The country looks so incredibly beautiful but I would be always worried about bears if I lived there! They are magnificent creatures but I am pleased that I don't have to worry about meeting one when I go out into the countryside in the UK. Really enjoyed the story. Thank you for sharing :)

Omg omg omgosh! That bear is your family!...heck you even look like a bear kind of! I've been harvesting poles for building a crow style tipi and in my tipi book they said it's a good thing and a blessing to have your family walk across the tipi cover before you put it up the first time. So that bear was just a relative coming late to give the tipi blessing!

I have a Bear Story that’s True. Some May not believe but I know it as true and the lady are neighbor who lived beside me does too.Well it started are neighbors dog got loses and ran down the road in the dark.I heard from up the hill where I lived and ran down to help, well as I went down the road I saw the little dog it took off back home.Well as it did a car was coming the dog was running right for it I was in the road right beyond it waving my hands to stop her but she kept on coming.I saw the dog was going to get hit.I let out a Scream that I never heard before from me.It was so deep and loud. The dog went right under the middle off the car and out the back never got hit.I went up to the side of the car she had her window down and stoped.I could see on her face she new exactly what she was doing.I said to her you saw him you saw me how could you,you are Pathetic human being I said, her husband sitting next to her with his head down. Then I said I know you and if I see you Speeding down this road again you will have Police knocking on your door, then I told her get out of here. Then I walked over to the woman’s house where her dog ran away around there house and her kids where trying to get him.Her house light lit up the front yard where we where standing then out from the right side of me 10 feet away a Big Black Bear came running like full running pasted right in front of me and her.But you could see thought it.I was like wow 😳 then I saw she was watching it too.But she said nothing and I’m like did you just see a Bear she would not look at me and just said yes then I said did you see though it, she said yes then walked off did not want to talk about it.I did not know her well but new she was very Religious Christian.I was like that was Awesome and wanted to talk more about it.I walked home in the dark and I was glad I tried to help even though I never got a Thank you.Long as that dog got home ok.Wild but I still believe what I saw.But wonder way ?

Grizzly's are no joke , but attacks on humans are rare. Black bears are the ones to fear. There are 9 times as many and they kill people every year. Common sense and good camp manners always helps. Plus since I'm already armed to the teeth for Bf , what's to worry. Carrie has the voice for story telling. Soothing , man a back rub and a story . I'd be in La-La land . Peace

Griz are no joke. It’s the ones that you don’t see that should scare you. Really depends where you live. Every year there are more people mauled by grizzlies than black bears where I live. What do you carry for BF?

@@mattp7027 I converted my Glock 20 , 10 mm into a 9x25 dillon all you have to do is buy the barrel. . uses same clips ,springs, etc. Swap barrels , done. The dillon shoots a 9mm bu;llet out of a 10 mm shell. The dillon is over 2000 fps = terminanal velocity I wanted the dillon as soon as I heard , you could buy the ammo online. Get hit in the arm ? calf muscle , back , ? Shock kills more people than bullets. I also always take my shotgun or ar -10 308 , to name a few. I take no chances with them . 0 % Peace

@@thebigfellar7178 Nice. I have a 454 casull for inside the tent or just hiking and carry a 12 gauge 3" Mag with rifled slugs during archery season. I usually have the bow and my wife has the bugle and 12 gauge.

@@mattp7027 That's funny , and at the same time that'l work . Great idea the bugle . I got rid of my 454 , I'm eye balling a 480 Ruger. 4 1/2 barrel ,carry it in a shoulder rig. Just a small bit of advice , no offence intended . Use No#4 buck as your first shot , aim for his front leg or legs. An Animal no matter how big or small is always thinking self presentation , you hurt it's feet or legs , it's gone. Been far and wide. I was taught to shoot for the front legs , hardly any if any meat on them below the knee. Me and my 16 ga. single barrel , put a lot of game in the freezer., a lot.I carry 4 buck ,slug ,4 buck ,4 buck , slug. I carry all kinds of guns , but it's because I have them . My pillow gun is a ruger sp101 2 inch snub 357. It gives me confidence . Houge finger grips . !8 years under my pillow , just a touch makes me smile. I would never trust my life or family's life to an auto. Nice meeting you , You should go to my tiny site ,I actually have a real Bf on there . Peace.

The Big Fellar I appreciate the advice, but I have a ton of experience with grizzlies. I guided moose hunts in Alaska for 11 years and have dealt with charging bears before. The worse thing in the world is a pissed off wounded brown or grizzly bear. I shoot to end it, not wound it’s leg. This is from actual boots on the ground piss in the pants experience. 100% agree on your pistol choice. A lot of guys I worked with started going to Glock 20’s. You can never have too much gun. I just don’t like the looks of the 10mm. Ballistically, it looks great, but lacks the energy of a big bore revolver, or better yet, a short 12 gauge.
