at a minimum, everybody involved should AT LEAST withdraw their API Keys. although id recommend anybody who uses / has used these sites (including me) to completely distance themselves from them.

Yeah I 100% with this because it is now hard to track and determine the price of skins because the sell prices would be so erratic. So a gun skin will sell at $4 then $10 multiply times ago. So you just get this massive erratic zig zag in which hard to determine a price for. An example is the AWP | Atheris. Min. Ware.
Kinda joking but just buy low and sell high lol. Just some basic knowledge of major capsule events/operation/steam sales gives lots of opportunity to fund your steam account without adding funds. High volume skins like the awp your talking about typically follow normal trends
Valve must see some value to their company in the gambling websites. They could easily just shut them down. I’m not sure what valve’s angle is on this, but clearly it’s not hurting them.
Personally, I don't trust any of those third party sites. A lot of the owners are potentially dodgy/scammers, plus they use trading bots in which could get banned by Valve with the items locked in their inventories. Basically, you are telling your items against Valve's terms and conditions on the black market. Then again, I know people do use them and have not had issues but I guess there is that little element of risk involved.

I like all the people in the comments complaining about them not banning cheaters as if they are remotely similar. They literally have a ledger and can just check to see how people were trading it’s super easy to crack down on. Cracking down on cheaters is a whole process and not a magic button they need to just decide to push.
I mean, ppl have to understand that most of the guys who were banned made more money than the lost… I’ve participated in trading on these sites, csgoroll specifically. Pretty simple, you get a liquid skin, like karambit marble fade. List it for 12% mark up during dry withdraw, it sells, you wait and later buy one for 9.5%. Repeat next week. I’ve started with 10k and got to 27k at the end of the year. Luckily it was kind of obvious that this involved a lot more risk after then gambling TOS add on, so I stopped. No ban for me. But others who got banned with 100k, most likely they have received 3x that money and if they didn’t withdraw all this time, taking on that much risk on one acc, well they deserve a ban then for their own stupidity 🤷♂️
Happened to me as well and I had a 2-3k inventory. That really scared me. From what I could figure out it seemed like commenting real players good inventories were counting as Phishing / trying to scam them. Wasn't though, but glad it got removed after about 1 week.

If they are both your own accounts you should be safe. Just be careful for API scams, Anomaly did a great little video to prevent those from happening.

Yes they are. I'm one of them with 210K+ inventory. I was only BUYING from one of these websites involving "empire" in the name. Re-selling on places such as buff, market etc. Got nuked

I was one of these few unlucky people who got falsely banned! i reached out to you on twitter. got unbanned one day after the ban without any message from the steam support. They answered my Support Message 2 days later.

These bots always deserved the bans, but the people are buying shouldn't, but realisticly you should be able to buy things off of sites that don't have gambling.

my account got banned in ban wave that happened 1672 days ago when a lot of people that did nothing got banned and valve refused to unban them just like me im still waiting for my vac ban to dissapear, yes vac ban does dissapear after 7 years of having vac ban and not getting any other bans so im just waiting now

If they are both your own accounts you should be safe. Just be careful for API scams, Anomaly did a great little video to prevent those from happening.
They should also ban youtubers that promote this sites, because the ban is well deserved
Some people just use the game as a investing thing and is wrong. They don t even play that much, just open cases and gambling. CS:GO is not developed for these purposes so...

Yes they are. I'm one of them with 210K+ inventory. I was only BUYING from one of these websites involving "empire" in the name. Re-selling on places such as buff, market etc. Got nuked

I was one of these few unlucky people who got falsely banned! i reached out to you on twitter. got unbanned one day after the ban without any message from the steam support. They answered my Support Message 2 days later.

Money > community, spending so much time and effort banning these massive gambling i get completely and couldnt care less either way, but they will absolutely NEVER put half this effort into catching cheating.

Catching a cheater requires cheating from valves side to counter it, if im not mistaken.
How is valve supposed to check a players pc? Its not as easy legaly
