Ah I love Milan products too! The Milan water brush we got in a past upcrate is one of my favourites still to this day, and I really enjoy their erasers. I'm not a fan of the colour change gimmick of the chameleon fineliners & products personally, but I do enjoy coloured linework. I as well much prefer this colour selection over the ones that came in the scrawlrbox. At the very least, they will see more use from me what with being a more muted earthy colour-selection. I am, however, so excited about the sketchbook. I've been needing another one recently and now I don't have to purchase one, and it's a hardcover too, which is super nice.

Finally chameleon came up with a product that’s not an absolute rubbish! 😂 I definitely could see use in those fineliners.
This made me laugh a little. It's also nice to hear from someone that would use them.
Thanks Gem! I received some chameleon fineliners in a sketchboxa few months back. I'm not overly impressed with them but I do use them as regular fineliners. I absolutely LOVE the art piece that came with the box! Gorgeous! 💖

I didn't get the Scrawler now this box but the chameleon pens aren't my thing either. I do love their makers though. :) I also like the sketchbook you got, looks very nice.
Your second pronounciation of "Deine Materialien" was pretty good, Gem :) and your translation was correct, too. Curious to see what you'll do with the fineliners. I wasn't a big fan of them either, though.
I do try. As I said, my limited German is very rusty, but it's kinda fun. When we were on holiday we met a very nice German couple and we were discussing how difficult the word 'squirrel' is to pronounce, and that Scottish people naturally find the German pronunciations easier than our other English-speaking counterparts. 'Schpirrer Farben' is a prime example!
@@TheColourCave I haven't heard many Scottish conversations, but I do know that the Scottish word for lake is "loch" which is pronounced like the German word for "(the) whole", so I figure it'd be easier for Scottish people to pronounce German words than it would for any other language actually. Apart from Dutch, maybe.
I'd love to know more Scottish terms, though. The original Gaelic language sounds so pretty, but also the dialect, which is probably why I love the movie "Brave" so much

I think they should've stuck to the thicker pens for the colour change feature. Rather than use the colour change features on the fineliners, I find mine handy for putting lines over watercolor paint. 👍 And I do love a triangular barrel.

About the sharpener... I write to you on the last Scrawlr Box (not this month.) About how to sharp a pencil and your lid just break and break.
When I got my Scrawlr Box (I live in Sweden so it tack some week to get the box) and test to sharpen my pencil it work perfect. And also this sharpener doing in this video despite you was doing it "the wrong way" 😉.
I think your pencil in the Scrawlr Box was broken in some way.

I tried to mix the Chameleon pens in some months ago for Scrawlr Box and I act like you, "This dont work! Is it me or the pen who is chap!?!" 😉

I was just talking about these with a friend on tuesday! This sort of thing is bound to happen, bug at least the colours were a bit more usable than the brights we got in scrawlr box.
Yes, I agree, and I think its why I'm a little less grouchy about this box...
When I opened my Upcrate box, my first thought was, "Oh no, Gem's heart's going to sink when she sees these Chameleon pens..."
Haha, it seems that you guys think about me a lot when it comes to sub boxes - I'm actually a little more optimistic this time round just because of the colour selection!
I had the chameleon fineliners in scrawlrbox and didn’t like them...but I’m not a fineliners kind of a girl. I actually have I subbed from art boxes now. Just too much the same! I sooo wish artsnacks was a viable option in the U.K. 😞
I remain unconvinced about Chameleon fineliners. It's just something about the general usage of fineliners that seems to not go with the concept of changing color. Generally fineliners are for accents. Or for outlining...not sure why you need to change color midway through. Yes, some people make it work....but yeah...no. I look forward to seeing what you do with this!

Hey Gem, I actually find it refreshing that you don’t love everything that you work with in these art boxes! There are times when I feel that these videos are simply extended advertisements for these companies. I rather like that you didn’t care for the Chamaeleon markers I didn’t care for them either. Wasteful and gimmicky are the two words that come to mind when I think of Chamaeleon markers! I look forward to your landscape, maybe you could stick to one or two imagination colors for the piece ? Well I think trees are probably a given - gnomes, I'm not so sure. I do think that the Dapper Gnomes may actually live in my imaginarium?
