I so love that the current members of Jinjer are restraining and torturing an original member of Jinjer (Dmitriy Oksen). I love that there's always another layer to what they do. lol
I think one of the reasons they chose Dmtriy besides the fact they love him for his friendship of course, is because he is an actor. He is on television. He is part of the media. The song is about what happened with televised media, so it makes sense they hire a media personality to play the bad guy.
I don’t know why but I enjoyed that too. I think they all have the ability to actually act and be in film. Eugene DEFINITELY has the potential to be an evil character. That look he gives Dmitry and going back to Wallflower where he’s chasing Tatiana and the look he gives her not to mention where she’s shooting at him and he just kind of smirks…all things I can see an evil character do.
During an interview on a Ukrainian media channel they were interviewed by host, who was also an ex-prosecutor, on his TV show who basically set them up and verbally attacked Tatiana and Eugene on their political views of Ukraine and Russia and, they believed, how their life was good in the 80's as young kids under Russia, this caused a backlash which later branded them as un-patriot Ukranians in the media. It bothered Tatiana, so much, for three days after, so this song and video is their reply to that interview and their media.
Such a great song and video. Wallflowers is packed with great bangers. Usually a Jinjer album will have a song or two that is good but doesn't quite land for me, but I enjoy every song on the album and feel like most of them could get released as singles.
I love Disclosure! Always love Jinjer! One thing I read about this one is that it's really important when Tatiana shows her Ukrainian passport, like the band is saying to critics who call them unpatriotic, "yes, we're still Ukrainian even though we disagree about some things" (I think it's pretty horrifying that the US helped a neonazi militia to be incorporated into the Ukrainian military, our fascism begets fascism worldwide). Great reaction, thank you! ❤🖤🤘
I love this song. It is much more groove metal like Sepultura or Pantera. Although metal genres are highly debated. Listen to the chorus of Pantera - I'm Broken. The riff is similar, but different. But the vocal cadence is pretty similar. This song was inspired by a rude Ukranian interviewer who was not so courteous to Tatiana and Eugene. Tatiana wore that exact same flannel in the interview.
I am starting to love so bad female vocalists and Tatiana is amazing, i recomend to you a band caled Dream State with the song Primrose, they have a female vocalist that drives me crazy, they have vibes of As Everything Unfolds. gotta check it out, nice reaction
@@jamestalkington6306 me not liking the beginning doesn’t mean I think it’s bad 😂. I went on to talk about that being one of the reasons I love this band. They have styles that fit everyone’s needs in one song, and they constantly do that. It’s what makes this band so special.
I agree that you guys having a wide knowledge of metal bands and genres Jinjer is going o be more enjoyable. It would be hard if you only listened to one genre of metal to get into Jinjer because the changes are so frequent.
We couldn’t agree this more if we tried! They are definitely a good lesson in how knowledge and familiarity with multiple genres and styles of music can help create a beautiful song. And also how enjoying multiple genres and styles of music can help you appreciate a song more!
The detective in charge of the interrogation is Dmitry Oksen(edited😅😅😅),, their earlier rhythm guitarist,,he’s an actor now
Oh wow we would have never known that! thanks!
Dmitry Kim is a drummer
Dmitriy Oksen. Easy to mix up.
He's also one of the original members of Jinjer. Nobody in Jinjer right now is an original member lol.
@@EmAllWasTaken yupp my bad lol

Imminence with new songs Chasing Shadows and Alleviate. Two songs in one video. Play violins in metalcore and from Sweden.
Music doesn't have to be heavy to be good, bro. Wallflower was great all around.
Nobody said that it had to be 😂
@@AppleJuiceEnt no, but disliking the first half of wallflower seems to imply as much. That's all.

You should listen to vintersea another metal band with a female! Her growls and cleans are both awesome 🔥
We’ll have to add it to the list! Thank you for the recommendation!
You should try Zero Killed (feat. Björn Speed Strid) by Sense of Noise next, will not regret
