I got one for free, put a i7 for the correct socket a gt610 gpu. and added another 8g memory for a total of 16g. as well as a 500g ssd. And this PC plays G.o.W Ragnorok easily with 60+ fps. and never has gotten hot after hours of playing, So, in short, you are sadly mistaken on your review of this hidden gem of a office PC.
You can use a way better GPU. Just buy a PCI riser cable to change the position of the GPU. You can also use the SATA power to power a GPU to use something with more juice.
I picked up an HP Pro 4300 for $15 a week ago and have already bought an I7 3770 for $20 on eBay. 16 gigs of DDR3 1600mhz ram is dirt cheap, and there are a bunch of low profile video cards, but the limiting factor is the 240 watt power supply.
I recently started a "Gamer Zone" for events and birthdays with a friend and another friend gave us one of these PCs for free (AMD FM2) and sure, it isn't the best but you know what it can run without any hassle? emulators, so I installed Linux and it became our main PC for emulators for events and festivals, we upgraded the ram and maybe eventually the GPU, it runs anything up to Gamecube / Wii, if we upgrade the GPU maybe we could try Wii U but so far it has been amazing, way better and less riskier than bringing out our own PCs also because it is really small it is easy to carry around
Great analysis on these sff computers... Yep! i love the old games for a little entertainment so my HP Compaq only got a GT 730 and so 720 fps in most games and thats it ,cheap and fun!! ....so thank you for the big effort in explaining what these are all about great work !!
I was able to get the 6305 with a 16GB RAM, CPU, and low profile graphic's card upgrade for around 200 dollars altogether (monitor included). With some extra engineering and software compatibility, like Linux, you can min/max the performance a decent amount. It's obviously not going to beat my Titan GT77, but it's still fun to mess with, and it doesn't have to be the best to still be fun.
Wrong about this pc i have a free HP 8000 with a C2Q 9450 / 4gb ram and a Quadro K1200 for Windows XP gaming and it does a fantastic job, also a Optiplex 7010 i7 3770 with 16gb and a GTX 750ti for Windows Vista i used components i had laying around so both costed about 20€ for the i7 and Q9450 upgrade
I have the 6305sff, and warnong to the wose, it is a severely limited version of the 6300. It has very few cpu options, only takes low profile gpus. Upgradability is hard limited to old AMD cpus of which none will give a good improvement
Can we just change the cabinet and install a gtx 1650 and install a new psu , it supports i7 3770 so now this will be a decent gaming machine am i right?
this is the perfect "anti" gaming pc, all the videos showing off rgb and water cooling for "cutting edge" gaming, but arent really amounting to much in the end

yeah bro I think you can get a low profile gpu like a r5 240 low profile readeon oem gpu for $10-15. You can play minecraft/teraria and other light games at low settings 40fps. Thats what im running rn

For 200$ you got scammed even with the included monitor assuming it's also used. That PC itself is around 60$ in second hand shops where i live
