I'm so grateful for the Harry Potter series. Those books started my love for books. I was in a bad place and just as I thought my life could never get any better, there came Hogwarts. After that my love grew for books and has continued to this day. I owe so much to those books

+Pien You could always go to the library, and then decide which series are worth purchasing after reading the books! That way, you'll own copies of your favorites, but don't need to waste money on books that you might not even end up liking (:

I completely agree with your statements on Harry Potter! I hate reading fantasy but Harry Potter takes up such a huge part of my life and I just love it so much.

Cress, in my opinion, was the best in the lunar chronicles. The story just grew so much, and it was hard to not like the main characters.

Heir of Fire is my favorite in the Throne of Glass series. I agree it is a bridge book but so much did happen. It was such a turning point for the direction of the series IMO.

I really really like the House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast, I enjoyed them so much. I also liked The chemical garden trilogy by Lauren DeStefano, it made me think.

In the beginning she said how she likes series better because they are not like trilogies or stand alones because they are longer and you can never expect what will happen

I’ve read Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, Hunger Games, Divergent, Maze Runners, Twilight, Trials of Apollo, Harry Potter, School for Good and Evil, Spy School, Keeper of the Lost Cities, Land of Stories, Fablehaven, the Selection, and am currently on the sixth book of Mortal Instruments. Love them all! Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus are my favs because they were like the first GOOD series that I read!

In my opinion, the Raven Boys quartet was a huge build up only to be let down in the end when they spilled that the 'legend' was just that, a legend, and they were running around for nothing. My favorite in this series would be Dream Thieves because the mystery surrounding the silent guy was interesting.
Would you recommend the Harry Potter series for ALL ages? I've seen and loved the movies, but for some reason have never read the books... Also p.s. - The Throne of Glass series is the absolute BEST of all time! Also, is there any romance in the last Rick Riordan series you showed? And totally keep reading the mortal instruments series, especially the spin offs! They really are all amazing!

You definitely need to read Maggie Stiefvater's other works if you like The Raven Cycle. The Wolves of Mercy Falls series is absolutely fantastic - The Books of Faerie series is great as well, not as strong as her other works but still a fun and quick read!

The finishing school series doesn't spoil too much for her adult series. You just meet some characters earlier on, but you don't really realize their importance during the finishing school. It's nice background for the adult series.
Im currently ready the orderof the phoenix and im not gonna lie im finding it hard to get through i dont know if that because im in a slump or what ever but I actually loved the first 4 books especially the prisoner of azkaban and that was my favourite book

First 3 books of the selection series I love I got the heir read it & I hate the daughter I forgot her name & I got the crown & just couldn't finish it I read maybe 40 something pages in & I didn't even want to finish it bc I hate her but I love the selection, the elite & the one
at first I hated Eadlyn (the daughter), too but in 'the crown' her character developed nicely and I really enjoyed her love story in the end. but Maxon and America will always be the best ❤

I'm currently reading Cress out of the Lunar Chronicles, and I absolutely love it. I read the first two books within a week to two weeks. The concept behind this series is just so unique and interesting. The characters are also very easy to connect with, and has good character development. A highly recommended read.
I really love the Throne of Glass series, one of my favorite things about it were the characters. I'm a sucker for character development. I've finished reading Queen of Shadows a month ago, and I still find myself thinking about what's going to happen to them, and missing them. I do notice the problems you mentioned though, but for me personally the characters make up for it.
Of the selection of Book Series in this video, I have 3 of the shown collections. Harry Potter, Percy Jackson & The Heroes Of Olympus. I'm not at the finish yet, however I am enjoying the road of reading these and I will motivate myself to keep on going till I reach the end and I will stay positive from start to finish. Finally I find a TH-camr who loves all the series I love. You pronounced Rick Riordan right. You should read Kane Chronicles, Magnus Chase and Trials of Apollo series by Rick Riordan too. They are amazing! There's also A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. I highly recommend it.

With Harry Potter, I never read a single page before a couple of months ago. I didn't watch the movies either so I just knew the basic plot and a few spoilers about people dying. I have no idea why I waited so long but I've just finished Order of the Phonix and am saving up for Half Blood prince and I absolutely love it! It's definitely my favourite series and I really regret avoiding it when I was younger!
You have to read the 'Once Upon A Time' series which are usually retellings of fairy tales featuring a teenaged heroine and it's written by various authors
My most recommended series would be the School for Good and Evil books. I've read the first three and they are brilliant. It's about a school that teaches students how to survive and win fairytales, depending on they're side. It follows two friends that get separated and their story. It had some really famous villains and hero's in it at some points. It's brilliant and always keeps you guessing.

I think I've read all of those series you mentioned, I love a good series. One of my current favourite ongoing series is the Chronicles of St Mary's series by Jodi Taylor, the first one being Just One Damned Thing After Another, it's about time traveling historians and is super funny, really quirky and quite "typically British" which I like (a cup of tea can solve any problem!) I'm also in the middle of a load of series which I need to finish, the Lorien Legacies, Codex Alera, the Dragonian series to name just a few.

I for one love the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan. they are so good. But you will have to read past the first one because some people say that it's kinda slow or something but it don't think so but don't stop reading after the first one just keep going and trust me it gets better.

The Green Rider series by Kristen Britain is an awesome read. The main character Karigan is amazing, strong and unique. Epic fantasy is good.

The Tiger's Curse series has been one of my favorites since I was like 11. I've read it almost 20 times and am actually rereading it again lol(I'm almost 19 now).
