  • Watch the moment the Queen's coffin arrives at Westminster Abbey, in full. Prince William and Prince Harry have once again put aside their differences to walk side-by-side in a procession taking Queen Elizabeth’s coffin to Westminster Abbey, London, for her funeral service. It was a solemn walk from Westminster Hall, where Queen Elizabeth has been lying in state since September 14, to the abbey, where the funeral will get underway at 11am, local time, on September 19. While William wore his military regalia, Harry, as a non-working royal, was dressed in a traditional morning suit. While both remained poker faced, walking stiff and upright, Prince Andrew and King Charles were openly crying as their march was sound tracked by bagpipes and drums.Prince George and Princess Charlotte have arrived at the funeral of their beloved great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
Photographs show George, nine, and Charlotte, seven, arriving with their mother Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Camilla, Queen Consort.
Charlotte held her mother’s hand as she walked into Westminster Abbey, with brother George just a few steps behind.
The young royals appeared to be putting on a brave face for the emotional day, where they farewelled the Queen - who they affectionately call ‘Gan Gan’.

I just need to say, whether a Royalist or not, the precision, the particular absolutely amazing detail, of those amazing British Forces!
    It is just absolutely stunning!
It will never be something that will be repeated. Only in Britain!

Since Elizabeth II died, there has been much publicity, not so much thought about why she matters, and why monarchy is helpful in general. Monarchy shouldn't be used as real-life soap opera, nor as mere material to fill space in the media.
The achievement of the British monarchy should become clear in comparison with the histories of other countries. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, and which opposes illegal dictatorship. If there are many reasons England, Wales, Scotland, Canada and Australia have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy to unify all the people is an important reason. In the UK, 'peace' in formal speech is "The King's Peace".
Of course Prince Andrew must disappear from public life; King Charles III's first marriage was a tragic mistake; Prince Philip could be tactless. Whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the unity the monarchy gives in the UK & the world. The sea around it didn't protect the U.S.A. against civil war in the 1860s, and the UK could have suffered civil war over slavery in the 19th century; likewise over world war, loss of empire, economic failure, or race in the 20th. There will always be violence and political problems in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the British monarchy and the stability it brings Britain, the commonwealth (e.g. Canada & Australia). By stabilizing Britain & the commonwealth, it promotes peace in the world. Since the 1700s, billions of people have lived under the British crown without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives. God save King Charles III, and his successors.

@@carolynmerrill4490 they’re the ones coming out with countless interviews, memoirs, podcasts, books etc about how they were victims of ‘the big bad royal family.’ They can back off the hate against their own family first, with Meghan that includes ALL sides of her own family too. She can’t maintain any actual relationships with people in her life, apart from Harry (£££). Almost no-one in her past (until she left the RF) still has a meaningful connection to her or has stuck around (not a superficial celebrity ‘friendship’ like with Serena, etc). They all seemingly have been dumped or have distanced themselves from her. There’s a common denominator in all of those broken relationships, and at some point you’ve got to ask yourself why…
