Very nice mate just a few hours ago 'diecast Resurrection' uploaded a video where he used styrene to make a trailer and mention yourself as inspiration
That looks absolutely superb. Like most model car customisers, you must have a selection of 'beaters' - cars too manky to look nice. Have you ever thought of making them into 'Bangers'? You could then make a transporter, with a HIAB for them, from something like the old Matchbox Ford Transit pick up. I'm always amazed at the work that goes into the cars that race at Banger meetings - the safety gear, obviously, but some have spectacular paint jobs that might last only seconds on the track.
I do have some and have a few old 70's Matchbox transporters. I too often went to banger racing when I was younger and I keep saying I'll take my boys. Maybe I'll go and see if it sparks some interest. Ironically all the old beat up ones I want to restore and yet the new stuff I want to turn into rat look cars :)
It's my younger brother's passion - he goes to meetings all over the UK. He used to have a racing licence, and also built cars for a local team. I've gone when I can, and it's a damn good afternoon or evening's entertainment. And priced sensibly, too.
Nice work! Speaking as someone who has a hard enough time just not breaking stuff some days, it's always such fun to watch someone who can actually _make_ things. :) That fixed rear door on the pre-modification model reminds me of an Abarth-tuned Fiat 600 with a permanently fixed open rear engine cover that they had on _Top Gear_ one time. That one really _did_ double as a spoiler, so at least there's precedent.
Oh I have days where everything I do just falls to pieces LOL. I recall a VW Beetle somewhere, there's probably loads, with the rear panel open and used as a spoiler too.
You have given me inspiration to do this myself but on my tight budget my current attempts are doing wraps with electrical tape, which works...sort of lol As someone who still plays with the cars it’s nice to see that playablity(that’s a word, right?) is not sacrificed, eg rolling wheels and load up trailers
There are literally not enough superlatives to describe the skill and workmanship on display here. Your work is exquisite and clearly so well thought out and executed, simply amazing and just seems to get ever better. Top Work Fella!👍👍👍👍
..... and all is well with the world again. lol It amazes me that the build process is remarkably straight forward, yet the finished model is really quite stunning. I would have considered that to be way beyond my skillset, but having seen this, I'm half tempted to give it a shot myself. The Superdry paint is "da bomb!" Absolutely awesome. As ever, top job and thanks for sharing it with us.
As always Pete many thanks for the support and watching. Anythings possible, I waffled on a bit again in this one but more to show that, especially with the putty, it looks rubbish when you're doing it but it comes good in the end. Glad you liked the Superdry, there'll be a few more of that livery popping up.
Wow! Your modeling (design & implementation) is, of course, world class but your cinematography, editing, and narration are just mind-bogglingly great! Thanks for the super channel.
Words can't describe how genius of a vehicle you have created. Absolutely amazing job.🏆 Don't give out a first class cup to anyone but you deserve it!👍🏻👍🏻
They say all good things come to those who wait and this video was definitely worth waiting for. Great to see yet another original idea beautifully crafted in a seemingly effortless fashion (I need a video where you've accidentally glued your fingers together)! Just the idea to use 'U' section to create the tie down loops is what makes you a master of manipulating styrene. The decal work is yet again top notch. Keep doing what you're doing whenever you can!
Just... breathtaking work! The attention to detail is mesmerising By far, this is the best 1/64 scale customisation channel on TH-cam! You Sir, deserve at least 1M subscribers. Can't wait for the next video.
WOW that's a great comment to wake up too. its lovely feedback like this that keeps me going. I'd love more time to do more but I'm a fair few years off retirement just yet LOL! All the very best :)
Well done on this one, I always enjoy watching your process. I would enjoy watching more of the sanding and finishing processing as well as the paint and decal application, even if you've shown these steps before they're often the most satisfying. Thanks for the great content!
Thank you.... I will certainly keep the detailed processes in. As times gone on I've washed over some.of the steps I've done before so I do apologise. I will make sure not to omit to much on new builds. All the best and thanks for watching 👍🏻
Great job! I was never a fan of this casting when it came out either but this is a brilliant way to actually make a cool car out of it. At some point I'd like to find a 1:43 or 1:32 scale mid engine bus model like a Leyland Leopard or Volvo B10M and cut it down into a flat bed car transporter, I drove the real ones for years so technically it's possible to do to the real ones as well.
Many thanks.... I had planned to do a Superdry race theme series which still has to gain a bit more traction i.e. I need to get my finger out and on it :)..... All the best
That was incredible! For the entire time I've watched all of your work, and kept seeing that VW transporter in the glass case, I always thought, and was convinced it was some king of special edition die-cast that you simply customized. I had no idea it was scratch built!!!
Hahaha I watch tons of fail videos too LOL! and Nurburgring / Car DashCam stuff ! Thank for taking the time to watch mine and commenting again as usual :)
Oh sure, No Big Deal to rob stuff off those MK1s 😆 Would making the thumbnail pics a bit fuzzy help? Or, well, you know my thoughts on it 😃 That turned out great, WAY more custom work than I could ever do. We enjoy the videos you do, just whatever pace you can do is good.
First time viewer and i am really impressed with your craftsmanship. Beautiful and creative build that looks fantastic and realistic too. Well done, would love to see one of these real time. Thanks for sharing your video and talents. Kind regards, stay safe and well.
Brilliant as always, i see you also inspired Jimmy at diecast Resurrection to get in to this, he built a really nice gooseneck trailer, so simple yet such striking results.
Wow!!!, very cool!!!, so well done. The transport series from hotwheels is one of my favourite ones. You just made another version that I think even looks way better then other hotwheels transport haulers. So very cool!!!.
NIce. Wish I'd seen this last night before I just did mine. Some very handy shortcuts and tips compared to what I ended up doing but it's done at least.
Fabulous Job. Makes me want one and maybe even try one on my own. Never have done a restoration or a custom but I have been watching alot of them and this is the coolest on I have watched by far. Your skills are amazing
Thank you Michael... Its a great little hobby with not a real lot of expense spared compared to going and buying a 1/24th kit for instance. It doesn't matter if you fluff things up, you can pretty much strip the paint and start again with no drama :)
Absolutely brilliant design and execution. Thanks so much for the tutorial. Inspirational stuff.... I'm only just getting back into customising...started forty odd years ago...when I was ten! Lol. Keep the great ideas coming, cheers from Australia 🍻👍
One awesome thing about this channel he treats his subscribers like humans
Its difficult keeping up but I think it's important seeing as you're kind enough to watch and comment :) All the best my friend :)
A race car with matching decals would be super dope with this
There's lots with a variation of this theme coming Luca :)
Nice build. Look into rare earth magnets to hold the bed down tight 👍
Thank you Eric. Thanks for the tip :)
Absolutely excellent work unbelievably impressive and original great job!!!!
Thank you Lee very much :)
i remember making "poops" out of mud using that green putty sausage technique. brilliant use of the kombi & 50th wheels!
Never disappointed with a sideways king video
Thank you Calvin :)

Haha Thanks Lucas. I like that 'Eyes-gasm' .... I'm using that one :)
@@SidewaysKing75 That would be an honour, Sir
Near Artisan class work and exceptionally inspiring. Every Master has a Teacher... and that would be you. Thank you for all you do for so many.
Thank you for the kind words I appreciate it very much 🙏🏻
you should save the doors you cut off they could be used as "tombstones" on mad max style cars :D
