  • The title is clickbait i know its not FAKE , Its alternative brands.
The was scrolling through my phone when I saw an add for Lego from TEMU. I wanted to test it out and tell you guys if it’s worth it or not. I actually really enjoy these alternative brands. And if you are a Lego purist most of these sets you can get Lego bricks for on Bricklink.
Hope you enjoy the video! Please subscribe. I really appreciate it 😊.
    Never stop building!

It’s only fake LEGO if they add the LEGO branding to the studs etc., these are not fake, they are simply alternative brands.

However, I would argue that you can also call it fake Lego if it copies a design, which happens a lot.

@@AFT3RDAY5 What was learned from the LEGO v Lepin case is that it's only considered fake lego when a company uses lego's artwork or otherwise attempts to deceive consumers into thinking they are buying actual lego. copied designs aren't necessarily fake lego. The way I see it, it's never been illegal to buy another company's bricks to build any of the sets I want on my own that Lego freely shares building instructions for; if another company wants to bundle all the pieces for a particular build for me instead of having to part out a set and buy the pieces separately, well, that's just better for all consumers interested as far as I'm concerned.

@@AFT3RDAY5If only there were legal distinctions and patents that would quantify that specifically... Oh wait... There are... And as it happens that particular one is no longer in effect. 🤯
You wouldn't have something against a free market or anything? You know, cornerstone of capitalism... Competition to breed innovation...

WM Blocks makes great figures. Temu feels pricey though, these are only a buck at most. But mostly the knock offs feel like a lot of clone bricks like mega bloks used to feel back in 2017. Basically, it’s for when your budget is tight. There are themes and accessories LEGO will never make so that’s the give and take. But also know what you’re buying and keep your expectations real and be ready to handle these like gunpla sometimes. But yeah your money your choice. The blind hate these things get is unjustified.

I love Lego, like I've been buying lego sets since I was a kid, but man I don't get the fake lego hate all over the place. Lego is fuckin expensive. So personally, I can't blame people who buy knockoffs.
Though with fake lego comes risks, like poor quality parts, difficult fitting, and poor quality minifigs. But that's a risk everyone should be willing to accept buying a cheaper product.

I agree! I love Lego too. It’s a lot of money. Some knock offs are great! Especially minifigures or sets that you know Lego might not make. I do love this breaking bad set that I did get!

Brands like CaDa or Bluebrixx have the same quality tho. Go Bricks are even better imo.

Take the red pill folks. I buy much LEGO, and I buy much non-LEGO. I don't notice a significant quality difference in the bricks.
The non-Lego gang seems to have much more selection on Technic-type kits if that's your thing. None of it ripoffs of Lego or MOCs as far as I can see.
When they do ripoffs of official Lego sets, I buy when the official sets are retired and scalpers are selling them for outrageous prices.
If they rip off a MOC from Rebrickable or whatnot, I buy the design from the MOC creator if I buy the ripoff.
This Van is inspired. I bought one also.

Its very much not fake Lego, they are named brands, they are alternative brands of brick building systems, if they put the name Lego on the box or pretended to be Lego it would be fraud and a criminal offence to do so, which they are clearly not doing. I'm not a lawyer but it could be you could be seen to be causing brand defamation, wouldn't want to see someone unwittingly get in trouble. Probably best to call them what they actually are alternative brick building systems.

My partner got an adorable set off Temu that looks like a Friends set at an Asian restaurant with a cat mascot on the roof...it's great! Only problem is that is 2/3's the scale of Lego, so it is a bit smaller. It doesn't look bad next to the Noodle Shop if you want forced perspective, but still....

I sort of resent my brand loyalty towards Lego, especially because there are so many cool IPs they will never work with, but also because I hate being a fan of a company, but real Lego has never let me down, unlike the imitators. I think it helps protect Lego's brand image as well. It's a slippery slope to becoming the mixed bag that is Funko Pop. I think this is the niche that Rebrickable and the like fill so well!

I agree with you! But lego is just different quality.. there is nothing that comes close to the quality. Got some stuff from mega bricks! I like the Pokémon line they do! And it’s great quality! But here and there are some parts where the quality isnt there.

I understand that Lego don't want to make horror or violent stuff for kids but why not make sets like the breaking bad one in the 18+ sets for adult it's doesn't make sense.

You really need to rename/redo this video as a review of Lego Alternatives. None of these sets claim to be Lego so are in no way Fake.
CADA, TGL, Mould King to name a few alternative brands. None are Lego Fakes

You keep saying it’s fake Lego have you looked into the product to see if they have their own brand Lego is not the only buildable building blocks out there there’s other companies with other names research it again don’t mean to offend no one

In this video I look at bricks that are from Temu, and the breaking bad set from Veux Bricks. It’s off brand Lego. That would be the best way to describe it, or customs. I do think Temu is not the best quality. I do enjoy customs even from sellers from whatnot and etc.

Get over it people. Lego's patent expired in the US in 1978 and in other countries in the 90's and 2000's. Lego is still the best quality building bricks by far. Like most big companies, they get carried away with their position but compitation is legal. I bought about 1,200 tiles and plates from Webrick. Good quality, not perfect, 15 or so had small scratches but so would used bricks at Bricklink. They cost me about a third as it would cost to buy Lego brand and my MOC looks awesome. Can't tell the difference. Other brand copies of licenced sets...that gets a litte murcky. A set that costs $200 may be unatainable by many. Should that child be told that's only for rich kids? I'd bend to give my child a set he or she so desperatly wanted and still be able to afford to pay the rent.
