THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE vibes from the beat switch
I love that he is repping his fandoms like Harry Potter and SpongeBob SquarePants. I love that he’s aware of Ahmaud Arbery’s murder and talks about his mental health struggles. I have severe hydrophobia after almost drowning when I was four and this song gets me through showering without losing my damned mind. “I’ma raw dog life, I ain’t doin’ no habits” is the hook that keeps me calm. I remember when I got the memory back right after therapy and having a massive panic attack by the time I got to my behavioral health appointment and being told repeatedly how brave I was to finish showering. I had to get clean. This song is so real for me because he’s talking about psych health issues and fandoms and just being a real person and you don’t get that all the time in rap. Logic also talks about his mental health issues and Eminem does as well and that’s what sticks with me and gets me through the jungle gym that is my own mental health. They’re heroes for reasons that don’t even have to do with rap even though that’s the medium they use to express their realities instead of just women, money, blah blah blah and that just gets me through hard times. I don’t ever have to hide my struggles because they’re what makes me me. I can own almost dying multiple times and having to diagnose myself because my mother and sister were in denial. Having to yell back at my grandmother that she was lucky she was born healthy (note: I had a stroke when I was born and have had a cascade of effects from being born extremely prematurely to this day) and I’m tempted to delete all of this, but hiding it implies that I did something wrong so me posting this comment is just me reminding myself that I am not bad or anything for things that literally were not in my control or my fault. I’ve been in therapy for a really long time and while I could list the crap I have to deal with, that isn’t the point. The point is that I’m surviving and advocating for myself every day and this is part of that.
Dezzy was at a loss for words at the end. Rich why did you do that to my guy lol😆 But I understand Rich Brian threw us curve ball at the end. It's like a start of a whole another song at the end.
1:43 cracked me tf up bro idk why I think it's the way he said it😂 (besides that fuckin love this song bro I found it on a add and was like no way that chigga but then I found out its Brian now lol)
Ima put this here because I can't find anyone else speaking on it. The verse: "Just got the shoes as red as filet mignons" Red shoes have a tie to shoes created with human flesh. It's an illuminati bar and someone tell me I'm reaching.
LMAO I’ll see u at head in the clouds bro and yes I will perform both of these songs
