Hello. I have a 550-206 nl Hp Desktop. From some months I can hear a noise from a fan when I start the PC. After some minutes the noise ends. What's the fan that produces noise?
At 2:34... That really small and thin cable you are holding and say its wifi.....is it two cables or just one cable? I replaced my power supply and had no connection to bluetooth or wifi. Then a friend told me to connect that cable back, but i cant seem to find the other cable to connect it. Was it one or two cables you had?
Two cables for WiFi. It has White & Black cable. Look at your WiFi card, it should say 1 & 2 with white/black triangle icon. Match the WiFi cable account to WiFi card. Make sure the WiFi card is connected to your motherboard. Hope this helps.
UberGeeks i have the same computer you are using in this video. And i only saw one black cable. I connected the black cable to on part of the wirless card. I dont see a black or what triangle anywhere on the wireless card
Some WiFi card only comes with 1 cable. After you have installed the cable, did you check the device manager for WiFi card driver ? Double check your BIOS, for HP, right after you power on with HP logo, keep pressing F10 and go into BIOS. Check to see if WiFi is enabled. If all pass and still no WiFi, something else is wrong. Quick fix - is to get USB WiFi adapter. Pretty much plug & play. Has better distance and faster bandwidth compare to built in WiFi card. amzn.to/2z6DdIR Good Luck !
Can you upgrade to a different MOBO altogether, but same form factor? It's just really old, and it's like to keep it modern. Obviously I'd upgrade everything else too.
I just got a new motherboard, and I have two of those WiFi cables. I can’t figure out where they go. Do you think you can point me in the general direction?
Check what the power consumption for the gpu would be, most modern gaming GPUs take about 300 to at most 500 watts. To be safe I'd buy a 750 watt PSU power supply.
I guess a better question would be : where exactly are each cables coming from. I know the black one comes from towards the front of the case. Does the other come from the same location or different?
hello, yesterday I opened the computer to clean it and clean it and that and when I put it another time to use it started beeping 5 times and changed the ram clean the processor and nothing remains the same, do not know what to do, see if you can help : is the hp pavlion 550
Danii I bought some new ram and both of them clicked when I put them in but my computer still keeps beeping and I noticed that none of my USB ports work
Should have cleared the CMOS first.. it is 90% likely that this motherboard was okay. See Mike None's comment below. I've run into this before, thought the mobo was bad when a simple clearing of the BIOS later fixed it.
HELP ME PLEASE 🙏!!! Recently I brought a custom made PC everything runs fine. Yesterday when I restart the computer, there is no display. Computer is running but no display, the led light 💡 on the monitor the flashes. I watch all the tutorials, read the Forums 📖 etc but still couldn't find the solution towards my problem. If anyone know the solution please 🙏 help me .... Thank you
Hi, you may want to try removing the RAM. So take out all the RAMs. And put one RAM back one at a time. If the RAM is not able to fix the display, more likely it might be your motherboard graphic chipset. So in other word, the motherboard is bad.
do you happen to know what kind of graphics card i can use that is compatible with this mother board?
PCIe graphic card will do. Make sure the power supply has enough power for your graphic card replacement.
You could try a gt 1030

Might be exhaust fan from the back.

Do you see WiFi card on the motherboard?
Hey dude. The thin black wires that you touch next to audio. You said this is for WiFi. Do they belong somewhere or are they ok to hang free?
If you do not have WiFi card on the motherboard, you have can the cable hang free.

I fixed it. I removed CMOS for a day and put back ( first I removed for 5mins & didn't work). Now it runs well. Thank you for help !! :)
