You got a good winter setup there. Crazy what some of us will put ourselves through just for the sake of playing with gear and getting to sleep a night in the woods, even if it doesn't result in much actual sleep.
my son and i will be going to maroon-snowmass in the end for April. i am guessing our conditions will be very similar to yours. we are doing two nights near willow lake. thanks for taking the time to share your trip.
Mark Thomas Hobbies April can definitely bring some big snow, but it's been a pretty weak winter this year. Have fun on your trip, it's a beautiful area!
This was a most enjoyable and inspirational video, thank you so much for your efforts to create this! In the off season, without permits for the designated sites, do you have to do anything for overnight parking (at Bear?)
Rodney Clang glad you liked the vid! Even without a permit you still register with the rangers (or self register at the box by their office). You keep part of that little form and toss it on your dashboard so they know you are out there.

Man I took one look at that cirque and thought "he is in for a long, cold night!" I admire anyone who has the stones to get out and sleep in a tent in those conditions. Been there, done that, had too close of a call once. The margin of error and comfort level arent my cup of tea. Good production on your videos. What camera are you using?
