A solution to Subscript error: Open Excel file in Excel, export Customers page as CSV, append table in access. The first line of data is lost during import, manually enter. May just be the empty email field in first-line causing the issue, but this workaround worked.
Just once I would love to see someone use the caption property for a field in a table. It makes almost half the work of setting up a form or report go away. Suddenly the titles for the fields all make sense, and are consistent throughout the application.

I haven’t however resolve a query wizard issue tied to modification of the ProductManual data type to ‘attachment’. After that change, Access stops responding immediately upon selecting the products table, regardless of how focus arrived there. Query builds correctly without the attachment data type.
I trade feature on a better exchange with lesser fees, I am glad to say I was able to do that with the help of Mr Richard, he is so kind and good in tradings.
I never doubted trading with Richard Morgan after seeing his POT (Proof of Trade) I have made good profit this year, I hope to make much more in future.

Hi, What I did. tblCustomers change the ACTIVE field to number. Now do the import, once the import is done change it to YES/NO. That seems to work. The email might be a problem as well change to text, then revert back to Hyperlink.
It is probably because the table in Excel has EMail datatype set to ShortText and Active set to Number. What worked for me was to delete the table and then import it with the data using the method used for the other tables. Then, change Email and Active to the datatypes that were described when creating the table manually - that is Hyperlink and Yes/No respectively.

So I had to try the solution provided by Marcus Hammer and I finally had it working and happily proceeded to the next step. I know how something not working early on in the learning process can be discouraging. Kudos to you for making it this far and do not give up just yet! I had success importing customer data by using Excel to copy the relative worksheet out into its own workbook (I just called it ‘import customers’), then executed the external data import as directed.

I would like to learn access but I know nothing about it and so I don't get what the distiction would be. I see the Access tutorials have upwards of 18 hours of material. I would hate to do that only to find that it is out dated and I needed the Access 2019 instead, though I am not sure that is even how it works?! I am a bit confused I am sorry.
Hi Haydn! The core of Access remains relatively unchanged from version to version. We try to have training available in all versions so that it is more relevant to you.
