Ours too. My job as a kid was to cut the newspaper and thread onto string.We didn't have an inside loo till I was 12 when we moved from a colliery house to our first council house.😆

Hi Kim, please be careful, the kitchen roll is much thicker than toilet paper and will block your toilet, I know because it happened to me when someone other than me put kitchen paper down the loo after wiping the window sill down in the cold weather. Please take care and stay safe.

I remember when I was a kid in Halifax, my mum and dad were not well off but we didnt know that as kids. I can remember my mum cutting up the tissue type paper that you get in dress making patterns. She told us that the factory that made toilet paper was closed and there was a shortage of toilet paper...I was only a kid so I believed her. Now as an adult I realise, she had done this because we had run out of money!!

Back in 96 when I moved from Sweden to Manchester all this dinner and tea talk got me confused, I'd be like "but when is lunch?" 😆😆 I must say that I love the unfiltered tasting of vegetable snacks on camera, guess those wont break your diet 😉

Wow we, i've just done the very same thing. r.e. toilet roll. Stacks of the big name brands asking roughly £1 a roll. Bought a pack of 2 kitchen roll, will saw 'em in half, so will get 4 rolls for 50p a roll !! Just come across ya love, i do'nt know ya name, but do ya remember Pie Hockeys in t'market ? That tin of peas reminded of it, he used to make the best mushy peas in all the world !

Iv been having g alot of stir fry Kim cartons of stir fry veg with some oil stir fry oil delicious and quick to cook and healthy and a lot of supermarkets always have them reduced as well worth a look one pan wonder takes two mins to Cook could even mix some noodles or rice in with it xxx

I'd lost well over three stone, and put a few pounds back on - but only a few, and my clothes are still loose, so it's not too bad. My brother gave me some diabetic chocolate and biscuits for Christmas, so once I can get through those, I'll be back to eating what's become my norm - which is mainly having one meal a day that's just salad. We used to call the meals dinner and tea. But then I went to school and work, so it changed to lunch and tea or, if I was going out in the evening, lunch and dinner. I've never called it supper (never quite sure about that, to be honest!). I'm like you, in that I hate the heat of summer. But I love spring. (And I'm also burning candles/melts that are less winter-smelling.)

I'm a Kiwi living in Glasgow and despite living here for many years, I've never heard that expression (always crack up when you say it). My grandad was a Yorkshireman and used to use all sorts of great expressions - he used to say he was 'popping out for a spell' and for years (when I was very young!) I thought he was a magician😂. I am Allergic to wheat barley rye gluten and lactose caffeine so l hate gluten. Free bread but the bagels are nice marks Spencer do this gluten. Free cheese beetroot sandwich which is lovely my daughter and l went there nit sure if they would have something to eat but these seeded bread they used tasted nice.

When l was a kid the outside loo had newspapers cut into squares put on a string the inside loo had that horrible Izal loo roll

Please try Not to use kitchen roll in place of toilet paper as it’s known to block the toilets doesn’t disintegrate as easy the kitchen paper 🤞👍
