Randy, no need to build a case, Revelation 21:9 seems pretty clear to me. "Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God."
Please, Please, note that vs. 9 says in part, "...I will show you the bride...". If then we are about to be shown the Bride, should we then not take note of the description? "...Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb." I would point out that the city, in it's very structure (the physical, literal pointing to the spiritual) is made of BOTH Israel AND the New Testament Church! Christ will be united with a glorified people in that New Heaven with ALL the Saints that are called unto Himself of multiple ages. Israel and the land of Israel are indeed the focus of Ezekiel and the Millennial Earth. Yet, that earth is then done away with! A new Earth replaces the old, the old Jerusalem is replaced with the NEW! Christ is indeed wed to the redeemed people of Israel, and the land married, but much is changed thereafter, and the two sheep folds become ONE fold, and we have ONE Shepherd. There will be only ONE Bride, while there appears that now, there are two elect Ladies, the Church and Israel. I would note, it would be helpful if we defined the Church. Traditionally many would understand that word to speak of all saints of all ages. Mr. White seems to define it only as the New Testament era saints? I pray that our Lord helps us love His Word, and His people while we search out these very involved issues.
Thanks for correcting this church tradition. I have three issues about this tradition. 1. We should not involve in any marriage in heaven. Matthew 22:30 "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven." 2. Church is the body of Christ. How could it become the bride, too? 3. We, individually, are brothers of Christ. We, collectively as Church, become bride of Christ. Could we marry to our brother Jesus? It is a very strange logic.
Another thought on this subject, it make a lot of sense that if the church is the body of Christ and Israel the bride that when they marry, the two will become one in some way. As in the way Paul talks about marriage between a man and a woman, he says this is a great mystery. So Christ’s body being made up of all the individual believers of the church and the bride of the believing Israelites, makes much more sense than marrying himself. God refers to Israel over and over as the bride. It’s so important that when we discuss these things that we keep a heart of love and not division. As Mr White so eloquently says this is not an issue that in any way affects our salvation, so to consider a person heretical that holds this belief is not a Christian way of approaching it. You people are just in denial. What was John shown? The church or the body of Christ? No it plainly goes on and on in detail about the new Jerusalem being the wife and bride. There’s no denying it unless you want to deny what the revelation of Christ plainly says. Your all just repeating what you’ve been taught over the years. Go back and read it to a little child and ask them who they think is being described as the bride and wife. The question is can the church also be described as the wife and bride and I believe yes because of what happens in a marriage the two become one body but to say that what is so plainly stated in revelation is not true is to have checked your common sense at the door so to speak. Jews do not believe that the land of Israel will become married to the Mashiach, rather that the land is married to them. They compare them ‘entering into’ the land as the marriage act. Although, the truth is that the land of Israel, ergo New Jerusalem will actually be the wife of the lamb. The lamb being our High Priest representing the people of Israel. But the land itself wouldn't be a bride, it would have to mean the Israeli people along with the land. Then consider that only the people who believe in Jesus are saved. There is only one body of Christ, Gentiles are grafted in. There is no difference between Israelis (often referred to as Jews, but Jewishness is the religion as well as the tribe of Judah) and Gentiles, all being believers. Then consider the ten lost tribes, who are also Israel (many surely believing themselves Gentiles). Then consider the multiple layers and types and shadows of scripture.

Jesus has a physical bride she is the second Eve. Jerusalem is an allegory to who she is. Divine union, or marriage, is very real. All are invited, both men and women, to be the bride. One of the keys to understanding a topic is to look at first mention in scripture. The first bride is Eve and she is taken from part of Adam's body, a rib. That is the type and the anti type has to follow the basic principles. So Christ has need of a bride and the type dictates it must come from His body as He is the second Adam so as the church is His body the bride must be a part of it. This is what sainthood is all about, those called to be saints (Rev 19.7&8) and faithful as in Ephesians, Colossians. I think the bride honor was removed from Israel and given to a nation that would be worthy of Per Mt 21.43.

STAR W only the true bride can reveal herself once Jesus has shown her to the world during the tribulation. The church teaches about the rapture but they don’t teach how the rapture comes in 3 watches. The first watch is barely mentioned once in the Bible and it talks about how she will be risen up with her. He is like a thief in the night and will take her up. They will be married and then 3 and 1/2 years into the tribulation then will the church be brought up during the 2nd and 3rd watch to be joined for the wedding feast of the lamb :) let me know if this helps!

🤔 I think we have misunderstood what marriage is. We understand it on the level we are on... In the physical realm... Where a man gets down on one knee, asks her to marry him, they have a fancy ceremony where they invite all their friends and family, they sign the marriage license, and they are now "married". God did not say a man shall leave his mother and father and be married to a woman. He said a man shall leave his mother and father and be joined to his wife. Do you see the difference? Just because you have a piece of paper that says you are "married" that does not mean its an actual "union" with your wife or husband. A man shall leave his mother and father and be JOINED to his wife... Not "A woman"... That woman is someone elses wife if you are not truly joined together. HIS WIFE. Was Adam given a line up of women to choose from when looking for a wife? Oh wait... Adam wasn't even looking. Adam didn't say "God, I am alone, please fix that." God looked at Adam and, "It is not good that man should be alone." So He created His wife, from a part of Adam for Adam. From a rib. Whose function is to protect ones inner organs from harm. If that is how it was in the very beginning... Why then would we believe that something has changed? That somehow now we have to "find" each other in this sea of people... To get married and hope we find a way to "join" together along the way. If you have to work to "join together", you weren't meant to join together. Magnets can be attracted to each other, or push each other away. Depending on how they are facing each other. The "Bride" isn't the woman of some religious ceremony that will held before all of mankind. She is not His Bride. She is His Wife. The One whom He was designed to be joined to. There is no ceremony necessary for what is being done. 🤷♀️ No piece of paper that needs to be signed, sealed, and stored away as proof of the status of your relationship. No witness that needs to be called up to verify the connection between the two. None of that is a necessary part of ANY process of truly being joined together. That is really just a courtesy of the husband and wife, to celebrate together with their loved ones their union of heart, soul, mind and body. Why does anyone have to ask for the bride to be revealed when it already has so plainly been revealed in the revelation of Christ. It’s that people are so caught up in just believing what they are told instead of using common sense. If it was presented in the same way in any other book or story it would be obvious that what is being said in revelation is the next thing that is shown to John is the bride and wife as previously described by the angel. Now the question is can and or should the church also be described as the wife and bride of Christ. I wish I knew where I fit in the body(church). I wish I knew what I am to God. I'm so sorry for everything. We will understand better when we get there but right now it doesn't make sence. Everyone is so lost and lonely and the waiting is so long. Hmmm now that Iv'e thought about it, it occured to me that it doesn't matter where I fit into the church. The Bride is the Omer or wave sheaf offering that comes out of the first fruits barley, I understood that the Bride has a fine linen garment composed of the righteousness of the saints. There is a difference between the Bride and the first fruits, the 144,000 are part of the fine linen dress that belongs to the Bride. And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much as bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses, a sheaf of corn or Omer of grain represented as an offering on the second day of Passover. She is there in the Omer, the sheaf of barley offered on the second day of the Passover.
Why don’t you use scripture to back up what you say instead of putting fragments together. It’s more than obvious that the new Jerusalem is the bride and wife. The book plainly says so. There’s no way around it. The question for me is can the church and Israel also be considered the bride and wife and i believe so and one reason is possibly because of the trinity and also Christ teaches that when marriage happens the two become one body so the church being the body of Christ does not make it impossible for it to also be his bride but as he says in the video trying to figure it out completely doesn’t affect our salvation and i lean on the fact that when we get there and or he appears we will know

They are called House of Israel and Mount Zion. Lord Jesus came only for these churches House of Israel and Mount Zion. Yes. Israel is presented as the bride. And israel is no longer just a geographic location or political people. The Isreal of God is the seed of Abraham. And Christ is that seed. Anyone who believes in Christ is Abraham's seed. And there is neither jew nor greek. We have become one in Christ. It is a great mystery Eph 5:32. The body is the bride. Again, it is a great mystery. Do a search in the scriptures for the phrase "Bride of Christ" and see what you find? Also Hosea 2:16 speaking of Israel says it this way..."“In that day,” declares the Lord, “you will call me ‘my husband’ you will no longer call me ‘my master."
If the gentiles were grafted in the olive branch and there is no difference between the Jews and the Greeks (for we all became one with no distinction), wouldn't the church, (Jews & Gentiles alike) not be also grafted in as the Bride as well? That would mean then that PART of Christ, the messianic Jews would be torn out of the body to be part of the Bride wouldn't it? I am a bit confused about the "grafting in" and being an "adopted Jew" thing and there being no difference because of adoption.

Amen. Someone who rightly divides the word of truth. Israel is the Bride of Christ. 2 Cor 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Christ in His earthly ministry was a minister to the Circumcision. The Circumcision was Israel and is why Jesus stated He only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. His ministry was as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, as Messiah to Israel, as a sheep led to the slaughter. This was His ministry in the flesh. We now know Christ no longer after the flesh. To us, who abide in the Gospel of Grace, Christ is our risen Savior, conquerer of sin, King of kings, Lord of lords. You are correct. There is a lot of New Testament Scripture that contradicts the church as the bride. Regarding the 2Corinthans 11:2 text, Paul is foolishly and metaphorically speaking of "espousing" them to Christ. In fact, he indicates himself this foolishness of idea in verse 1 "Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me." If the church is the bride of Christ, then the church could not be the church or the body of Christ. A bride is the body of no man. She is an entity in herself with no connection to anyone. I agree… you can’t be the body of Christ. With Him as the head of the body. Then jump to being the bride. It makes no sense. Furthermore in the verse cited … Paul uses a simile … I present you as A bride ‘ not as THE bride. Furthermore is it only the Corinthians who are the bride? Because that’s who Paul is writing to.

But Rev 22:17 does not match up with it. Bcos the Spirit and bride offers us the waters of life. Neither the church can do that nor the saints too...as both, the people from the church & saints, are born from sin. This only can match up...as Jesus says He alone has the waters of life = Jn 4:14, so that they can never thirst again. When God knows how to quench our spiritual thirst with the living waters, then how can the people born from sin, do it... doesn't make any sense, what you preach!

It's very simple the bride of Christ is the Holy Spirit. The word that is used in the New testament to describe the Holy Spirit as a he is the word Autos and that word is and neuter form like a pronoun it can be used as he or she but the translators chose to use he instead of she and reducing what should be known as the family of God having father mother and son into the three musketeers! Also remember that in Genesis it says let us make man in our image and then it says and in his image he made them both male and female he made them. aside from Rev 21:9, look also at Isa 62:4. the comment about Paul’s statement is a simile, “as” not “is”. 80% of the bible is about His holy people, His marriage to them, His divorce from them, their return to Him, why would anyone think the Body of Christ is the bride?
Sorry, but your statement cuts it's own throat. You admit it's 80% about Gods marriage and divorce to Israel. Well, a close look at Deuteronomy 24:1-4 will show once you divorce a woman for uncleanness and she marrys another (as in follows other gods) than the former husband can not take her back to be her wife after she had been defiled; for that is an abomination before the Lord. So, why the church? It's the new bride. This does not mean that Israel is forsaken. There will be a remnant preserved and the city will stand...I do not believe in replacement theology but it does fit with the scripture. I think Ephesians 5:22-33 pretty much sums it up.

Nice try but to deny what the angel shows John is to deny the word and revelation of Christ. He the angel specifically says he will show John the bride the wife and then John says what he is shown and it’s goes on and on to describe the city and says nothing about the church or body of christ but mentions nations walking in the light of it. If we want to see the church his body as a bride and or wife that’s one thing but to deny that this Jerusalem is also the wife and bride is just taking the word of God and making it say something else. As for me I will believe what the text says so plainly and simply what John saw is what the angel says is the bride and wife of the lamb.

Randy, no need to build a case, Revelation 21:9 seems pretty clear to me. Please, Please, note that vs. 9 says in part, "...I will show you the bride...". If then we are about to be shown the Bride, should we then not take note of the description?

I would point out that the city, in it's very structure (the physical, literal pointing to the spiritual) is made of BOTH Israel AND the New Testament Church! Christ will be united with a glorified people in that New Heaven with ALL the Saints that are called unto Himself of multiple ages. Israel and the land of Israel are indeed the focus of Ezekiel and the Millennial Earth. Yet, that earth is then done away with! A new Earth replaces the old, the old Jerusalem is replaced with the NEW! Christ is indeed wed to the redeemed people of Israel, and the land married, but much is changed thereafter, and the two sheep folds become ONE fold, and we have ONE Shepherd. There will be only ONE Bride, while there appears that now, there are two elect Ladies, the Church and Israel.
I would note, it would be helpful if we defined the Church. Traditionally many would understand that word to speak of all saints of all ages. Mr. White seems to define it only as the New Testament era saints?

Thanks for correcting this church tradition. I have three issues about this tradition. 1. We should not involve in any marriage in heaven. Matthew 22:30 "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven." 2. Church is the body of Christ. How could it become the bride, too? 3. We, individually, are brothers of Christ. We, collectively as Church, become bride of Christ. Could we marry to our brother Jesus? It is a very strange logic.
Another thought on this subject, it make a lot of sense that if the church is the body of Christ and Israel the bride that when they marry, the two will become one in some way. As in the way Paul talks about marriage between a man and a woman, he says this is a great mystery. So Christ’s body being made up of all the individual believers of the church and the bride of the believing Israelites, makes much more sense than marrying himself. God refers to Israel over and over as the bride. It’s so important that when we discuss these things that we keep a heart of love and not division. As Mr White so eloquently says this is not an issue that in any way affects our salvation, so to consider a person heretical that holds this belief is not a Christian way of approaching it. How do most overlook that huge "AS" in 2 Cor 11:2...??? Its just a comparison... This is also why most do not understand endtime prophecy. If you confuse the Church or Israel with New Jerusalem, you will never figure it out... The Bible PLAINLY tells us New Jerusalem is the Bride, so why would there be 2 brides? That makes no sense...
Jews do not believe that the land of Israel will become married to the Mashiach, rather that the land is married to them. They compare them ‘entering into’ the land as the marriage act. But the land itself wouldn't be a bride, it would have to mean the Israeli people along with the land. Then consider that only the people who believe in Jesus are saved. There is only one body of Christ, Gentiles are grafted in. There is no difference between Israelis (often referred to as Jews, but Jewishness is the religion as well as the tribe of Judah) and Gentiles, all being believers. Then consider the ten lost tribes, who are also Israel (many surely believing themselves Gentiles). Then consider the multiple layers and types and shadows of scripture.

One of the keys to understanding a topic is to look at first mention in scripture. The first bride is Eve and she is taken from part of Adam's body, a rib. That is the type and the anti type has to follow the basic principles. So Christ has need of a bride and the type dictates it must come from His body as He is the second Adam so as the church is His body the bride must be a part of it. This is what sainthood is all about, those called to be saints (Rev 19.7&8) and faithful as in Ephesians, Colossians. I think the bride honor was removed from Israel and given to a nation that would be worthy of Per Mt 21.43.

STAR W only the true bride can reveal herself once Jesus has shown her to the world during the tribulation. The church teaches about the rapture but they don’t teach how the rapture comes in 3 watches. The first watch is barely mentioned once in the Bible and it talks about how she will be risen up with her. He is like a thief in the night and will take her up. They will be married and then 3 and 1/2 years into the tribulation then will the church be brought up during the 2nd and 3rd watch to be joined for the wedding feast of the lamb :) let me know if this helps!

Rev. 21:9-10, the Lamb is a metaphor for God (Jesus) and the Holy City New Jerusalem is a metaphor for the bride. Bride means female. If male and female gives life it's so obvious who they are. But because people are in spiritual Babylon (Confusing) sound doctrine looks confusing to them, 2nd Timothy 4:3-4. It's so simple, you get spiritual life just like you got physical life, by parents. And no, the Virgin Mary is not our mother, but our sister who was blessed to bring the Savior into the world. Listen for the Spirit and the bride, and when you hear Them, come!!!

God did not say a man shall leave his mother and father and be married to a woman. He said a man shall leave his mother and father and be joined to his wife.
Do you see the difference? Just because you have a piece of paper that says you are "married" that does not mean its an actual "union" with your wife or husband.
A man shall leave his mother and father and be JOINED to his wife... Not "A woman"... That woman is someone elses wife if you are not truly joined together.

If that is how it was in the very beginning... Why then would we believe that something has changed?
That somehow now we have to "find" each other in this sea of people... To get married and hope we find a way to "join" together along the way.
If you have to work to "join together", you weren't meant to join together. Magnets can be attracted to each other, or push each other away. Depending on how they are facing each other.
The "Bride" isn't the woman of some religious ceremony that will held before all of mankind.
She is not His Bride. She is His Wife. The One whom He was designed to be joined to.
There is no ceremony necessary for what is being done. 🤷♀️ No piece of paper that needs to be signed, sealed, and stored away as proof of the status of your relationship. No witness that needs to be called up to verify the connection between the two.
None of that is a necessary part of ANY process of truly being joined together.
That is really just a courtesy of the husband and wife, to celebrate together with their loved ones their union of heart, soul, mind and body.

Why does anyone have to ask for the bride to be revealed when it already has so plainly been revealed in the revelation of Christ. It’s that people are so caught up in just believing what they are told instead of using common sense. If it was presented in the same way in any other book or story it would be obvious that what is being said in revelation is the next thing that is shown to John is the bride and wife as previously described by the angel. This is a confusing topic
The Bride is the Omer or wave sheaf offering that comes out of the first fruits barley, I understood that the Bride has a fine linen garment composed of the righteousness of the saints. There is a difference between the Bride and the first fruits, the 144,000 are part of the fine linen dress that belongs to the Bride.

She is there in the Omer, the sheaf of barley offered on the second day of the Passover.
Why don’t you use scripture to back up what you say instead of putting fragments together. It’s more than obvious that the new Jerusalem is the bride and wife. The book plainly says so. Bride of Christ is not a Christian religion nor christian believers. The words of God only speak two true churches where the children of God must go and get saved. They are called House of Israel and Mount Zion. Lord Jesus came only for these churches House of Israel and Mount Zion. Lord Jesus did not call His disciples brides of Christ but friends of the Bridegroom. Lord Jesus called Himself Bridegroom because He truly has a bride. In revelation it speaks about a woman whose son gets carried up toward the heavens. It’s all allegorical. Jerusalem is an allegory for the bride of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was the second Adam. The second Eve has still not been redeemed.

Do a search in the scriptures for the phrase "Bride of Christ" and see what you find? Also Hosea 2:16 speaking of Israel says it this way..."“In that day,” declares the Lord, “you will call me ‘my husband’ you will no longer call me ‘my master."
If the gentiles were grafted in the olive branch and there is no difference between the Jews and the Greeks (for we all became one with no distinction), wouldn't the church, (Jews & Gentiles alike) not be also grafted in as the Bride as well? That would mean then that PART of Christ, the messianic Jews would be torn out of the body to be part of the Bride wouldn't it? I am a bit confused about the "grafting in" and being an "adopted Jew" thing and there being no difference because of adoption.
If you're in the body of Christ, you are no longer a Jew, not even a messianic Jew. So, what is the confusion?

Christ in His earthly ministry was a minister to the Circumcision. The Circumcision was Israel and is why Jesus stated He only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

This was His ministry in the flesh.

The ekklesia is an earthen vessel. All the saints in salvation history, the "Israel of God," comprise the bride of Christ.
I agree… you can’t be the body of Christ. With Him as the head of the body. Then jump to being the bride. It makes no sense. Furthermore in the verse cited … Paul uses a simile … I present you as A bride ‘ not as THE bride. Furthermore is it only the Corinthians who are the bride? Because that’s who Paul is writing to.
The church of God (1 Cor.10:32) will be Jesus’ bride.

But Rev 22:17 does not match up with it. Bcos the Spirit and bride offers us the waters of life. Neither the church can do that nor the saints too...as both, the people from the church & saints, are born from sin.
This only can match up...as Jesus says He alone has the waters of life = Jn 4:14, so that they can never thirst again. When God knows how to quench our spiritual thirst with the living waters, then how can the people born from sin, do it... doesn't make any sense, what you preach!

It's very simple the bride of Christ is the Holy Spirit.
The word that is used in the New testament to describe the Holy Spirit as a he is the word Autos and that word is and neuter form like a pronoun it can be used as he or she but the translators chose to use he instead of she and reducing what should be known as the family of God having father mother and son into the three musketeers!
Also remember that in Genesis it says let us make man in our image and then it says and in his image he made them both male and female he made them. The image of God is both male and female obviously.Don't we have creation to verify this?

I always thought the church is the BODY of Christ. God was married to Israel, gave them a divorce but will remarry Israel in the last day.
aside from Rev 21:9, look also at Isa 62:4. the comment about Paul’s statement is a simile, “as” not “is”.
80% of the bible is about His holy people, His marriage to them, His divorce from them, their return to Him, why would anyone think the Body of Christ is the bride?

Sorry, but your statement cuts it's own throat. You admit it's 80% about Gods marriage and divorce to Israel. Well, a close look at Deuteronomy 24:1-4 will show once you divorce a woman for uncleanness and she marrys another (as in follows other gods) than the former husband can not take her back to be her wife after she had been defiled; for that is an abomination before the Lord.
So, why the church? It's the new bride. This does not mean that Israel is forsaken. There will be a remnant preserved and the city will stand...I do not believe in replacement theology but it does fit with the scripture. I think Ephesians 5:22-33 pretty much sums it up.

Believers in Jesus Christ are the bride of Christ, and we wait with great anticipation for the day when we will be united with our Bridegroom. Until then, we remain faithful to Him and say with all the redeemed of the Lord, “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).
Nice try but to deny what the angel shows John is to deny the word and revelation of Christ. He the angel specifically says he will show John the bride the wife and then John says what he is shown and it’s goes on and on to describe the city and says nothing about the church or body of christ but mentions nations walking in the light of it. If we want to see the church his body as a bride and or wife that’s one thing but to deny that this Jerusalem is also the wife and bride is just taking the word of God and making it say something else. As for me I will believe what the text says so plainly and simply what John saw is what the angel says is the bride and wife of the lamb.

who is the bride of Christ? if land then is it in the circumsised heart? the LOVE is Ysrael? so it is a group seen by the circumcised hearts that have no connection otherwise but GOD knows.
If you want to take what the Bible plainly teaches, read Revelation 19. If says: "and his wife hath made herself ready." If the bride is the land of Israel, how does she make herself ready? No, nonsense.
