Great video! Hopefully this crossing remains with the bells for a long time. Also probably one of the few crossings to have both halogen wigwags and bells.
freebrickproductions Thanks. Unfortunately, although not that old, these halogens are being replaced on the 27th May. I am planning another trip here again so I can film some more closures. I don't know what's happening to the bells.
Those halogens look really bright! I wonder if they'll replace the bell with a sounder too... Some crossings should be designated as historical and not just have everything ripped out and replaced with new tech. It's a shame these will go soon :/
These halogens were put in around 2015 I believe (not entirely sure) so they were some of the last "Unipart Rail" halogens to be installed. Having not only been active for 10 years, NR decide they're 'no longer fit for the railway' which is why they're going 27th May. I'm heading back here in April to take a few more vids.
Absolutely great Crossing!!!!👍🏻😄 Love the bells, bright Halogens and new Barriers!!

There's three level crossings in Sandwich. Did you manage to film the main one next to the train station?
It's been a while since I've been to a level crossing *XD*
Video filmed at 18:04
Those SPX barriers look new
They're newish. They were here back in October 2017.
You should try to get one of the halogens when they downgrade them to LED.
Chuttlely Downgrade, so true!
I'll try. That's if I get there before morthren :P :P
DOWNgrade?
no dislikes!
it is the best video, then.
It must be 😉
Do a video of the new leds
Filmed it already, video uploading in the next couple of weeks so watch this space 😎

HALOGENS AND BELLS ARE A GOOD COMBINATION
They are indeed, but there's little to none of such a crossing left
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel yup
Are those unipart rail halogens
Yeah I think they were. Installed around 2015 so they were only a couple of years old
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel sounds as if the bells are in the barrier
