Killers concert in Australia (Hunter Valley - Hope Estate) Ted Sablays guitar solo at the end of this song was amazing, he absolutely crushed it. It was so good that the radio edit doesn't hit the same anymore 😅.
Dave Keuning is a mastermind on guitar. Buts let's be honest, even he couldn't slay Lindsay's rift at the end. No one can touch Dave's rift at the end of Losing Touch but no one can touch Lindsay's at the end of cation. Would love to see him do it live at some point with them
I love both guitarists but losing touch solo > caution solo. Caution as a song is great but the solo is mediocre at best imo. Very basic progression of scales; I’ve heard that type of riff so many times. Very basic late 1970’s to early 1980’s Journey sound. Losing touch solo is very unique and it does way more with less. When I first heard the song in 2009, I thought it was too short. But now that I’m older, I think it is the perfect length. Dave is an extremely underrated emotional guitar player and one of my favorites as far as mainstream emotional guitar playing stars go (he sits right up there with David Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, John Frusciante for me…. To name a few)
Also, I think Dave made it sound pretty much identical to Lindsay’s studio version. It’s not a very emotional nor hard guitar solo. It gets the job done, but I think any intermediate guitar player can replicate that solo note for note and it’s going to sound good if not identical. That said, Lindsay’s work with Fleetwood Mac is very exceptional and that’s when he was at his best. His career still stands the test of time, and he remains as one of the best in the business because of his overall achievements. But again, the caution solo is pretty basic and is just a lot of running scales.
The Killers' "Caution" was a great performance If you're into their music, I have more videos you might enjoy: th-cam.com/play/PLx0KzJc6SKYCPnJ3AGE6vXnoPTwYojOHv.html

Nice recording. I really like caution but I'll be honest that song doesn't warrant that kind of pyro
