This video intentionally gives a false impression. Yesterday the Ukrainian Army was routed. Avdiivka is now Avdyevka. Why isn't DW covering that?

They are, but it was clear it was going to fall 3 months ago, the only thing that was open was a encirclement by the Russians, which they failed to do.
They didn’t even get routed they withdrew from the meat grinder after inflicting a higher loss on Russian central army than the battle of bakhmut; yes Ukraine is suffering but its doing its damn best at keeping Russia losing more than they gain.

The statement of one of the soldiers is very interesting. "You learn on the job"- that means that raw recruits get shoved to the frontlines without prior training, and then try to learn the necessary stuff on the fly or die trying.

well yeah we all know most of the conscripts under martial law have little training. the NATO trained soldiers only account for about 5% of the total mobilised troops.
@@KennyNGA but that's not true because only a very small percentage of the UAF soldiers are NATO trained. about 70,000 out of 1.1 million. it's also important to note that NATO has never even came against a conventional army like Russia anyway, so what are they teaching? i don't know... NATO doctrine is based on combined arms which Ukraine doesn't have, they only have ground forces and these forces are countered by Russian doctrine which is artillery based.

10:1? Source? There are thousands of dead Russians in the fields around Avdiivka. On your ratio, there are tens of thousands of dead Ukrainians in Avdiivka.
Are you dense? Of course they suffer 1 to 12, have you seen the frontline being static for the longest time while Moscovians are using 12 times manpower and vehicles etc? How you think this happens without those being destroyed? You think they magically retreat back and have 0 impact on the battlefield? It's the Moscovians that are attacking mostly, they do it with meat and metal waves, with marginal to none movement on the whole frontline. The attacking side always has much more losses, but Moscovia doesn't care so much, that these losses are even much higher than expected from attacks (and Ukrainians when attacking do it very smartly, and also against Moscovians that are unprepared and with bad equipment - so they themselves aren't even subject to this loss ratio when attacking).
@@ussassu This sounds nice, but the inconsistency is that Ukraine and Russia have a comparable number of soldiers with a two-year mobilization in Ukraine 24/7 versus only a two-month mobilization in Russia.
An artillery ratio of 10 to 1 is not in your favor usually means that the losses will be 10 to 1 not in your favor

@@Benz2533 but Zaluzhny can't rotate troops out when he has no troops to replace them/ Zaluzhny wanted to withdraw from Avdiivka but Zelenksyy would not let him. Syrsky refused the Russian offer to withdraw on the 14th and instead made those troops trapped for 3 days more in Avdiivka with no exit road and no cover.
