@@njc6985 I’m very surprised that no team other than the Lakers wanted to pick him up the year they won the championship. Forget about having shooting 3s, he will definitely giving you a double double and a defensive presence any given night
“As a laker fan…” he waited till he got to the lakers and stunk it up. He was literally the worst center in the league that year. I think he did it on purpose to get Kobe back for serving his ass in the finals
Love Dwight, but “dominated an entire decade”? He was drafted in 2004 and didn’t become a real star until 2006, and by the time he was on the Lakers it was 2012. He was still a Top 10 Big, until the end of his time with the Rockets, but after the Lakers he was never “dominant” like that. And then if you look at his run as the “best big in the league”, it was also the worst era of big men and, at best, at best was only putting up Mutombo numbers, so how “dominant” was he?
@johnnyblingg a decade meaning of span of 10 years. Not necessarily an actual decade. His 9 years in Orlando he was All-NBA 8 times, All-Defensive Team 5 times, lead the league in rebounding 5 times, and won 3 DPOY. Oh, all while averaging around 20 ppg. There was not a more dominant big on both ends of the court during that span. And that can not be denied or disputed.
@@mitchellbrock3463 You’re rattling off his career accolades like I misspoke. He was one of my favorite players growing up, so I know how good Dwight was. That’s why I feel comfortable letting you know he wasn’t “dominant for a decade”. Dwight got his first 3rd team All-NBA selection his third season (like i said) and from that season onwards he made 1st team All-NBA, while in Orlando. In total, bringing it to 5 All-NBA seasons, during his Magic reign, and not 8 like you claim. The other 1st team All-NBA was his first year in LA with Kobe and Nash, and then got 2nd/3rd team All-NBA on the Rockets. No one is confused about the force that Dwight Howard was, in his prime, but he wasn’t “dominant” like you claim, especially not for no decade. Sir a decade is 10 years, I understood already that you didn’t mean ten years consecutively, but even with that in mind, the 8 All-NBAs (or 8 ASG selections), is still not ten. So this “decade of dominance” you said Dwight had never happened. At his best, he was dominant (defensively) for those 5 seasons in Orlando, everywhere else he was floating around Top 5-10. The reason why Howard’s career isn’t remembered as fondly is because he was supposed to have a career in the realm of a Shaq or Wilt or Moses Malone, but instead wound up as a more athletic Mutombo. Dwight and Mutombo have almost identical career resumes. This is not a diss at Mutombo, who is not a scrub, but just to show the gap in expectations that Dwight failed to live up to. It is also worth mentioning that his “prime years” coincided with the NBA being the weakest era for big men.

I don't know why he isn't in the NBA, he still has something left to give a team at least off the bench. He really got a raw deal when he hurt his back, he deserved better from the media
It’s crazy when you think about it because not only was Dwight dominant and a star , he was very marketable back then. Idk what he did but he’s getting black balled 🤣
I like that there giving Dwight these moments of acknowledgment cuz, Dwights not gonna speak up on his legacy, Dwight is easy going and I also pick up that he also has a VERY honest personality.
Here’s my argument on the Top 75: Dwight could’ve easily made it if he didn’t injure his back and listened to Shaq’s advice on scoring in the post. I think he got overwhelmed with the criticisms and comparisons he had with Shaq. Working with Patrick Ewing and Hakeem could’ve made him a complete player with and without injuries.
Love the Knuckleheads Podcast! Love D Miles and Q.... Damn how calm and well tempered Darius Miles is when Quentin is making some annoying remarks. Some stoic shit right here ... I wish I was like that :)
Still, all good. Best chemistry.
WORLD CHAMPION Dwight Howard! Thank you from Laker Nation.
Damn season wrapped up? I got spoiled and thought we were going to ride the summer out. 💪 💯 🔥
You guys have been doing great this season and you actually have interviews for the hoopers. Thank you 🙏🏾
Q. Rich always talking shit to D. Miles 😂😂😂😂😂😂 that’s true friendship
Going back and forth like they related. Real brothers. 🤣💯
DMiles got the gift of gab. That is a special fraternity straight out high school.
Season 9 was great went by fast i like it
Finally dudes showing Dwight the respect he deserves I grew up watching Dwight I know how dominate he was
Need Joe Johnson and Josh Smith on the podcast
Definitely Joe Johnson 🔥
I don't know why he isn't in the NBA, he still has something left to give a team at least off the bench. He really got a raw deal when he hurt his back, he deserved better from the media
Love what y'all doing. I watched the Tina Thompson one last night. I'm a big fan. @Q what up Joe you gotta make the DRose one happen
" We from the hood hood put us around some weights somebody is going to get hurt" Darius Miles.
How the hell did AD make the 75 team over Dwight 😂
Recency bias is a mf lol
He definitely a top 75. Honestly, I think he should have been top 75 above giannis.
It’s crazy when you think about it because not only was Dwight dominant and a star , he was very marketable back then. Idk what he did but he’s getting black balled 🤣
Damn I luv Dwight Howard as a person just as much as a basketball player truly respected
I like that there giving Dwight these moments of acknowledgment cuz, Dwights not gonna speak up on his legacy, Dwight is easy going and I also pick up that he also has a VERY honest personality.
They gotta get D Rose!!!
Mannnnn...
1:05:55 Hahahahahahahahahaha even Dwight was involved to this “is Q a defender” debate. DMIles is a nonbeliever man 😂😂😂
Aye I appreciate y’all for really goin hard and givin’ us this content. 💪🏻 Stoked for season 10!
Disrespected this man by not putting him on the 75 all time list.
Dwight is a LEGEND!
He should’ve made it over came and ad
Dame **
He would have made it if he was well liked that’s the only reason he didn’t make it
@@Kirbystare1992 he’s definitely well liked. It’s just that his critics especially Shaq had high hopes on him.
I'm From Cincinnati y'all need Ron Harper on the podcast
He called Darius miles highschool numbers pedestrian lmao I’m crying
Please get Kwame Brown on the podcast, that will be the realest, truest, rawest, and most entertaining guest y’all will have so far!
Why so he can cry and blame everyone SAS,and others he go personal on.
Don't think Jordan would like that
Facts
@@anitriakimmons9673 they just had Kenyon Martin on. And he also said f@@k SAS
@@tjones617 Difference he is not crying and whining everyday like 7 ft crybaby Kwame
Man, Q rich was on one in this episode. My man's would not 🤐 lol.
Maaaaan! Fareeeel Fareal 🤦🏾♂️
BIG FACTS‼️‼️SMFH 😭🤦🏾♂️😮💨
Love the Knuckleheads Podcast! Love D Miles and Q.... D Miles has became such a great interviewer and ask's unique questions I feel Q should try and cut down on some many interjections and just wait and allow D Miles to navigate and finish his question completely. Still love them both though and hope they do this podcast for years and years to come.
Q does realize that people tune in for the guest right?
He talk to fuckin much man
sometimes bruh, I don't think so.....I'm sayin tho, smh.
1:05:11 Q finally got his props for defense and now you can't tell him nothing!
Big ups to Dwight he hella humble 💯
When they talk high school days it’s the best
