Hi All, just to clarify...You don't pay the opening cost of a base when you set up your company. As you will discover later in the series, you will need to pay this opening cost if you open other bases.
I'm getting more in to x-plane 11, MSFS2020 looks good but missing in a few areas. This set of videos is really helpful, I'm off to get AH2 when the wife wanders off away from the tv, I don't need to remind her of the black hole costs of flight simming haha ;) Have a great day, thanks for posting and again really useful, informative and appreciated.
After buying on early access i finally got round to installing this and it has really given me a reason fly. I have managed to buy another plane and hire my first pilot but there are so many features i don't really understand so this video series is perfect for me. Thanks buddy, subscribed ☺
Hi Kiwi, do you still use AH2 regularly or has your preference shifted to something else? Seen you post Pilot's Life 2 content lately. How do you feel both products compare? Thanks!
Hey Yassy, I'm not using AH 2 as regularly at the moment. You can't really compare the two, they are quite different. In APL v2 you fly airliners for real airliner, earn XP and get promoted up through the ranks, there's no management functionality like in AH2. Just depends what you are into, I like both of them for different reasons
Nice video! I have a question... If I have X-Plane 11 and my friends have FSX can we have a virtual airline together with airhauler2 although I'm in a different simulator?
KM >> Thanks so much for your excellent tutorial, as now I have a reason to frequently fly XP11 again. Ironically, it was my inability to become a professional pilot - vision not good enough - which caused me to terminate my PPL training, as $100 burgers made absolutely no sense to me. And now the Air Hauler 2 app gives me a huge incentive to use XP11 on a regular basis, i.e., building a virtual business model of what would have been.
Bought this today and flown a few cargo mission, it’s very good and adds some purpose to the flights and I like the economy idea too. I’m interested in the VA side of things, will you be covering this? I’d happily join your VA if you star/have one?
This is going to be such a handy series. :) The business of having to use a network mode workaround to avoid crashes with payware aircraft. Does that still apply now? Or has it been patched. I’d rather not mess about, but I did sort of have an idea of having a nice shiny payware plane, each time I got the chance to upgrade in AH2.
Thanks for the series. Question: I'm brand new Air Hauler. Do you HAVE to fly as a "boss"? Can you come in as an employee, especially if you pilot skills are in the "beginner" stage. Thanks again. BTW, I subbed to you...
Hey, thanks for watching. It's mainly set up for you to be a company owner however you can select "Nomad Mode". In this mode you start with no bases etc and you just fly around finding jobs which is kind of like not being a boss. Thanks for the support!
Hi, the best thing to do is to go into the X-Plane Flight configuration (with the TBM selected as the aircraft) and untick the box "start with engines running" . This means the aircraft will start cold and dark. Also, use network mode in AH2 (can select this in the options) as some payware aircraft don't like the AH2 automatic starting process .
Just curious about whether AH2 works in real time or game time? That is to say, if I don't run AH2 for six months then open it, do I now owe back rent for my base and lose reputation like in AH1.
Hi Andrew, yes AH2 uses real time which means if you left a base open you and didn't log in, expenses would still come out. However you could make your base inactive which means no base costs are payable. The best option is to set up passenger routes using computer pilots that create enough income to cover your base expenses. That way you never have to worry.
Hey Kiwi...a bunch of videos here...can you point me to one that addresses AH2 link with FSX? I am on Steam versions of these sims and trying to flight certify on a piper cub. I can fly the cub if I go through FSX but if I try to flight certify through AH2, it loads the cub but none of my xbox 360 controls work. Steam discussion areas show a lot of problem discussion but I dont see my issue and really do not want to be a software engineer....can you help?
Try loading fsx as administrator seperatly as mentioned if you allow ah2 to load it can mess u up other things that use the fsuip program thing. If I allow ah2 to load up fscomander doesn't connect unless I load it as administrator. Worth a try.

pro tip: watch movies on kaldroStream. Been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Albert Jesiah yup, I have been using Kaldrostream for years myself :)

Bought this last night Kiwi, been really looking forward to it. Glad you’re here to go through it. Keep up the good work.
Hey Ryan, hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Love that you decided to make a series of this!
Thanks Annie, it's been really enjoyable putting the series together.

You're welcome. Enjoy :)
thank you, it's a great series about this addon !
i finally decided to buy it. : )
Great video - this looks very interesting. I might have to give it a go
Thanks for watching David

Yes I'm pretty sure VAs extend across all platforms

I will have a go.

Also, I assume it’s compatible with P2ATC & VATSIM?
Hey thanks for watching. Yes definitely will be covering the VA functionality. Considering opening a VA and will let everyone know.
Also, can't see why it wouldn't be compatible with VATSIM etc but would need to test

Hey Grey, not 100% sure, it's something you will need to test out . The other option is to jump on the AH forum and someone will know for sure.
Yep. Guess I’ll start to become a more frequent visitor (or lurker at least) to forums again, now I am rejoining the master race. :)
Hi, nice video. How d'you get this for Xplane ?
You can pick it up here: www.justflight.com/product/air-hauler-2-xplane-windows

Is this version the same as in P3D? All the same content? Thanks
Yep all the same :)
@@KiwiMace thanks mate, bought The Skypark instead though let’s see. AH2 on P3D was great too
Does anyone know if it's possible to start a flight without the plane all powered up? It creates havoc with the TBM 900.

@@KiwiMace Well that's super, thanks for the reply.
does this work with the steam version of xplane 11?.. I tried this years ago, but had nothing but trouble with it.
Definitely does - I use the Steam version of X-Plane 11
Ive flown 3 short haul cargo missions in a row but im still a rank 1 (wannabe) pilot. How are the ranks scaled exactly?

@@KiwiMace really appreciate the videos m8
